I suffered from symptoms due to a significant pelvic organ prolapse which worsened during COVID. Due to my medical background, I am particular about my health care providers and the care provided. Therefore, I did extensive research for a urogynecology and pelvic surgeon and chose Dr. Nicolette Horbach. She has a distinguished medical career and extensive years of experience as a surgeon. Although, there was a length of time to wait for the initial appointment, Dr. Horbach was worth the wait! Dr. Horbach is respectful, caring, presents a very calm manner and understands what women are experiencing in pelvic medicine. She is detailed oriented, very thorough, gentle in her examinations and clearly explains comprehensively the problem and various treatment options to the patient. She provides diagrams of the problem and treatment options with statistical data on success rates of each option to guide patients in their decision-making process. For a number of years I suffered from symptoms of pelvic organ prolapse. After trying various treatments, I realized I needed surgery, which I put off because of COVID but also because I was frightened of major surgery. I researched urogyn. surgeons in the area and, despite the distance, felt Dr. Horbach to be the "right fit". I was correct. Dr. Horbach was both professional and sympathetic.. She explained in terms anyone could understand and also had many suggestions for helping with everything pre-op to post-op. Just talking to her the morning of surgery calmed my fears. Everything went smoothly and my progress has been phenomeLaurnal. Her office staff was courteous and friendly. The Inova hospital staff that was her "team" were very knowledgeable and helpful. The surgery went on time and discharge the next day was before noon, which made my husband and me very happy. This surgery has been life-changing! I can't praise Dr. Horbach enough and would recommend her to anyone.

Excellent. Dr. Nicholette S. Horbach spent plenty of time with me at my first appointment today. She explained my issues carefully & patiently with a detailed diagram & described treatment options. She performed an internal exam horizontally & vertically. had the diagram copy to take home. The results of the office visit was online that evening, which I saved. Dr. Horbach also reviewed my earlier test and made a copy for my file. I have had many fine gynecologists for 54 years and I know good physicians. I also worked at a medical school as as assistant professor and met many good doctors. I respect & like Dr. Horbach & plan to go back.

Dr. Horbach thoroughly explained every aspect of my prolapse problem as well as the different methods for correcting it. I elected to have surgery. I’m very pleased with the results. Dr. Horbach and the staff at the Urogyn office and Inova Hospital were excellent.

I had my first appointment with Dr. Horbach yesterday, having been referred by my OB/GYN. After waiting an hour to be seen, I was ready to be mad...but after the first 5 minutes with her, I was not disappointed! She is an excellent clinician, she explained the reason for my wait (patients with acute needs); she provided a very thorough and detailed approach to my medical complaint after taking a comprehensive history (options ranging from conservative ..think exercises...to surgery). She spent an hour with me …. I was very satisfied with the service and will return for follow up visits!

Doctor Horbach is the best. Very understanding and always trying to help with any condition. Front staff is also great!

I was pleased with Dr. Horbach in every way. My surgery required several repairs and all are still perfect 10 years later. I will go back to her if ever I have a new problem that needs to be addressed.

Dr. Horbach was so amazing with my 58 year old mother. Offered us great options and insight into my mothers diagnosis. She gave us great comfort in a very stressful situation...the fear of the unknown is always the worst! Organized a plan and spelled it out in civilian terms? She is the best!

I had a recent appointment with Dr. Horbach, which I was dreading, as I did not know what to expect. I have to say I was most impressed by her manner. She is not chatty. She is very focused on what she is doing, and gets on with the job. She caused me absolutely no pain when she carried out the three tests she had to do - I literally did not feel a thing, and I thanked her at the end of my visit for being so kind and gentle. Luckily the reason for my appointment had a happy ending.

I would highly recommend Dr. Horbach to any friend for pelvic/gyn surgery. I has surgery this winter for a cystocele and rectocele repair. My husband is a physician and I had been told by several ob/gyn's that she was the best reconstructive surgeon in the area. The surgery went perfectly and the recovery was much less painful that I had anticipated. I felt great within 10 days. Dr. Hobach explained the procedure thoroughly and was very helpful at each follow up visit. I am very grateful.

Have been a patient for over 20 years and she saved my life. I had been to so many doctors that I lost count about my illness but she took care of everything and my quality of life improved 100%. She really knows her field.

I was operated upon by Dr Horbach. I could not be more pleased with the results of the surgery. She is particularly skilled at explaining and diagraming the surgery planed. The Fairfax Innova Hospital Gyn Floor was exceptional. The nurses were well trained and attentive. We have sent several of our friends to Dr. Horbach and they were without exception pleased and thankful for our referral. My continuing care by Dr. Horbach and her physician's assistant Cindy Atkins has been great.

I met Dr Horbach last May. She reviewed all of the issues that I was dealing with and was very thorough in explaining all of the non-surgical options. Ultimately I decided to have surgery to repair several problems which was 7 weeks ago. I am very pleased with the results and wouldn't highly recommend her to friends and family.

Dr. Horbach has a poor bedside manner. She did not make eye contact during appointments and came across as impatient. I was rescheduled two of the three times I saw her and during my last visit, I wasn't seen until hour after my appointment time. She was unwilling to pursue different options to figure out my pain issues and said there was one doctor in the area who might help and she could not remember his name. She said she would have someone call with the name and never did.

What a wonderful Doctor. Extremely knowledgable and does an excellent job of explaining conditions and options. Very skillful surgeon. My wife is dry after 10 years of leaking with exercise. Top of her field. Highly recommend.

I love Dr. Horbach. I have had many uro/gyn issues. Dr. Horbach listens, tests, and thoroughly explains her recommendation as well as other options.
