One of the best I have had sense I was a kid.

I went for a root cannel and the service from staff was excellent from the time I arrived until I left the office. Then the after care phone call was also greatly appreciated. I am very grateful and appreciative of the professionalism of the staff.

I was very pleased with Dr. R R Westphal. He put me at ease and explained everything in detail. I am picky about dentists since my father was one and I am a retired oncology nurse so have great appreciation for being told what is being done and the results expected. His staff was welcoming. He was excellent! This was several years ago.

Dr. Westphal and staff were very considerate of COVID precautions and made sure everyone was safe. He treated my son for a root canal and I could hear him laughing from the waiting room. How on earth you can perform a root canal on a 12 year old AND make him laugh is beyond me. Thank you!

One hundred percent, five stars, kudos all around this office for professionalism, courtesy, kindness and caring. The staff is exceptional, start to finish. They pursued the insurance for necessary procedures and helped me navigate the path every step of the way. In addition, Dr's specialized skills provided me a wonderful experience during and after my root canal. He was very thorough and even called me that evening to check on my status! I highly recommend this location for any endodontic work you may need.

My son needed a root canal! They got us in quick. The staff was very awesome and knowledgeable. It’s always hard trusting new people when it comes to your child, but we both felt very comfortable and everything went great!

Unparalleled professionalism and integrity displayed by the doctor and staff alike. Dr. Westphal even called my home later in the evening to check on my status as he promised he would, who does that? Wish there were more providers like them in Chaffee County. If I could give 10 stars, I would!

Dr. Westphal put me at ease immediately and even tho his testing showed I didn't need the root canal, I will go back to him should it become necessary. The office personnel was so helpful, both prior to and during the visit. I highly recommend these people to every one and am thankful to have met them.

This was my first root canal and Dr. Westphal and his staff were amazing. Dr. Westphal explained everything that was going to happen, and demonstrated using my x-ray, prior to starting the procedure so there were no surprises. Periodically, throughout the procedure, he and Melissa asked if I was doing okay. They truly care about their patients comfort.

I would highly recommend Dr. Westphal. I had a root canal and the procedure was about as painless as I think would be possible. I had some pain complications afterwards and he provided excellent followup support and made himself available when I needed him. The office is very clean and well equipped. He also has excellent support staff.

Dr. Westphal was fantastic!!!  He was very knowledgeable and thorough in diagnosing my issues.  He also took the time to patiently explain his diagnosis and proposed treatment ... plus explained my other options.  His prices were very, very reasonable.  His assistant was also patient, professional and thorough.

Dr. Westphal is a pro. Probably the best. I have super deep roots and more canals than average person. Glad I went to him. I've had one other root canal in the past and it didn't take based on the canal/root issue. The money is worth it.. it's your tooth. Aftercare was zero. He nailed it.

Dr. Westphal is the most competent and highly skilled professional with whom I have ever dealt. Although it is unfortunate when one requires a root canal procedure, Dr. Westphal is the guy you want to do it. His incredible patience and meticulous attention to detail, combined with his extensive experience give the patient the best possible chance of a successful outcome. He has now done two root canals for me. Both were successful, despite, in one case, very difficult access. He's the best!

Dr. Westphal is a very good, knowledgeable Endodontist. My husband had a root canal last spring and Dr. Westphal preformed it. All went well. So when I had to have a root canal this fall I too called Dr. Westphal. He explained the procedure very well and answered my questions. His dental assistant is also very knowledgeable and friendly. He checks with you during the procedure and called me that evening to see how I was doing after it. It was a pain free experience.

I was referred to Dr. Westphal by Salida Family Dentistry (another great dental office) to have re-treatment for a root canal done many years ago. Having had several root canals in the past, I can honestly say that this was the best ever. With 4 canals, it was a very intense procedure, and he explained the entire process. I was able to save the tooth, thanks to his expertise. His assistant, Juliet, and the front desk girl, Kristen, were both so nice and did their best to get me in.

I have experienced many different dentist over my life, I found Dr Westphals staff welcoming, kind, thoughtful, caring and there for me in every possible way. I found my experience remarkable. Dr Westphal and his assistants were so professional and reduced stress at every turn. There dedication and expertise allowed my sick tooth to get exactly what it needed. I WAS VERY SATISFIED WITH THE SERVICES I RECEIVED WITH DR. WESTPHAL. I FELT HE REALLY KNEW WHAT HE WAS DOING AND WOULD CONTINUE UNTIL HE GOT IT RIGHT.

There was a long wait before treatment due to an office mixup. The Dr. took lots of time explaining the procedure and answered all questions for me. Root canals aren't fun but I was comfortable during the three hours it took. The Dr. remarked afterwards that he would have stayed home if he had known it would be this difficult! I agreed and appreciated his good humor.

Throughout a challenging root canal with a difficult front tooth, Dr Westphal never lost his patience. He continued to explain what was happening and why it was difficult to reach the actual nerve canal. I very much appreciated his kindness and determination to save the tooth rather than recommending an extraction. His staff members were also very supportive and kind.

I had to have an emergency root canal, Dr. Westphal was recommended by my Dentist. Luckily I was able to see Dr. Westphal very soon. I was apprehensive about a new Doctor, but his Staff Jeanne & Kelly made me feel at ease. Dr. Westphal gave a thorough exam of the tooth & area and a root canal was needed. Almost 3 hrs. Later, it was done. I was amazed, no pain what so ever. He said they had movies that I could watch while he was doing the procedure so time would pass faster. This was a great idea, to distract me from the procedure. He really worked to clear out the roots without damaging my crown where the problem was and not injuring the teeth nearby. When it was done, he explained again what he had done. I also had no pain from the procedure during my first night and this am, I am impressed by his work. I have had great Dentists in Northern CA, and since moving to Colorado and he is right there on the top of the Best. Thank you Dr. Westphal & staff. Job well done.
