Find another doctor. I was referred to him by my son’s pediatrician just for him to deny my son care. All because he had a concussion from football 2 years ago! Now I have NO idea what that has to do with being evaluated for ADHD, but to me it sounds like he didn’t want anymore new patients. And if that’s the case, then retire! It’s poor medical practice to deny a patient treatment when they were specifically REFERRED to them for a reason. He also needs to hire someone else to take on the phones, cause the lady I spoke with gave the wrong information to the provider. Find another doctor. On his website is a picture of him but when meeting him at his home/office on the water, absolutely beautiful, but the man on the website is not the man in person, it had to be a 10 year old picture of him. At first I thought I had the wrong doctor, I thought for a second maybe there were 2 doctors in his practice. I called him to set up our appointmet, & his 1st question was 'Who would be paying the cost of our visit s to him' which was court appointed. I stated the other party, but I saw that we needed to set the appointment up by this date which was now. He stated again 'I must speak to the person paying before scheduling anything' . I was OK until the 1st email I received from the doctor, my spouse was called by his first name about 6 times in the email, I was called by my last name. Also in the email the Dr. Gombatz refers to the nice and length conversation they had when setting up payment & how the doctor felt sorry for his situation & would help him. Gombatz has a certificate in his office for being an expert or something like that in Addiction & Addiction Medications & Treatments. When I told him the medications I take, one I take for addiction, he right away openly judges me for taking this Medication to stop my addiction to other things, he placed a prejudice against me within a few moments of meeting him. I thought in my head that this man knows nothing about addiction, especially not a thing for him to have earned certification on it. He actually falsely accused me of something that he didn't even know anything about me yet, just that I take this one Medication. Let's just say he made his mind up before hearing any facts or opinions of others. His report was filled with errors & he left out a whole lot of information that was pertinent. Let's just say that at the court proceedings the Doctor saw what an erroneous error he made & offered to help, in my head I wanted to say, that he helped enough. He needs to realize how this has affected my children greatly that they are showing signs of severe problems. He made the choice to give a flawed evaluation that lead to their problem s & he was paid well, will he work to fix these problems he created pro Bono?
