From our early research, initial consultation, his entire support team the Advent Health Orlando facility and staff, and Dr. Patel, the care my husband, 57, received for his prostate cancer and radical prostatechtomy via DaVinci and Dr. Patel, we could not be more thankful for an amazing outcome. Communication was clear, concise and supportive every step of the way. About a year from consultation to post surgical clearance, and everything is as good as they said it would be. I'm two weeks out of RP surgery at only age 54. WORLD CLASS is the best descriptor I can use to characterize my pre-op consult, surgery and post-op visit. Excellent doctor and staff with an impeccable office and hospital.

I had my surgery completed a year ago today, I did a lot of research going into it and I couldn't be happier with the results. Dr. Patel and his staff did an amazing job! Thank You!

Dr. Patel and each of his staff in every capacity are caring, talented and very knowledgeable professionals. Their soulful approach and attitude provided peace of mind and optimism to someone who had little to no experience with medical procedures and cancer treatment. Dr. Patel and his people were exemplary.

Dr. Patel and each one of his people provided amazing care that was knowledgeable, committed and had a great deal of soul at the heart of it. The whole experience created a peace of mind for his patients that is unique and so important for someone like myself, inexperienced with serious medical problems.

I thought going for the surgeon with 10,000+ was the best move. I was wrong. 2 years out I am still incontinent which I believe is from botched surgery for a very simple tumor (size less than 5%). Another surgeon wrote that taking Viagra before surgery helped him. I sent 2 emails asking for advice and never got a response (negligence). So I took the pill. Apparently it swells the prostate and enhances bleeding which may have upset their highly mechanized routine procedure. My advice to anyone needing radical prosetectomy? Find a new urologist eager to prove himself, early in his medical practise, who will cherish you, be extra careful and fastidious and not put you on an assembly line that has no room for change. I recently took my father there to see this Doctor, he may be very good at his job but his people skills are horrible. He treats patients with NO empathy, patience, respect and like if he is doing them a favor that he didn’t wish to do but he has to do it. When in fact he is getting paid for a service… hope when you get sick you are not treated so disrespectfully… God bless you and improved your life I can only imagine how horrible you feel inside to treat your patients in vulnerable moments like you do. This upcoming week November 7 will be 5 years since Dr. Patel removed my prostate, now 5 years later I am cancer free with a undetectable PSA count. I have never felt better and everything is working great. Thank you again Dr. Patel for saving my life. Although Dr. Patel performed the surgery as expected based on his reputation and volume of services, the overall experience from his staff and the staff at Advent Health Celebration Medical Center left a lot to be desired. The hospital staff was belligerent with respect to Covid protocols and patient experience was sub-standard. The staff at Dr. Patel's office seemed ill-prepared with regard to the overall patient prep leading up to surgery and did not provide good information before, during and after the surgical experience. The only consistent theme, was "well before Covid, we did things like this," however my procedure was 9 months into the pandemic and the staff seems to have failed in modifying their process. Lack of communication, lack of process and overall a disappointing experience. I expected better. Dr. Patel managed to put together an outstanding team of people. I have not experienced that level of care anywhere else. That combined with his surgical skills and medical expertise made the surgery as pleasant as a surgery can be. Thank you Dr. Patel

Stay Away! Very impersonal, he will have all the patients lined up in a row and do several in one day but you are just another number. You will not see him for after surgery care you will only see his nurses or PA only. Promised me that I would be dry by next visit. He left me in pads for incontinence and its well over a year since surgery. His nerve sparing surgery also caused ED so bad that the pills do not even work. If I had to do it again it would be with somebody else.

Dr Patel performed robotic prostatectomy 3 months ago. All aspects of the procedure and post operative care at Advent Hospital went like clockwork. Yes he does alot of these but that's a good thing when one considers the experience needed to do it right. Office team has been gracious, knowledgeable, efficient and helpful throughout. I am in my mid seventies and had a large prostate with cancer that had breached the nerves on one side; he prewarned that post op potency could be an issue, which is the case. Continence is improving at this point and anticipate dryness in the near future. PSA now undetectable. Highly recommend this surgeon and his team.

Dr. Patel performed a robotic prostatectomy on me about 2-1/2 years ago. The hospital is wonderful and the procedure took only 1-1/4 hours. It appears Dr. Patel got all the cancer as my PSA has been zero ever since. I regained continence pretty quickly and have not needed pads for over 2 years. My ability to have erections took a bit longer but also returned. Dr. Patel was completely successful at sparing all nerves and his post-surgical care has been excellent. I give him my highest recommendation.

Dr. Vipul Patel preformed his magic on me on 6/15, 6AM and I am cancer free as of last PSA test this week. My recovery has been way ahead of schedule due to the doctors skill set. Thank you Dr. Patel.

Fantastic surgeon

Everything that the doctor told me would happen, happened on time, and without complications. I cannot recommend him highly enough. If you want the best surgeon for a prostatectomy this is the surgeon to go to.

I received A-1 care by Dr. Patel and all his staff. 2nd to none from the time of initial appointment to the care I received at Advent-Health in Celebration. It was a great team effort by his staff and Dr. Patel.

I would highly recommend Dr. Vipul Patel. I recently underwent a Laparoscopic Robotic Assited Surgery. Dr. Patel and his staff had made the entire process very smooth and reassuring. Dr. Patel is an amazing Robotic Surgeon. After surgery I had full control of my urination after 2 weeks. I had full erections after 2 months and PSA levels are -0001 which is a great number to have. I would recommend him to anyone that have prostate cancer. The staff was informative and the follow up calls were consistent. Currently 9 months after I have no side effects. I will have some dribbles of urine if laughing or sneezing but that's very rare. The medication they prescribed works perfect.

In early August 2019, Dr. Patel performed proctectomy surgery on me in Orlando. The entire process was very efficient and the follow-up care was very good.

I had surgery with Doctor Patel three months ago and can say that my outcome after the surgery is excellent.I did not have practically any incontinence,no pain after the procedure and my path to recover my potency is getting better everyday.Thanks Doctor for your excellent Job. I was referred unanimously by all of my doctors to Dr. Patel. Everyone said he is one of the best in the world at the DaVinci robotic prostate removal surgery. I found Dr. Patel and his staff to be amazing. Pre-op counseling was provided, and post-op follow ups and counseling have been consistent and helpful. I would recommend Dr. Patel to anyone who has been recommended for surgical treatment of prostate cancer.

Not sure what happened with you guys but I have nothing but positive things to say about Dr Patel and His Staff I would highly recommend Him to any friends or family! The only thing that changed in my life is I had cancer before I met Him , and now I dont ! 4 years August ??????

His doctor killed my father!! He performed surgery and supposedly my father was cancer free but he never followed up with the proper exams and never referred him to an oncologist! My fathers cancer enedd up all over his body including his brain after the proper follow up was not done for 2 years, even after my father asked for it and was denied! He based it all off of a PSA number that was normal until the day he died!

Horrible. The office first comes off as caring and poised. But then as time goes on information starts to become mismanaged and confusing. They mentioned I was a possible candidate for seeds and then when I changed my mind and wanted to discuss seeds they denied ever saying that. Definitely do not recommend them, if simple communication cannot be accurate leaves a huge unknown for anything else that would follow. It's very sad as I have prostate cancer and have had for some time now just to result in this misinformation. Unbelievable, now I have to start all over and find another oncologists. Great! No thanks to him or his staff.

Dr. Patel performed a robotic prostatectomy on me July 15th, 2019. I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy and manage a large orthopedic medical practice and part of my job is quality assurance. Without hesitation, Dr. Patel and his team are one of the best at what they do. Organized, pleasant, informative, available, clean office, and they treat you like family. The surgery was one of the easiest medical events of my life. In and out in one day. Everyone at Florida Hospital and Dr Patel's staff were friendly and skilled. Catheter bag off in only 5 days ! No incontinence. Walking over a mile in 6 days. Kept waiting for all the extra bills since Dr Patel is the number one rated surgeon. None ever came. My Humana medicare advantage covered it all. So blessed that Dr Patel accepts most insurance plans as payment in full. Could go on, but if considering surgery Dr Patel is the best, period. Maybe Dr Patel has a bad office because the office may own him. That would explain a doctor with good reviews about him, and terrible reviews about the office staff. Any time there is a bad office under the doctor there may be medical risk and unwarranted stress if one proceeeds. I called the office by phone and was disconnected when the call was supposed to be transferring.

Dr Patel himself & immediate support staff nearest him are very good and why his reputation is so regarded. The scheduler and new patient coordinator are absolutely as completely frustrating as others have reviewed. These people have the worst professionalism I’ve ever encountered in a medical office. Given everyone in there has cancer, it makes it especially concerning and a wonder anyone stays to find out how good he is. It’s a shame as literally everything else about the care was top notch.

WOW What a staff and Doctor 2 yrs. today clean and green!

Dr Patel may very well be as great as his reputation states, but unfortunately we will never know. His staff members that we dealt with Alina ( initial contact) and Jackie (scheduler) were both EXTREMELY frustrating to deal with!!! Such a lack of concern for patients, only communicating thru emails and mostly at the end of the day. EVERYTHING is extremely SLOW and considering the fact that you don’t live in the area and need to PLAN, its just impossible.!

Dr Patel is the best . I had my surgery Jan of 2016 , and so far psa is perfect . And the healing process takes time so be Paicent .

There has to one guy in every field who is the absolute best and this is the guy. Could go on for hours about the results and level of care I received. I drove over 10 hours from Alabama to get him to do my surgery and if I had to drive from ALASKA knowing what I know now, I would have. Since my surgery I have met a couple of guys who had their prostate removed by local Doctors and believe me it DOES make a difference who is working on you with a DaVinci Robot. Dr. Patel is a rock star!! When I first got my prostate cáncer diagnosis, I panicked, of course, but Dr. Patel and his staff quickly addressed all my concerns. The operation was quick and problem free, except for using a catheter for three days. After that, I was incontinent and impotent for about three month AND THAT WAS IT!! Four years later, I am feeling fine. I am no longer incontinent and have no impotence issues whatsoever, if fact, quite the contrary. I LOVE DR. PATEL!! He saved my life.

This is the most incompetent physician's office! This reflects on who hired, trained and keeps them in place.....i.e. Vipul Patel. The worst one is the "new patient coordinator", Alina. My doctor recommended I try Patel, and Alina told me that Patel does not do this surgery. My doctor called Patel, so Alina called me back to say she did not say that. I played back the conversation we had, and she hung up and asked coworkers not to call me back. Patel does not know what goes on in his office!

Developed prostate cancer at age 53. Went through radiation treatment which was ultimately unsuccessful. Dr. Patel was one of very few surgeons willing to attempt prostate removal after radiation treatment. Prostate removal surgery performed in November 2012. Excellent results. Cancer free since.

After being diagnosed with prostate cancer I read everything I could get my hands on concerning treatments and physicians. I saw doctors at John Hopkins, UF Health, Cleveland Clinic, Sloan Kettering and Dr. Patel. (Insurance paid for all visits, I paid for all travel, your life is worth no less) I chose Dr. Patel from his superior experience and personality. He is truly a caring man and will answer all your questions. On each post surgery visit, 5 over two years, Dr. Patel personally saw me.

botched taking out my prostate. I still have cancer, I now leak, and the dang guy cut the nerves to my penis. Another oncologist told me that almost 100% of the time when your score is above ten, taking out the prostate will not get all the cancer. Patel did not begin to tell me that. So, he sells surgery but I needed radiation. Now I have all these problems and I still need radiation. I could have skipped surgery if he would have told me the truth. I sent an e mail to him, no response.

Dr Patel performed prostatectomy 3 years ago using DaVinci Robot. I am still cancer free w NO psa registering on blood tests. No side effects from surgery with 100% full functions. I recommend him frequently......truly highly skilled, top surgeon!

Most trusted Doctor I have ever been to!Excellent in all fields,confident,amazing,and genuine. I had robotic surgery a week ago and feeling great! His staff from his office to the hospital just outstanding!. I love you all:)
