Dr Ancona has been my Dr for over 5 years now and I know he has the best interest for not only my mental health but my health overall. I can say he is a blessing in my life he has helped me to stabilize my anxiety, depression, PTSD and I couldn't be happier with his form of care. He truly listens and makes me feel cared for. I have been a patient of his for years. He is very patient and knowledgeable. He is very caring and truly cares for his patients. He researches the latest medication and he is very responsive to when a patient needs his help. His office assistant Rafeal has worked for him for years and they both work towards the health of the patients. I was blessed to find Dr. Acona.

Dr. Ancona is hands down the best!! He truly cares and takes his time to answer any questions. I highly recommend him. He has truly helped my family. I have recommended him to others who have said that he has helped them also.

The office is immaculate and beautiful inside and the staff is so well-trained, and this is just the beginning. Dr. Ancona is truly the most caring, thorough and informed individual I have ever met. It is very obvious that he really prides himself in doing a great job and knowing the research. Not only that, he always tells me that I am on the expert on myself and if I feel he isn't helping me to let me know....what a great attitude. He explains all the treatment options clearly and also explains the pros and cons of each choice....and then we work together to pick the route we will go. I have struggled for year with my mood and Dr. Ancona is the first provider to really help me. I have been a patient of Dr. Ancona for about 5 months he is amazing. I wish I could have found him sooner he has changed my life for the better. Office staff is very friendly and helpful and welcoming.

DR. Ancona is the best. I have struggled my entire life with mental health issues and have had extremely bad issues for the last 11 years. Dr. Ancona is able to explain exactly what is going on in your brain and what is the best way to go about fixing the issues. After 4 months of seeing Dr. Ancona, my life has done a complete 180 and I am healthier and happier than I have been in more than 11 years and maybe my life. I fly in from Denver, Colorado to see Dr. Ancona. I have several friends in the Colorado area who do the same. Why? Dr. Ancona is the best psychiatrists I have ever been to, and I have been to a ton. The reason why is he really, really tries. It isn't uncommon for Dr. Ancona to look things up in texts if he isn't sure about something --- very different from others who just say whatever. Not only this, he actually tries to get to the core of the issue by spending a long time with his patients and, not only asking questions, but remembering the answers. His office is the nicest I have seen. Truly a magnificent Psychiatrist. Dr. Ancona is by far the best Psychiatrist that I have ever seen. He truly listens, but not only does he listen, unlike many professionals that I've seen before, he actually explains things and helps talk people through what they are experiencing. I've always had the kinds of Psychiatrists that just say, "Uh huh", nod take your money and give you pills. Dr. Ancona is so much better than that. Erica is one of the meanest individuals I’ve ever had the displeasure of coming into contact with, I don’t even think she works with dr. Ancona but she has a horrible attitude. Dealing w mental patients is hard, but if you’re not willing to keep your temper to your self around individuals that are obviously scared and asking for help, then? You can't ever get you medicine, you're lucky if you even get the doctor when your supposed to because there's a new emergency every month and now they are discharging people because they have too many patients to deal with and using the excuse to discharge people that all they doing is coming for narcotics. I am grateful to have found Dr. Ancona. I moved to New Mexico from a larger metropolitan area and was uneasy about establishing care with a new doctor for ongoing psychiatric treatment. Dr. Ancona’s evaluation was thorough, focused, and caring. His comprehensive knowledge of pharmacology helped to improve the efficacy of my drug treatment, and his advanced training in current practices of cognitive behavioral therapy has been very beneficial. Dr. Ancona’s evaluation was thorough, focused, and caring. Dr Ancona is an exceptional Doctor he is empathetic and truly cares about his patients. One of the best!!

I feel safe l, and my mental health is at bay because of this doctor, he listens to my needs and does his best to help professionally, it’s been a journey getting help but I finally found a doctor that can recognize my schemas and knows how to treat people w my condition.

Dr. Ancona has been my Dr.'s for over 4 years and I have never found a better Dr in all of the cities in Texas that I have lived. He takes his time to truly listen and is exceptionally patient in explaining what you may be experiencing/feeling. I recommend Dr. Ancona over any Dr. in El Paso County and surrounding cities/counties. Appointment wait times can be long, but he is worth it!

Excellent. Dr. Ancona has been my mental healthcare provider for over 5 years. He has taught me effective methods on how to deal with my PTSD and other trauma issues I’ve carried out through my life. "As the head of a medical school department, I am very discerning when it comes from whom I seek care. I can confidetnly say Dr Ancona is the all around most competent and compassionate doctor in the area. Unlike other psychiatrists who spend 10 minutes with you, Dr Ancona takes the time to ask you questions and then asks questions to make sure he is following you. It is evident that he knows the research and doesn't just talk randomly. We are very lucky to have a doctor like this in the area.

Dr. Ancona was extremely professional and treated my daughter and I for Bi Polar and Severe Anxiety. I would recommend him to anymore who needs a Doctor who cares and has an extreme passion for helping his patients. We are a military family and moved to Ft Bliss which is in El Paso, TX and after the first initial visit with him I left my appointment feeling very good with the quality care and concern he had for not only myself but his patients. He is a great Doctor.

Dr. Ancona communicates hope and optimism and is truly an ethical and effective mental health professional. He guided me to mobilize my strengths and resources to solve my own problems. He closely monitored me, ensured I was making adequate progress and was fast in achieving effective therapeutic treatment. As a result, I have acquired new and positive expectations that have enabled me to understand my condition, improve my quality of life and mental health. I achieved more than what I expected.

Mental Healthcare is a highly underserved area of medicine. It is difficult to find a decent provider who can gain and keep the trust of the patient. I have been a patient of Dr. Ancona for the past year or more. He is attentive and caring, as well as very knowledgeable about mental health testing and treatment. I have been seen by Psychiatrists for 10+ years in 3 states due to my dx which I was born with. Dr. Ancona is THE BEST doctor I have ever had. He really takes his time and listens to everything you say, even if he has other patients waiting. And if there is an emergency he gets you in THAT day. We just moved to Texas and couldn't be happier with the level of care received by Dr. Ancona and his staff!! Would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone!!!

Fantastic Dr. No complains at all. As far as appointments go, it's horrible! Their appointments overlap into the next appointment,and arriving on time means nothing anymore. So disappointed.
