Dr. Nadia Akhmed

Dr Akhmad is knowledgeable and takes her time for every detail.

My wife and I have been going to Dr. Ahkmed since she was at a different practice in 2004. She went to her own concierge practice to be able to give us more time to be more thorough than a regular practice where you get 15 minutes or less (she routinely takes up to an hour with a patient). There is next to NO wait in this practice, and staff are knowledgeable and capable. Her depth of medical knowledge goes far beyond her internist specialty. As an example, my wife sees a pain management specialist who was prescribing a medication that was clashing with meds Dr. Ahkmed and other specialists were providing. Dr. Ahkmed suggested a different medication to him that caused him to jump and say “Why didn’t I think of that!” He changed it immediately and told us wonderingly, “she must be very academic”, which he clearly meant as a compliment. My wife’s been on that non-narcotic ever since.

Nadia Akhmed is not only a gifted caring doctor she shows her passion of practicing medicine through her honest dedication. I would not hesitate to recommend her to a family member or friend.

My career was working as a medical professional so when I met Dr. Akhmed I was pleased that she was not only a great physician but very flexible and confident with my input involving my health care . The office is complete...labs, EKG,etc which is very convenient. I also am comfortable that I can pick up the phone and contact Dr. Akhmed 24/7 is I had a problem or concern. I am very happy that my friends recommended Dr. Akhmed. Dr. Akhmed is an excellent GP and has vastly improved my health since I joined her practice. She exemplifies the benefits of Concierge Care Medicine, which provide personal attention, 24 hour coverage and a true knowledge of the patients under their care.

Dr. Akhmed was recommended to me by a neighbor of mine and going to see her was the best decision I ever made because she immediately took my health concerns seriously and with compassion. I loved her blunt manner of asking me, "why has no one been taking care of you?" when she heard the asthmatic rumble in my chest which I told her had been there for around five years. In spite of my going to her because of the weight I had put on due to my thyroid malfunction (Hashimoto) she informed me that we weren't doing anything about that until my chest had cleared up! I am happy to report that it has and now we are tackling the weight issue together. This is the way she and her entire office makes me feel, that we are all working together to find a solution. Nadia has been out family Dr for 20 years. She found my father’s prostate cancer and I’d now my Dr and my husbands as well. She is patient, caring and listens to everything. She pushes for preventative care and explores every complaint I have to make sure it’s nothing to worry about. Her staff is amazing, especially Fiona , and she has a lab onsite. I do not recommend Nadia as she was very insulting to me about my weight and actually called me fat . Every visit she makes degrading comments body shaming me . She doesn’t say it in a concern for my health but in a way to shame my appearance. I am very disgusted by how unprofessional she is about it .

She is the most vigilant and caring doctor I have ever been to. She always takes all the time needed to to really find out what is wrong with you. She is not just a great doctor she is a wonderful human being. I don't know what I would have done without her. There aren't many doctors like this anymore.

Dr. Akhmed has been my doctor, my husband’s doctor and my 90 year old father’s doctor for many years. She’s an excellent doctor and i strongly recommend her to anyone . She’s very thorough, thoughtful and passionate about caring for her patients. She’s always offered recommendations for dealing with my weight issues and never, ever criticized me for tipping the scale higher than it should be. She takes as much time as needed with her patients and will follow-up with a phone call to make sure you’re ok. A couple of years ago she had issues with people working the front desk. I have been with Dr. Ahmed for 20 years. My previous doctor highly recommended my mother and I to go when she had retired and we went to her and have never been disappointed. She was spot on with my mother on her diagnosis prior to Hospice care as she has been with all her ( and mine medical advice). She’s been my rock, and sounding board through the years. The professional and compassionate approach of her medical advice has always been done with the wisest concentrated and educated effort for the individual. She also became my adult daughters doctor who moved here as a single mother. So she has covered 3 generations in my family- professionally. During the 9 months of caring for my dying husband through the Pandemic she called several times just to see how I was doing. I can’t imagine not being under Dr. Ahkmeds care. Best Doctor I ever had! She thoroughly listened to me, guided me toward personal responsibility for my own health care and sought additional opinions from colleagues when necessary. Dr. Akhmed would refer me to a specialists when needed, like a cardiologist. I was a patient of Dr. AKhmed for 12+ years. I was never rushed during my visit, and felt if I ever had to wait in the office, Dr. Akhmed was giving another patient time and her energy to someone who needed it. I highly recommend this physician.

Very happy with my experience with Dr. Akhmed. Listens. Great advice. Best internist I have found in the area.

Overall, I found Dr. Akhmed's demeanor to be very cold, which would be fine if her diagnoses were thorough and correct. Instead, I felt dismissed repeatedly for a string of symptoms that ended in a diagnosis of MS soon after I switched to a new doctor. My new doc asked me after flipping through my records at my first visit if anyone had ever talked to me about MS. The answer was "no." Too bad I couldn't start treatment earlier. WARNING! I went to Dr. Ahmed for about 3-4 years. Dr. Ahmed is not that bad, but the staff at the front desk is terrible. It is obvious that all they care about is getting you in for office visits. Refill requests were denied due to not being seen within the past few months. They cancelled almost every appointment that was made by automated voicemails, which made scheduling a nightmare. Excellent doctor. Thorough and caring.

I have been a patient of Dr. Akhmed for three years now. She has helped me to follow through with tests that I needed to do and got me back on track for taking care of myself. She has great referrals and she is thorough and caring as a doctor. I am so glad I found her! The office staff is supportive and helpful.

I am an RN and Dr. Akhmed was the name my colleagues recommended for an internist. I have been very pleased with her care, her willingness to understand my concerns and conservative approach. I would recommend her to others looking for an excellent doctor.

Awful from receptionist to the doctor herself waited over and hour multiple times went and asked how much longer and was ansered With a nonchalant I have no idea how much longer it will be there a doctor and they are very busy I’m a patient of my time is valuable I understand people run late and have emergencies but at least have the common courtesy to keep the patient up-to-date and then I’ll treat me like an idiot for asking how much longer rude doctor doesn’t like giving physicals either ???

I know she is a doctor but she makes me feel like I am the most important patient she has after years of no diagnoses and doctors thinking I was just crazy she just kept looking until she found the problem she listens to everything she treats my entire family the same way
