I hate to leave anything other than a stellar review because Paul Boerema is the best doctor I’ve ever been to in my 58 years. Very kind and thoughtful. Also very careful to follow the science which is much appreciated. Like another reviewer Said though, the office staff is very unpleasant to deal with. If my decision to go there was based only on my interactions with office staff there’s no way I’d ever go there. The only reason I stopped going was that I changed insurance companies and the office didn’t accept the new insurance.

My husband and I have been going to Dr. Boerema for 5 years. He takes the time needed to address our concerns and answer our questions, and he is very kind, caring, and helpful. We couldn't have chosen a better doctor!

Best Dr in town! Been my Dr for 10 yrs..very caring and has awesome bed side manner!

Great doctor! Very thorough. Explains every detail. He’s genuinely concerned about your well-being Best doctor I’ve ever had.

I have known Dr. Boerema for many years and as a physician myself, chose him for my primary doc based on my very high opinion of his abilities and personality. He is an excellent physician and an incredibly nice person.

Dr. Boerema is great. 100%, awesome doctor. His office staff acts like patients are annoying them and keeping them from doing their work. They need a course in customer service and putting the patient first. I will continue to go because the Dr is great (and the whole medical staff that I've dealt with), but just be prepared for some of the office staff to underwhelm you. Hoping this will improve over time, but every member of my family was treated this way...as well as all my friends that I've referred. Dr. Boerema is great. 100%, awesome doctor. We have used Dr Boerema for several years and have been very pleased with him. He doesn't hesitate to refer you to a specialist if one is needed.

I consider Dr. Boerema the BEST doctor around! He listens intently and addresses all of my concerns without a time limit. I have NEVER felt rushed and he will answer any questions I may have. I appreciate that he gives detailed information and is always very thorough. I also appreciate that when I take my 83-year-old mother, he will talk directly to her and shows much respect. She has dementia issues but he treats her with such kindness and respect. He has the best bedside manner and I wouldn't recommend any other doctor. His nurse and technicians all are very professional and great at their job as well.

First visit for a physical. I found Dr. Boerema to be professional, positive, an attentive listener and friendly. I took time to express my health priorities and expectations and he engaged to meet all expectations. Covid-19 protocols were in place and all staff members seemed attentive to the protocols. All might be well served to speak a little louder than usual due to the masking.

This doctor's office is very good and everyone has a great attitude. Mr Boerema has been my primary for little over a year and is fantastic.

It is rare to find a Dr. that will that the time to listen to you anymore. Dr. Boerema has always took time to listen to me on what I am feeling and talks to me about what is going on. I have found him to be very helpfull and seems to turly care.

Great Doctor. He listens, has a great sense of humor (or at least pretends to laugh at my jokes), and seems to genuinely care.

This used to would be a 5 Star review. However, the last several times I have tried to see MY doctor, he doesn’t have the time and they place me with someone else. The office staff has become more and more rude and in accommodating - which is a shame because I used to consider them the best in Cleveland. Between the doctor never being available to see you and the rudeness of the staff, I suppose it is time to find a new doctor.

Been going to Boerma for a while, 5 + years , the past year i have grown to despise the man, I got very frustrated when i had to keep constantly going back to his office at least every month if not every two weeks because i was having personal problems with stress and anxiety. He started me off on anti depressants and over the course of a few months just kept changing the dose from 5 to 10 to 15, then he finally changed the brand and started me on the lowest dose AGAIN from 5 to 10 to 15. then i told him these antidepressants arent helping and he changed it to a non narcotic axiety ( told him i had symptoms of anxiety from day 1, *note* when he changed it to the non narcotic anxiety 10 months later, my dad just had a heart attack, i wrecked mine and my girlfriends car, lost my job, was kicked out of my house, and to top it all of i got this dr telling me im too young to have anxiety. im in my 20s, but just so you know my father also goes to boerma and i remember he had to go back to boerma over 5 or 6 times to get the medication he needed. (he is 50 years old) so when i went back because the lowest dose of the anti anxiety wasnt working i was honest with them about how i drink and smoke occasionally BECAUSE everything he would give me wouldnt work. Instead of moving me from 5mg of anti depressants to 10mg, they REFUSED to up the dose or even write me a refill for the medication i was taking at the time, so here i am a year later about 400 if not $500 later in copay still have anxiety and depression more then ever thanks to this man, would highly NOT recommend Been going to Boerma for a while, 5 + years , the past year i have grown to despise the man, I got very frustrated when i had to keep constantly going back to his office at least every month if not every two weeks because i was having … More

What a wonderful experience to have a physician to actually spend time getting to know a patient and not be treated like a number. He was caring, knowledgeable, and took time ordering the appropriate tests. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a Great doctor. Also the medical staff in the office was kind.

I have found Dr Boerema to be an excellent young doctor. It is possible to see him or an associate on short notice - often the same day. The Sunday morning hours are convenient as well. With the ease of access to see a doctor and the Sunday hours, there is no need to use a walk-in. I feel better knowing all my records are in one place and the service of Dr. Boerema and the staff at Family Medicine Center are professional and helpful. Very friendly! Great bedside manner ! Seems to sincerely listen and be concerned with my overall health and wellness.

Very caring, listens carefully, does a thorough exam, and then fully explains what is going on and what medicine he will prescribe. He and his nurse both are wonderful with patients and mu husband and I highly recommend Dr. Boerema. Top notch doctor. Has taken very good care of both of us.
