Melissa is an awesome photographer! I got a mini fall session with her for family photos. When I received the pictures I was so happy with them. I promise if you hire her for photos you will be happy as well.

My daughter had the most amazing experience. We started her day off with makeup and hair being done by one of Melissa's industry colleagues and we spent the afternoon making memories. Melissa provided nothing short of an amazing experience for my daughter! (As a matter of fact, this is my second daughter to enjoy photo sessions with Melissa, as well as participate in her awesome senior program!) Every step leading up to the session (hair, make-up, choosing outfits, location, etc.) were very organized. Melissa set up a perfect photo shoot for my 13 year old. From the hair and makeup, to the setting, it was all age appropriate and fun! She is able to connect with her clients in such way that she captures their personality in every shot. The photographs are beautiful and the experience was memorable for my daughter.

This past weekend I took my niece and daughter for the middle school genuine sisters shoot. My niece has never done a professional shoot and was nervous and unsure but Melissa had this girl laughing and flaunting her best self. It was seriously so heartwarming to watch unfold. My daughter was living her best life. She loves the camera and Melissa fed that confidence and had her laughing and twirling and allowed her to open up and let that personality shine. My daughter has the good fortune of participating in Melissa's Genuine Sisters program which includes classes on various topics important to empowering and informing young girls and includes a photo session with Melissa-such a wonderful experience for these girls to get the opportunity to be professionally photographed by Melissa. Not only did Melissa capture the sweet beauty of my our daughter during her middle school years, but she was easy to work with, made her feel comfortable and laugh throughout the session. Melissa took my oldest daughter's senior photos back in 2017. It was a wonderful experience, so when it came time for my younger daughter to have her photos made this year, I knew Melissa would be our choice. Both sessions were totally different (one on a farm, one in the city), but equally as special. The professional hair and makeup for both girls was beautifully done and lasted throughout the session. My past year on the 2019 Senior Role Model team has been such a great experience! I knew I wanted Melissa to take my daughter’s senior pictures for years and she did not disappoint. Melissa has such an eye from where to take the pictures to getting the perfect pose. She made it so much fun and made Madison feel comfortable in front of the camera. Her pictures turned out better than I could imagine. We signed up with Melissa to do my daughter's senior photos. We had looked at her work online and it looked nice and we decided to move forward even though the price was "pricey". I wish I could say it was a good experience but it wasn't. My daughter showed up for the photo shoot and she didn't seem to get along very well with the makeup artist so she was unhappy with that and it showed in the photos. The photos that were taken were "ok" not $1000+ blow me away like I was hoping. We reviewed the photos and honestly were not happy with them and delayed moving forward with purchasing any prints. We ultimately got an email from Melissa threatening legal action by her attorney if we did not move forward with spending $1000 on her photos as it says in the contract that you sign. So we order a canvas photo and received it and it looks "ok". So, we spent $1250 and got a canvas senior photo that I could have probably shot with my phone and had printed at Office depot for $50. So, needless to say I would not recommend Melissa Hunt Photography to a friend. We signed up with Melissa to do my daughter's senior photos. Melissa has an infectious smile, a knack for showing you through her images, and incredible talent as a photographer!
