Dr Lanoff has treated me for various back related issues. I have the utmost confidence in his ability to evaluate and treat my back issues. He always takes the time to explain his findings. He is very easy to talk to and never rushes to an appointment. I highly recommended Dr Lanoff!

When was the last time a Dr looked at you and spoke to you without typing on his computer? Dr Lanoff gives his patients his full attention. He has helped me with several issues over the years— always with good advice, genuine interest in my well being and with empathy. He’s very knowledgeable and anxious to help alleviate the pain and the underlying problems. He’s very good at explaining the issue and how we might proceed to fix/heal it. The staff is cordial and helpful and most accommodating. I strongly advise anyone with a pain, strain, injury, etc to see Dr Lanoff before committing to any surgery. If indeed that’s necessary then he’s very forthright in telling you but he’s most anxious to find a solution first if at all possible. He’s a great, caring physician! Dr Lanoff listens and looks at you At your consult he is not talking to a computer! His attention is fully with you. He has helped me numerous times over the years with various issues. He’s very knowledgeable and takes time to explain the issues and the care plan. He is smart and competent and empathetic. His support staff is equally helpful and very accommodating. I have total confidence in his abilities to provide me with the best medical care possible for my problems Without reservation I highly recommended him. He’s terrific!

I went to Dr. Lanoff with hip , back and leg pain. At first he wasn’t sure but diagnosed me with piriformis syndrome- a pulled muscle in the pelvic area. He prescribed Physical Therapy.. After many weeks of Physical Therapy which I had to pay for out of pocket,, it improved only slightly, so I went back to see him again. Instead of considering the possibility that he could have been wrong, he insinuated that I was not trying hard enough and that I should have progressed more and he prescribed more physical therapy. He belittled and humiliated me, making me feel like I was a failure. He was arrogant and condescending.I left in tears. So I kept going for more Physical Therapy, until I could barely walk. I finally went to another doctor, who immediately ordered an MRI, and it turned out to be a herniated disk and misplaced vertebrae in my spine, pinching nerves and causing the excruciating pain. This provider has no bedside manner. The staff is extremely incompetent. The provider uses inappropriate language.

Dr. Lanoff is very personable and very intelligent. He knew exactly what to do in my situation and was able to get me a referral out of state. He’s my go to back guy in the chicago area. Highly recommended 5/5

I wish I could give him zero but there is no option for that. I was sent to him for workers comp case evaluation for the shoulder pain. I was in so much pain that he wasn't able to do proper exam and he even himself kept saying "I can't do proper exam because your in so much pain" even than he sent his report to WC saying there was nothing wrong with me. How can you make the diagnosis without doing the examination. I don't like him sending false report to WC and being ignorant about it. I wish I could give him zero but there is no option for that. I was referred to Dr. Lanoff by two Doctors. He never came into the office, only his aid who said, they were sorry for wasting for my time, but there was nothing the Dr. could do for me after reviewing my MRI and Cat Scan and they will not be charging me for my appointment. I was so confused and ask to speak with the Dr. and said I would pay for the appt and the nurse said we are not charging you, it is not an option to pay, so he is not treating you and will be unable to give you his opinion of what he saw on MRI and Scan. I asked again and same response and she said she was busy, couldnot help and just left me in the room. I have never ever been treated like that in a Dr. office. I am so confused and baffled. Needless to say they did charge my account twice for two copays but did say they are reversing the charges. I was referred to Dr. Lanoff by two Doctors. Small satellite office in a strip mall next to fast food that’s difficult to find. The staff should provide specific instructions on how to locate. They do not answer the phone to help find their location, “phone service isn’t transferred until 8:30” even though my appointment was at 8:00. I traveled 45 minutes and was told they wouldn’t see me. And yes, the first thing I said was how sorry I was for being late and the reason why….Not going back. His staff needs a lesson in compassion, I deserved to be spoken to thoughtfully at the very least. Disappointed that I can’t rate “zero” stars. I appreciated his bedside manner. He was honest, thorough in his evaluation and explained everything. I felt in excellent hands and I would recommend Dr. Lanoff.

While Dr Lanoff was arrogant i.e. extremely confident and competent and very colorful in language he has every right to be. He is the go to guy when other doctors haven't a clue. He fixed me, constant pain in my foot like plantar issues and it was my hip. Every doctor was treating my foot. Dr Lanoff suggested the kinetic chain and physical therapy to stretch my hip freaking worked. Dr Lanoff was not in any way disrespectful. As an aerobics instructure he has helped me understand the balance I need to keep in my body as I age. Dr Lanoff I cannot thank you enough for the relief of pain in my hip.After 4 months of hardly being to walk, one visit and I feel just great. I cannot believe the difference. Thank You again, and God Bless You

Skilled, personable and professional.

Outstanding physician. Very good bedside manner and, more importantly, he provided me with a very good consultation and recommended the best followup physical therapy and possible surgical options. His spinal facet injection went perfectly. Since he doesn't do spinal surgery, his recommendations are not biased in favor of surgery.

My Dad was in need of spinal surgery to correct 2 cycts on his spine that gave him great pain, but he couldn't get in to see the surgeon before his move to FL. Dad had a spinal injection 2 weeks earlier while in FL visiting, that didn't alleviate much pain. Dr. Lanoff was recommended & after receiving a shot that was done in a different manner, the pain began to go away and it hasn't returned. It's been 1&1/2 yrs now. I recently saw Dr. Lanoff for spinal stenosis caused by a bulging disk. He listened well, offered different options (Naturally, I wanted to try a shot like my Dad), and I was a good candidate for a shot & chose that. I know it doesn't work for everyone, but I'm already feeling some relief. I recommend that you try Dr. Lanoff. He is one of those people that is so good at what he does that you can finally relax & know that you are in expert care. My Dad says that if the pain ever returned he would take a flight to Chicago just to see this doctor!

I wish I could give him zero stars. Worst experience I have ever had with a doctor. Tries to act more like a psychiatrist than a physiatrist. Extremely unprofessional. From the minute I walked in the door he was calling other doctors f****** idiots and swearing throughout our entire appointment. Makes you feel extremely uncomfortable and does not listen to you. I saw Dr. Lanoff for an independent medical exam with worker's comp. He was very cordial and professional throughout the exam and helped find a source for the pain in my shoulder.

After almost two years of back pain, and seeing many doctors, I came to Dr. Landoff's office, to finally get a diagnosis as to my pain. Now I can finally get the right treatment. Thank you Dr. Landoff and staff. Very thorough exam, took time with me and was very kind. Great Dr.

I had a sprained shoulder/pectoral muscle. He was great in diagnostics as it was a very unusual place for a strain. He gave me a couple of recommendations for treatment. We went with the most conservative first, a shot to the area and I was to follow up with him. The pain returned 3 months later and I was referred to physical therapy. He chose a practice that was close to me and would attend all my needs as he saw fit. The physical therapist said that when Dr. Lanoff makes a referral he has very high standards and they work hard to provide the utmost care. He is a very good patient advocate. Dr. Lanoff is a wonderful doctor. He is friendly, listens to you, explains everything, and is an expert in his field. I am so grateful that my surgeon sent me to him.

I came to Dr Lanoff with my reports from my Dr. who referred me to him. I had a MRI done of my LUMBAR and of my HIP. So, so we needed to go over how to handle what kind of treatment plan that was needed for me.When Dr. came in, I was very comfortable from the very beginning. He examined my hip, thigh, leg, and came up with a plan for me. I drive over 80 miles 1 way to see Dr, and I will do it again. He is a AWSOME Dr. I was so worried wondering what I had. This hack is a hired gun for any employer that needs a doctor to give a subjective report to build a bogus case against a legitimately injured worker. I have never been in a doctor's office where everyone was so friendly. I went to see Dr. Lanoff for pain management and it worked beautifully. Before seeing him, I was on a walker because my back and my right leg were so painful when I tried to walk. He gave me one injection that involved a slight pin prick. Love Dr. Lanoff & assistant Kim! Have great amount of trust w/ them. Very good at reading patients’ needs w/ a wonderful bedside manner. They do a fantastic job of dealing w/ my A type of personality, Making me feel like they care. I need facts & what needs to be done. Was misdiagnosed close to 20 yrs. Feeling crazy, many doctors told me nothing was wrong. He listened & sent me to another doctor. Finally! Real diagnosis after decades of pure pain. Could never thank him enough, highly recommend!!

Dr. Lanoff and his assistant, Kim are both personable and professional. Dr. Lanoff takes a conservative approach to treatment and solicits the input of a patient. I felt I was listened to and my needs and lifestyle were considered. I have seen him over a period of 25 years. Twice I have had a cortisone shot, once physical therapy and once was referred to an orthopaedic surgeon. I did not have surgery. He followed up with me after physical therapy and the orthopaedic appt. Very thorough.

Dr. Lanoff is the best. Very good at reading the patient needs, wonderful bedside manner and I had a feeling of trust from the first visit which continues to be reinforced each time I see him. Just received my first epidural injection and it was completely pain free which was not my experience with the previous 2 I'd gotten from another doctor. The only negative thing I can say is the online appointment scheduling is terrible so phone in for an appointment.

I love Dr. Lanoff. I was misdiagnosed for most of my life. He listened to me and told me to see another doctor. Finally, have a real diagnosis after a couple decades of pure pain. I highly recommend!!

I was late, they asked me to be there 15 minutes early for paperwork. The staff greeted me warmly, gave me the paperwork I and explained what i needed to fill out. Rather them having me fill out the paperwork before my appoinment, a Nurse brought me to the room amd allowed me to complete the paperwork until the Dr. Arrived to see me. Dr. Lanoff was very through abd explained what each test and what he expected. He definityely looked out for my best interest! He is very personable!
