I had an anterior abdominal lumbar disc replacement in November after a year & a half of 24-7 searing, shredding leg pain. I woke up from surgery with my leg pain gone. I was up walking that night and the next day without a walker. I’m back to work full time after a 3 month recovery. I can’t recommend Dr. Mehan enough, as this surgery was life changing for me. Forever grateful!

Dr. Mehan and his staff were attentive to my need for prompt scheduling, communication, and treatment for a painful complications following a fall. After exploring conservative alternatives I received surgery to correct my condition. Dr. Mehan was willing to listen to my concerns and explained his thoughts using words and test results and images to help me understand what could realistically be done. Since then, he has taken care of other family members, too. I am grateful for his expertise and his compassionate care.

Dr. Neal Mehan is the very best back Surgeon without any doubt at all . I went up to Columbus and was supposed to have one of the best surgeons in the state of Ohio after that surgery my legs hurt for over 5 years. That cage had fell over and I had a cyst on my spine. Dr. Neal Mehan went in and took out all their hardware and replaced it and took out some bone were the nerves were flat and damaged, other surgeon would not or will not go the extra mile to correct some of these problems but Dr. Mehan will. My legs has not hurt since 2018. After that surgery's To anyone with back surgery or need back surgery, Please, Dr. Mehan is on Woodman Drive. His staff is very much kind, friendly, courteous, and very much professional. After this last surgery within two months, l will be back on my Harley he is without a doubt the best around….

Dr. Mehan did back surgery on me a year ago. I have nothing but positive things to say about him and my surgery. I am able to live life without pain. I am so thankful that he was the Dr who took care of me.

Dr. Mehan is the best surgeon I have ever had. He explains what is happening to my body and what he can do to help me. He and his staff put me at ease when I visit the office. I leave knowing exactly what I need to do to help myself. I would recommend Dr. Mehan to anyone.

Dr Mehan took time to listen which is the most important part of medicine. He is ithorough and has your best interest at heart. His entire staff is absolutely amazing and show that they care just as much.

Dr. Neal Mehan, and his team at Miami Valley Hospital did an amazing job. The surgery was extremely successful, and I'm feeling so much better.Dr. Mehan's expertise and the care provided by his team made a significant difference. He advised a 6-week recovery period and provided painkillers, just in case they are needed. I'm happy to report that I'm already feeling quite good.

Love Dr. Mehan. He is a caring approachable physician who doesn't talk down to you and explains his thoughts well after listening closely. I appreciate that his first thoughts are not to jump to surgery, but to try to solve the "puzzle" first. I highly recommend this neurosurgeon. *I posted this a couple years ago. I saw him today at his new practice and every word above is still true. I love his thoughtfulness.

April of 2022 Dr. Megan did my back surgery. L2-L3 . Did a great job haven't felt this good in 30 plus years. On no medication for pain. Thank you Doctor Mehan.

Dr. Neal Mehan was excellent. When no other Doctor could diagnose where my pain was coming from, Dr. Mehan not only diagnosed my pain but did surgery and received me of all my sciatica pain and was walking the same day I don't know what I would have done without him when I was totally unable to walk

Dr. Mehan is a fantastic surgeon. He will give it to you straight. He will answer your questions and if he doesn't know the answer he will tell you. I would not consider having surgery done by anyone else.

Dr. Mehan is one of the best doctors I have. Dr. Mehan is always right on time and I rarely have to wait long at the visit. He explains things so well and truly listens to what I tell him. I am so sad he is leaving and wish him a great future. It is a great loss to Premier Health.

Dr Mehan is excellent! But his RN doesn't respond to my chart messages and his APRN wouldn't listen when I tried to explain on the phone today my symptoms are getting worse and only wanted to refer me to pain management when I told him multiple times I want nothing to do with pain meds, just an MRI because symptoms are worse than last week. His APRN said no

Waiting room was dirty. Receptionist are not very friendly. Person who checked me into the room was awesome and Dr Mehan is awesome. I was there early so waiting room dirt had to be from the day before

Best Doctor I ever went to

The receptionists and nurses are very pleasant and caring. Dr. Mehan is great, he is friendly, easy to talk to and showed me what was on my CT scan, explaining what I was looking at. I couldn't have asked for a better doctor.

Dr Mehan explains everything extremely well and thoroughly. He uses imaging and also models in his office as tools. He listens to my concerns and his treatment planning is comprehensive.

Dr. Mehan's one nurse is an absolute joy to be around. I am glad that Dr. Mehan was recommended to me to do my surgery. He showed me what was going to happen during surgery and let me see the images from the MRI and CT Scan.

Dr. Mehan was great. Talked to me and my wife so that we understood what was going on. This was the first visit with him.

Dr. Mehan is thorough in his explanation of my care. The reception staff is warm and helpful. His scheduler is helpful and personable as well. Not impressed with his medical assistant. She does not respond to My Chart messages for one thing.

This was my first appointment with this provider. I found him to be very kind, considerate, compassionate and knowledgeable.

I love Dr. Mehan's "bedside manner". I do wish he would review the chart and last visit notes/summary prior to coming into the room. I understand the number of patients must be daunting and don't expect him to remember our discussions from 2 months previous, but I t it can be awkward when the patient needs to remind the doctor of previous conversations. His surgical skill is amazing and I would highly recommend him to anyone suffering.

Excellent at what he does! I really appreciate the way he takes the time to talk with his patients and in a way that is so relaxed and natural.

My back has been in a lot of pain. I takes so long to get the test scheduled soon. I have to wait for openings. I want to get this part done ASAP so the doctor can do something about. He has never prescribed any pain medicine to help in the meantime. It seems he does not worry about my pain.

As a pain sufferer, I would have expected to have received an appointment within days, not months. I also would have expected the doctor to administer a remedy right away and not refer me to someone else.

The nurses were not really engaging.

I've had lower back pain most of my life. When it started leg problems, I was referred to Dr. Mehan by my PC doctor. Dr. Mehan took the time to explain my procedure well and answered any questions I had. His office staff is helpful and friendly. I couldn't ask for a better surgical experience.

Dr Mehan had me look at my MRI results as he explained what was going on in my cervical spine, used his models of the vertebrae and went over treatment options. He was very thorough, personal and professional.
