Dr Balkin is super knowledgeable, thoughtful and always takes the time to make sure I’ve got everything I need. I never feel rushed or judged by her and I appreciate her calm and friendly demeanor. She is very timely in responding to messages or filling prescriptions when I need them which puts my mind at ease!

Dr Balkin doesn't listen and doesn't do anything except if you get another doctor involved and it is a power trip with the other doctor. I've never met someone so self centered under the guise of caring. She refuses to get prior authorizations for things which ended up costing me thousands out of pocket.

Appointment was efficient and Dr. Balkin was excellent listening to my concerns and helping and guiding my next steps. I would certainly recommend her!

Dr Balkin was very attentive and listened to my concerns. She was kind, genuinely caring, and offered realistic options for follow-up care. Her staff was pleasant and courteous as well. I would highly recommend her as a primary care provider.

I had a new patient visit with Dr Balkin recently. I had several concerns to review with her going into the appointment, and we were able to get to everything without feeling rushed. In the past, I’ve had trouble with doctors who have acted biased/sexist or arrogant/dismissive, and it was important to me to find a new doctor who was feminist, lgbtq friendly, and that I trusted and felt comfortable with. Dr. Balkin fit the bill—she was a great listener and calming presence during our appointment.

Refused to refer me for procedures, screenings, and to specialists I needed to see due to my disease, and brushed my symptoms off as anxiety and allergies when it was actually a serious condition related to my disease. Wouldn’t even acknowledge that I do in fact I have the disease I was diagnosed with and brushed of my family history of this disease and related diseases. She put me in danger, and should no longer be allowed to practice.

I was seen by the doctor timely. I was treated in a professional manner. My particular health care needs were discussed in a pleasant and non judgmental manner and then addressed. Great job!

Dr.Balkin listens and is respectful. She is kind. Unlike almost every other doctor I've seen she never makes me feel bad or guilty. I'm so grateful to have found her. I've gone to her for annual physicals, as well as, more specific concerns.

Dr. Balkin is an excellent listener who exudes reassuring confidence in her practice while at same time remaining sympathetic and open to her patients’ take on things which may sometimes differ from her own.

A breath of fresh air, comfort, and professionalism. I came to assume that physicians/medical practioners no longer had the proper time to give patients. I have not had such a positive experience with a physician since I was a child. I felt Dr. Balkin met me with genuine and professional concern and covered medical conditions, both present and past, with sincere thoroughness and direct medical inquiry. I felt extremely comfortable to share and cover all facets of my health- both physical and mental- and was met without judgment or intrusion. I am grateful to have Dr. Balkin as my primary care physician and will be looking forward to moving through my future stages of health and life with her and her practice.

I'm very upset that she refused to refer me to do a thyroid ultrasound screening. My mother and brother both had thyroid cancer, and Dr. Balkin maintained that this was not a reason to do screenings because the research didn't support genetic links. Whatever the research says shouldn't matter as much as common sense. Now, a year later, I switched to different doctor who did do the ultrasounds and it's showing nodules that I need to test for cancer.
