I have been seeing Dr. Lotenfoe for 15 years. when I first went to see him he was able to fix a problem I had for several years in one visit. Do not wait long to see him, have no problems getting appts. (same day if necessary). His staff is very polite and extremely professional. I will continue to see him.

Hello I read all the comments from Dr. Latenfoe and makes me laugh. When we go to the best doctor looking for a personality you like is secondary. He is firm short talk and nothing is wrong with that. If you need a kind social doctor that spend time talking, he in not the one that practice don’t have time to breath is always FULL of patients. His personal, nurse practitioner, secretaries are amazingly efficient and very polite. Personally, I prefer to go to the best doctor accepting him for whom he is. So everybody cool off and enjoy life.

ZERO bedside manner! The physician is rude and careless. After your vasectomy procedure, you will not get any follow up appointment. If you are having side effects or going through a normal healing process and have questions, they will not be addressed until you pay more money. What you can expect is to wait in the waiting room then patient room for a hour or more past your appointment time, the physician walks in for five minutes, treats you rudely and unprofessionally, leaves you with questions unanswered, and acts like you are wasting his time. He has no trust in his staff to communicate basic things. He will not return your calls unless he can bill you for it. Incredible, friendly service. The front office staff works tirelessly to help get you seen and address your problems and pain. Dr. Lotenfoe explains in detail what is causing your pain and genuinely cares for his patients. When he found out I was on the phone, after not being given proper updates from the ER, he requested I come in immediately so he could help me and inform me of the next steps. This office validates the patients' pain and genuinely wants to help you heal and recover. He was so rude, blaming patient for lab results that were incomplete. Would not go to his office again. He pointed the finger at me telling me I was responsible of the incomplete lab results that I did not have any control over it. He needs to find another job not as a doctor.

Probably the shadiest healthcare office I"ve ever been to. Went for a consultation for a Vasectomy. Arrived at the appointment time of 10:00, had me fill out about 15 pages of irrelevant information, and then had me sit in the waiting room until 11:00. Had me pay for the visit before admitting me to see the Dr (for a consultation) based on Prior Authorization information, wouldn't wait until the claim was settled to see what the insurance would actually pay. The DR came in, gave me a 5 minute speech that was pretty standard, reading off a screen. Told me he sent a prescription in for drugs to take before and after the procedure (hadn't yet decided I wanted to use him, but whatever). Had to go out where the discharge nurse would give me additional information. The only thing the discharge nurse did was tell me that in order to book an appointment for the procedure I'd have to make a cash deposit. Oh, and all the billing, even though this office (I assume they are independent) is located in an office within a large healthcare facility, is done using square on a mobile device -- you know, kind of like the farmers market that I go to on Saturday mornings. I will not be going back, and I will not me making a cash deposit to book an appointment with this office. I will find a professional healthcare provider to trust this procedure with. bad doctor, on the day of the surgery he told me he was going to remove the kidney stone and until I left the hospital, the hospital and I thought he had it, I only found out a few days later that I still had the stone in my kidney and still, The bad doctor asked me to pretend I was in pain after 30 days to be admitted to the hospital and he told me he would have the machine to remove the available stone

Had Urolift procedure done in Mar of 2021....very painful recovery first week....procedure failed.......NO difference in flow. Still on flow meds 7 months later. Will not return.

Any knowledge or expertise that Dr. Lotenfoe possesses is masked beneath his horrible personality, lousy bedside manner, inability to listen or show compassion and his lack of basic interpersonal skills.

Dr. Lotenfoe is simply the best. Excellent care, excellent diagnostics, thorough and makes sure your questions are answered and spends as much time as needed to care for your needs.

I initially went with Dr. Lotenfoe because he was the only doctor in Central Florida I could find that does prostate laser surgery. What a great choice. Dr. Lotenfoe's office staff could not have been more responsive, both in setting up my initial appointment and all through the process. Dr. Lotenfoe is a no nonsense, down to the issue and direct kind of guy; and I like that. The laser surgery avoided any incisions or sutures. Of course it was uncomfortable, but nothing nearly as bad as the reports I have read about other prostate removal procedures. A home health nurse (not affiliated with Dr. Lotenfoe's office) unsuccessfully removed my catheter a week after my procedure and had to reinsert a new one. That catheter became problematic and because it was during the weekend I wound up in the Emergency Room. Dr. Lotenfoe immediately responded to the ER doctor's call and advised how to proceed. Even the ER doctor was impressed by his quick response. I called Dr. Lotenfoe's office at 8:30 Monday morning and at 10:00 am I was worked into his schedule, quickly setting out a path to resume recovery. I have struggled with urinary problems that my old Urologist could not correct. On my initial visit to Dr Lotenfoe he knew right away what he suspected my problem was but to be safe had me take a CT scan, Blood Work, Urine examination and a 24 hour urine specimen. He also prescribed me a prescription which would help me in the short term before my follow up visit. He told me what my options would be (medicine, surgical, etc) but made me relaxed with knowing we were going to do these tests first rather than jump into expensive surgical corrections. Yesterday I had the follow up appointment and Dr Lotenfoe carefully and professionally explained to me the results of my tests, and told me I only had a bladder issue which could be resolved simply with a 30 day prescription. I am happy to say in just two days my problem was cured. For two years I suffered urinating but in just two visits to Dr Lotenfoe I am now cured. Amazing. Dr. Lotenfoe was great! Had a recent intervention for a kidney stone at the hospital. He was really good with the care of his staff (the medical group). Him and the team treated me with much care and I’m grateful for it. Just recommendation to everyone, remember to always drink more water than you usually to in order to remove all of those stone remains, otherwise it’s gonna hurt! Dr Lotenfoe diagnosed me with kidney cancer when there was a "suspicious" spot on my kidney without first getting the results of a CT scan. I spent days thinking I had cancer but the CT scan later said it was just a stone. He should have waited to see what the further test found before definitively saying I had cancer! Reckless! This doctor put a stent on me 3 months ago and he doesn't remove it. The attendants want to charge me money otherwise he doesn't have availabitity. I have health insurance. I have been to the Orlando Hospital and I have the reports. The stones are gone 2 months ago and I am having infection with this stent. The attendants hung up on me. Just had an emergency kidney stone removal with this MD, he is completely incompetent and could care less about the patient. I went to the ER, & was admitted. When I was moved, they forgot to add orders for pain & nausea meds I had been getting. I went 5 hrs before they figured out what happened & Dr Lotenfoe showed up for a consult stating I needed to have large stone removed later that day- nurses asked him to write orders for pain and nausea meds, explaining what had happened... he stood there shouting at us both “that it wasn’t his Job, it was the Attending Drs job”... nurse explained she had put in a call, but was still waiting... “Dr Lotenfoe flat out refused” He also cut me off when I tried to tell him I had passed a large kidney stone, on the Other side, a month prior, stating “It was part of the SAME stone? I had to tell him in the OR to read my Medical Record, because he almost put in a stint which I can’t tolerate & after stone fragments were Huge, not sand. Still can’t pee!

Dr. Lotenfoe and his Staff was very kind and genuinely helpful to me and my wife during my visit on August 28th 2019. My 1st visit was 12-years ago for a Vasectomy which was fast friendly and great experience and that's why I returned for his help and guidance for Prostate issues. I've recommended Dr. Lotenfoe in the past to my colleagues for his near painless Vasectomy procedure. My wife and I trusted him then and it worked out great and now I'm trusting him again with my life. His office staff was very pleasant and went out of their way to assist me.

Worst experience I've ever had with any Doctor in my 57 years on this planet. His bedside manner is terrible. He entered the room and very arrogantly said, "Why are you here?". I began to tell him why and he held up his hand and said, "Stop, I don't have time!". I felt like he was talking down to me the entire time. He refused to give details of treatment he wanted to do, and I got the impression that his attitude was for me to just shut up, he is the Doctor, and to do whatever he says. I asked for some clarification on some procedures he wanted to do, as far as recovery time etc....I asked him what to expect as far as discomfort and asked if it was a painful procedure, to which he replied, "Not for me!". I cannot stress how upsetting it was to deal with him. He doesn't seem to want to spend more than 5 minutes with you. I since have gone to Dr. D'Angelo out of Heart of Florida and my experience with him couldn't have been better. In my opinion Lotenfoe is a jerk.

My brother went to see Dr. Lotenfoe and was given medication for his condition on told him the medication was to prepare him for surgery whenmy brother went the second time the doctor what the doctor told him was completely different form his first visit and whatever he told my brother whats not useful to his condition and only made my brother come out from the office very stressful. This doctor has no compassion for patients. I wouldn’t give him any stars but the site won’t allow it.

I had a vasectomy just last friday Feb 1 2018 was painless and quick recovery was great i highly recommend him for this procedure and note I took laughing gas to take my mind off it by the time I looked up he was done already

I called Dr. Lotenfoe's office regarding shockwave treatment for ED. I was told they could schedule two treatments during my initial visit; and if I didn't complete all treatments as scheduled, I would have to to start the treatments from the beginning. A dangerous and frightening experience to say the least. He immediately wanted to perform an unnecessary biopsy on my prostate, right there in his non-sterile office. The next Urologist recommended a wait and see approach. Now, six months later my PSA has dropped to the high side of normal. After 25 yrs in this field . . . it makes one wonder. Would that I had not fallen for his advertisement. Sorry I sound so negative. But swear on my Father's grave, I have told the truth. Avoid !!!!!

Dr. Lotenfoe was short, cold, impatient and minimally concerned with my condition. I 2nd-guessed myself as I assumed he may be better in that he was also the most expensive at $350.00 initial consult with $150.00 followup costs. Nice facilities with likely high rent was all it was. Dr. Lotenfoe's staff & he made mistakes resulting in a wasted appointment. Notwithstanding they paying no attention to my day wasted & charging me again unfairly. My son has been having ongoing issues that have not been properly diagnosed and needed the advice of a specialist. So, we were referred to Dr. Lotenfoe. He had an arrogant and sarcastic attitude towards my son and I. He was very rude and condescending towards my son. He was not compassionate to his situation and became upset when asked to reexamine and said some inappropriate and uncalled-for statements towards my son . Having experienced incredible urologists in New Jersey, I was hoping to find an equally good doctor down here. Dr. Lotenfoe was recommended to me by Centra, and my experience was far from professional, caring and a terrible experience. He did not complete my course of antibiotics and was rude and condescending to me. I would never recommend him to anyone most especially because I know what a great urologist should be like.

Doctor worked quick. He did not spend time answering questions. Basically walks in the room and starts typing on the computer. Poor bedside manors. Staff was friendly and I asked most of my questions to the nurse as the doctor clearly was in a hurry for both of my appointments. Now I realize why I was able to get an appointment with his as quickly as I did. Would Recommend another urologist.

Dr Lotenfoe operated on me several years ago. It did not go well. He told me he "nicked a blood vessel at the end and let it run its course". A second doctors opinion was he severed an artery early on in the operation and could not see to finish and couldnt understand why he didnt use the laser to stop the bleeding and just let me bleed out. Dr Lotenfoe was very attentive to my explanation of my symptoms. He informed me of what was to be next on and for my treatment and I was happy to hear what he said . Matter of fact I told him I was happy to hear what was to happen next so he can evaluate my health.

I when to see Dr Lotenfoe as a second opinion.I was diagnosed with prostate cancer by Dr Wheller at Sarasota Fl. I thank God everyday for Dr Lotenfoe, he is honest, wise,and balance, he is all about the patient and never about making money off the misfortune of others. He will not induce fear in his patients to make money. It has been my experience that medicine is a cruel business and it is a breeze of fresh air to meet a true honest men and in my opinion a fantastic doctor.

This doctor has very poor bedside manner. I was in the hospital with a large kidney stone. He just wanted to send me home with pain meds. He said it couldn't be hurting me due to its location and told me to find another doctor at another hospital who would take my insurance. When I stated I wanted a different Doctor, he stormed out of the room and slammed the door. All of this was done and said in front of my nurse. Research your doctors before trusting them.

The doctor didn't seem interested in my concerns. He didn't stand during the whole visit and was more focused on the computer than on me. The wait time is quite long and the prices are very high. I wouldn't recommend him.

From the moment that I walked into the Doctor's office, I was impressed by a warm, helpful and professional staff. At each of my four test sessions the doctor's assistants: - treated me with great dignity. - they were very patient and made me relaxed. - they carefully explained the purpose of each procedure. Dr Lotenfoe: At our first contact, I felt that Dr. L cared about me and that he was competent. Today, knowing the results of my tests, he has diminished my fears. Thanks!

My experience with Dr Lotenfoe was very good. He professionally helped me alleviate my urology problem.

My father had a tragic spinal cord injury that left him paralyzed from the neck down for over 24 hrs. After successful spinal surgery, he had urinary bladder retention/difficulty urinating and an indwelling catheter with no guarantee of normalcy for the future. Dr. L. diagnosed and put him on a VERY specific bladder training program and PROPER straight catheters to retrain his bladder. His expertise, care, treatment plan was a huge success and his urinary system is totally back to normal use!!!

I have been seeing Dr. Lotenfoe for a few years now. I think he is very knowledgeable, very easy to talk to, very easy to understand, very down to earth, most of all he takes his time.

From my parents first meeting of Dr. Lotenfoe and his staff, they were very impressed with the efficiency of of how their office was conducted along with the thoroughness of the doctor?s examination & explanation of his treatment and surgical procedure. His Greenlight laser procedure went very well and his symptoms improved drastically. Dr. Lotenfoe is known amongst the community to be one of the most skilled surgeons in the area that performs Greenlight laser surgery. Thank you Dr. Lotenfoe!

He was walking out the door as I asked questions and voiced concerns. His 2 second exam made me %100 uncomfortable. I can see by his other reviews that I am not alone. When you stop listening to patients, you have no business being a doctor.

I had and still have a very bad case of Interstitial cystitis and he did nothing for me at all.. he never told me of the treatment options..but I asked over n over.. I on my own found out about elmiron and got treated by my internal med dr. thank god to help me get out from the pain. lotenfoe was lazy diagnosed me with an overactive bladder and just gave me lots and lots of pyridium but nothing else. then they tried to get me to buy things from them direct
