I have been a patient of Dr. Michael Elia for many years. This Doctor is one in a million! Trust me... he has performed surgery on my knee and I am seeing him now for my other knee. Professional, kind, thorough and attentive are the best words to describe him! He truly loves what he chose as his life’s work... and his results prove it! I have seen Dr. Elia numerous times in the last 25 years. I had knee issues from a ski accident, 25 years ago. Rather than operate, he recommended physical therapy. 25 years later, I still ski. Dr Elia operated on my left shoulder 22 years ago and my right shoulder 12 years ago. Both shoulders are in good shape and I play golf and tennis without any difficulties. Dr Elia has a very nice and approachable bedside manner and I would absolutely use him when and if I ever need his expertise again. I highly recommend him.

Dr, Elia operated on me three times with excellent results, Both knee replacement and shoulder surgery allowed me to resume a life with normal activity pain free. I am very grateful,

January 3, 2021 I was referred to Dr. Elia in 2003 for a right roto cuff repair. To date there has never been an issue with this surgery. My shoulder range is perfect. In February 2020 I needed a left roto cuff repair also performed by Dr Elia. Once again I have full range of this shoulder. Dr. Elia is one of the most accomplished surgeons in his field. He not only gives you his full expertise but goes to great lengths to make his patient feel comfortable with the course of treatment, If surgery is involved he follows up with a personal phone call to check on the status of the patient following the surgery. He is a very accomplished and compassionate Doctor. I highly recommend Dr. Elia to anyone who is in need of an Orthopaedic Specialist without hestitation.

Dr Elia is the BEST orthopedic Doctor you could have. I have an issue with my shoulder and his time professional explanations and expertise is second to no one. Need a great Ortho? Make sure it’s Dr Micheal Elia.

Dr Elia did my surgery on both my hands,I had carpal tunnel,My hands where always tingling.after the surgery i felt great,He is very professional and explains what he will do and makes sure that you understand whats going on,I highly recommend him.

I've known Dr. Elia for years and I would not have had my knee arthroscopy surgery with anyone else. The surgery itself was less than an hour and I had no pain postoperatively. I didn't require pain medication after the surgery and was able to walk the same day. It's been over a week and still no pain. I should have done it sooner and would not trust my care to anyone else.

Competent, understanding and straight forward .. these are the traits that are important to me when it comes to My search for a medical professional and Dr. Elia. has them all. I was born with a physical disability and have required some creative thinking when it comes to what’s right for me and it’s A relief to find Doctor Who takes conservative yet extremely affective measures first and foremost in his practice. He will do anything he can to help you avoid surgery. When he does perform surgery, his approach is quick and most importantly extremely successful. All of these positive qualities held true when Dr. Elia performed a surgery on my foot to remove a mass I couldn’t feel due to my paralysis I was born with. Because of his meticulous measures. Dr. Elia. is an asset to the medical field.

Excellent Always On Time

Dr Elia has helped myself and my family immensely throughout the years. I greatly appreciate his conservative approach to medicine but if surgery is a must, I don’t want to be in anyone else’s hands unless directed to do so by him personally.

If I had one word to describe Dr. Elia it would be GREAT. I broke my angel and ended up in Bronxville Hospital under his care. If you want a doctor to tell it like it is with no BS he is your doctor. I had a ton of questions [ even though his bedside manners are not the best] he was able and willing to take the time to answer all of them. His private office staff were the best I have seen. If you want a doc to hold your hand stay away from Dr. Elia. But if you want a Great Doctor his the one

I had significant knee pain and Dr Elia treated me quickly and professionally. The surgical scope procedure on my knee could not have gone more smoothly and my pain relief was almost immediate. I did not have any discomfort after the first 24 hours following the procedure. The Staff at White Plains Hospital were courteous , efficient and thorough. Overall wonderful experience.

I have never given an online review before, but my recent experience with Dr. Elia has warranted a first. I was referred by White Plains hospital, so I trusted it would be a good experience, but it was not. The quality of care was sub par and Dr Elia seemed disinterested in the 4 minutes he allotted for the visit. The office staff was cordial, but you could arrange an audience with the Pope faster than getting an appointment. I was sent for tests with an incorrect prescription. Just awful

We were referred to Dr Elia via the urgent care when my son broke his leg. The break was uneventful and healed quickly. It was when we followed up to investigate issues with the ankle that we realized how overscheduled that office is, which results in distracted visit with Dr Elia and chaos at the front desk. My son was misdiagnosed and told to take 2 advil and ice...when we switched orthopedists it was discovered that he has an extra bone impinging his ankle. Take heed.

Arthroscopy with menisectomy. Was in, out, and on with my life in about 30 minutes of surgery; no swelling, minimal pain, and was back to walking the next day. Thanks Mike.

I am ready to have my attorney complain about Dr. Elia's office staff - they have been awful - e.g., call back later at after 3:30 p.m. - which I did - only to find the office closed - went to their after hours phone messaging group who obviously only want to take emergency calls. All I need is a new P.T. prescription - and was told I could have an appt. in three weeks - ridiculous! I waited two weeks for my first appt with him end of January, did the MR! he wanted me to have, saw him in Feb!

I hope this review is helpful. While technically competent and obviously accomplished, Dr. Elia has nothing in the way of bedside manner. My surgery was not successful and I actually have more pain now than before the surgery. I have found him to be dismissive, unsympathetic and not willing to spend a lot of time with me, post surgery. He turned it over to his office staff to answer my questions when I had them. On the whole a very unsatisfying and disappointing experience.

My daughter overused her knee by doing a lot of running and standing on her feet all day. We went in to see him hoping to get an advice on proper ways to help alleviate the pain. Instead, she got an x-ray & nothing showed up.Then he wanted her to get an MRI done.When I asked for advice,he refused to give any until he sees an MRI result.I had to take my daughter to another Ortho & got great advice without an MRI.She soon recovered.Had I listened to him, we would've wasted time and lots of money!

Dr. Elia gave my mom a hip replacement in October of 2015. He has changed her life in so many ways. She has regained her life, she can walk properly, she has no pain and has now returned to work. Dr. Elia has followed up with all appointments with such care and attention. I would recommend Dr. Elia wholeheartedly. His care has been lifesaving!

Very helpful, very accurate diagnosises, excellent repoire with this doctor, friendly, helpful office staff too

He gave me a new hip and my recovery is better than any of my golf buddies who I talk to. Maybe it is me and my good health, but I think this doc is a gem and the people who work for him are the nicest. I tell everyone to just watch how I get around He gets a 100% in my book

I recently sprained my left ankle and I must say as always I was welcomed with such great service from both Dr. Elia and his staff. Dr. Elia put my mind at ease. I would highly recommend if you need any orthopedic needs that you stop in and see the good doctor and his wonderful staff.

I was not listened to. I have problems with my hip, knee, lower back, and shoulders. I was told to pick one based on what hurt. Unfortunately I picked my knee because it hurt the most. This is the only part of me that was examined and the only part referred for an MRI. Had I known I would only receive one referral I would have chosen my lower back or shoulders. Very time was spent examining or speaking with me he I think he easily could have looked at my back, shoulder or hip as well.
