I think Dr DeBruin is an excellent physician. His staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Dr DeBruin.

Office staff was great. Dr. Debruin has worse bedside manner than military doctors. Was rushed through the appointment and didn’t want to hear about anything. Won’t be going back

Very insensitive with no bed side manner what so ever. I have lupus and he took me off all my medication and told me to diet. He could have killed me. He has charged me $500 each office visit and makes me come in once a month for 5 minutes each appointment. Not once has he took my blood pressure, temperature or even looked me over. Did not want a copy of my medical history which makes no sense to me. This place needs to be looked in to. Very cold and misogynistic with no empathy for anyone. Will not let you speak and will talk over you. When he is done talking he will walk out whether you have questions or not. I cannot believe this place. The worst doctor I have ever been too. Arrogant, zero bedside manner, and he does not listen to what you tell him. It is evident he does not care. If you want a great doctor who is very professional, caring, and cuts to the chase to get the job done right, then Dr DeBruin is your guy! I love his can-do, no-nonsense, and get-er-done style.

Dr. Debruin has been a great physician (and ultimately has become a great friend) to many of our employees over some 17 years. His style is fast-paced with a "do it now" attitude, which not everyone understands or appreciates. However, those who have had him as their family Dr. for many, many years know that Dr. Debruin's knowledge and experience is extensive, and that his patient's health and well-being is his #1 priority. Also be aware that he does not sugarcoat. If he feels strongly about something relative to your health, he will say it. Not everyone appreciates his brutal honesty, but for many years now we we have come to realize that his professional medical guidance has been spot on. He has only the best interests of his patients in mind. We will continue to refer our many employees to Dr. Debruin if they are without a physician because of the many years of excellent care that we've received from this man. Awful - have an issue with my ankle and knee. Dr. DeBruin never even looked at my ankle nor my knee. Simply sent me for xrays and told me to do some squats (exercise). Waiting for another week to obtain findings from xrays and possible physical therapy. I requested a referral to my orthopedic surgeon who did my knee replacement surgery...which was denied. Unbelievable!!! He is only after the almighty dollar and not the needs of his patients. Very sad state of affairs. Do not waste your time seeing him.

My husband is a new patient at this place and it has been crazy trying to get this office to send him to a specialist. He has been getting the run around between this office and the specialist office as to how his situation is urgent or not. He has been dealing with a severe ear ache for a long time now, which has caused him several symptoms including dizziness. My husband climbs trees and clearing trees from power lines!!! So, my husbands job is dangerous as it is and adding equilibrium issues, let's say in lame terms "NOT GOOD AT ALL"! I am seriously ranting inside with all the run around he has been receiving from this office and the referral sent to a specialist. He has been trying to call himself, and trying to climb trees at the same time while under the condition he is in!! He needs to be seen right away, but since this office failed to tell the specialist this is urgent and other failures on this offices part, my husband isn't any closer to being seen!! WIFE NOT HAPPY!!

It's great that the staff doesn't care what anyone thinks, because 6 out of 11 gave them one star and they get worse and worse every year. Hey at least 4 people think you are 5 star fast! It's a shame those people don't realize debruin is fast only so he can take more money and deliver worse care. Hey doc, thanks for pretending to checking my heart rate once! That really added value. Just kidding. Why bother pretending to care doc? It's so obvious you don't. Why pretend? It's insulting. This place is a money grubbing joke. I feel like doctors should hold themselves to some kind of higher standard. Health before wealth? Nah. Not here. If you want to see their true service, try telling them they made a mistake. As soon as they hear "I had an issue with..." They will interrupt you and begin listing ways you can help yourself and stop wasting their time. If you wait for them to finish and try to speak, they may put you on hold without saying anything, or sigh and say "oh my God" into the phone as you try to explain why you are taking up more than 10 seconds of their time. It's truly shocking the kind of behavior debruin allows. What even more shocking is he may take the phone from them and actually somehow deliver worse service than that. If you try to tell this doctor your issue he will likely interrupt you with the assumption he has made from partial information. Do you really want this guy diagnosing your medical issues??? He can't even listen to a full sentence. This place needs to be investigated. i called ...receptionist was amazing..fit me in the next day. I got the referral i needed with no hassle. everyone was amazing!!!

I called Dr Debruin’s office in a final effort for back pain relief before I was to ship out to work for the next 6 weeks. I was told by another Dr. I had closed spina bifida occulta. Dr took x-rays and we sat down and he showed me, No I did not have it and we had to change the course of treatment, for years I have been missed diagnosed. Dr copied my x-rays to a cd for me and made some suggestions for different things that had to be done. I very much enjoyed his straight forward approach and the time he took to explain what needed to happen for a proper of treatment. It's hard to believe how many 1 star reviews this place has, ITS A HEALTH PROFESSIONAL! Or should I say unprofessional. I went here since I was a kid and never really made the effort to escape this terrible place. Now that I'm much older I'm starting to realize my health is too important to trust Dr debruin.

Like most men, bit reluctant to see a doctor, in fact went a number of years without a primary care physician. That said, can't say enough about Dr. DeBruin and his staff who are always kind and courteous. I especially appreciate his thoroughness and efficiency both in medicine and in business. If you have an appointment at 9:15, you get seen at 9:15. Cheers to Dr. DeBruin and his staff in the new year, here's to a healthy and happy 2019!

Professional, caring, and with no waiting past your appointment time, Dr. DeBruin and his staff ALWAYS find time to fit you into the schedule when you are in need of support with your health, be it emotionally or physically. not good..never good, the best thing I can say, he does get you in fast for very simple stuff to treat like colds. But when you have significant legitimate questions or concerns about your health, and he is your only Primary Care Physician, forget it! He does not listen, and just wants you to keep coming back every 2 weeks, cause HE is too busy. We have many "not good" stories, so I must leave at that. We have gotten another Great PCP, that listens and actually treats us properly.

Dr Debruin has been my primary physician since I relocated from the Bay Area back in the 90's. The Dr and his team have been consistently outstanding in all aspects. They know and greet me by name. My appointments are easily scheduled, and when I show up I'm seen promptly. Discussions on health topics are made easy by the professional and personable staff. Insurance issues are a non-issue. Dr. Mark Debruin provides the time necessary to address my concerns. At times that means he is in and out in two minutes. However, when I express a concern, he takes the time to listen, ask me questions ultimately develop a diagnosis and provide the treatment necessary to ensure recovery. Concerning the staff, from the front desk, to the nurses and nursing assistants I find each and every one of them to be courteous, professional, and make my visit as comfortable.

Dr. DeBruin and his staff are always amazing. I have been going here regularly for over 5 years now. As a DO he goes above and beyond the treatment I’ve had from other providers. Having X-rays, antibiotics, and even joint/spinal adjustments performed in house is phenomenal. I’ve even brought my kids in with illness and injuries and love the way they were tended to by him and his staff.

Dr DeBruin has created an excellent medical practice with a well trained, considerate staff. He has been my doctor for over 7 years, diagnosing my cancer very early and helping me obtain the correct support to help save my life! His practice is conducted very professionally. I have referred friends to him who have all expressed complete satisfaction with him and his office!

I have been a patient of Dr. Debruins for over 30+ years. He knows my body extremely well. Extremely professional with great staff!

I've been seeing Dr DeBruin, for over 20 years. He has been great at helping me manage my recovery from a severe stroke 8 years ago. The staff is very friendly, almost like family.

My husband introduced me to Dr. DeBruin over 18 years ago when I moved to the area and since our pediatrician closed last year we have also moved our children to this office. The office is very courteous. They fit us in when we need to be seen. Dr. DeBruin is very knowledgeable and efficient. We never wait more than 10 minutes in the waiting room.

Dr. Debruin and his staff have taken excellent care of me for many years. I would highly recommend them for your health care needs. The doctor has worked with me on a number of health issues and has shown great care and concern in treatment and follow up.

I have been using Dr. Debruin for over 10 years now and he is efficient and timely. I never have to wait very long to see him. I would recommend this office to anyone looking for a good doctor.

I dreaded having to find a new doctor a few years back but due to health insurance I had to. I was so glad I found Dr. Debruin who not only was close to my home but was great in helping with my lower back chronic pain. I know it will never go away completely but with his help it is so much better. I'm lucky I don't have any other medical issues but if I did I'm confident I'll be taken care of by Dr. Debruin and his staff who are all very nice and great folks.

Staff does'nt follow the STRICT HIPPA laws that are EXTREMELY clear and one of the most important initial signs I noticed. However, In addition Dr. DeBruin is an Egotistical, semi-rude A-hole of a Dr. to the likes of something I'VE NEVER BEFORE SEEN!!!! If you tell him that a specific change that he decided to make with your medication (all of a sudden, after 5+ yrs. on that dosage i might add) and he does not care- let alone even listen to the Patient (in my experience's). He also is the FIRST and ONLY physician I've EVER HAD whom REFUSE'S TO Prescribe my Prescriptions for 90 days out at a time...Instead, PROBABLY RELATED TO THE FACT I'M CASH-PAY for EVERY VISIT, he requires i come in and personally see him for all of 2 minutes or less at a MONTHLY COST AND ENORMOUS INCONVENIENCE TO MYSELF & my FAMILY (as I have two YOUNG children and this thing CALLED WORK I have to do, thus I really Don't have the TIME or MONEY to come-in EVERY-SINGLE MONTH and pay approx. $80.00 in CASH EVERY TIME just so I can see him for LITERALLY less than 2 minutes so I can get my Rx refill... he also changes dosage Month-Month Indiscriminately and without my OPINION or any FEEDBACK from me WHATSOEVER! This has caused me to run-out of Med's almost EVERY-SINGLE MONTH that I get them due to his outlandish decisions which the patient has NO OPINION OR SAY IN any of the matter At ALL. PERIOD! HE is ULTRA ARROGANT and IS ALWAYS RIGHT (in his disillusioned head!). I've also seen some other DISTURBING BEHAVIOR one morning when I had to drive the 25-35 minutes out to his office (the day after my appt...so 2 days in a row!) so he could "fix" the VERY PROBLEM I had told him the day before -during my appt- would be an issue. The way In which he had written out my Rx (even though I was VERY VOCAL about the fact that if he were to write it out like he planned & not just do it the most "common-sense" way that it would cost me $200-$300 (for THE MONTH, and ONLY for ONE of my several Rx's total), however he did it his way AS USUAL, and SURE ENOUGH it was gonna cost me almost $400.00 because of how it was written out and the Dosage (which was already FAR TOO LOW from the dosage I had been on for the past 5 to 6 + years in which I've been on this particular medication. So, as I had told him less than 24 hrs prior to having to GO ALL THE WAY BACK OUT TO THE OFFICE, then HOPE I could even get in to speak with him briefly or simply send a message back to him...since I came in before any actual appt' were scheduled I did indeed happen to see him and he then asked for me to explain exactly what the problem was? And i might add that he initially he not ONLY interrupted me and said "NO", but he was RUDEand I'm pretty certain he really had ZERO clue as to who I even was! Keep in mind I was there the LATE-AFTERNOON the DAY BEFORE & SAW HIM FOR AN APPT. Needless to say I was sick of the BS and him not listening and just doing whatever he thinks best...regardless of patient feedback or ANYTHING else from what I've seen throughout the 6+ months of being STUCK having to go to this physician (it's a complicated, slightly SHADY, NOT of my CHOOSING and if I had another option at the moment I would be on top of it, but there is TRULY NO OTHER PLACE I CAN GO, EVEN AS A "CASH-PAY" patient...I've been & continue to look). This would have been an even greater catastrophe, however I had to get a ride w/ my father on this specific morning/day due to me having a broken-down vehicle & I shouldn't have been driving anyhow..since the medication I was without (due to the Dr's arrogance) can cause many BAD side-effects when abruptly stopped, such as: SEIZURES and DEATH...ironically the one time I had ran out of med's while attempting to find a new dr. I had an ENORMOUS SEIZURE that lasted approx. 2 min's long and sent me to the ER via Ambulance considering I had NEVER PREVIOUSLY HAD ANY SEIZURE OF ANY TYPE, and for any reason...so being that it was the ONE & ONLY seizure that I had EVER had i needed to be checked out. Rude, doesn't care, and impatient. I told them I could feel the pain still after an ingrown toe nail, and said I needed a bit more to numb my foot. Dr. Debruin told me I shouldn't and proceeded. I didn't know that he could dictate how much my foot could feel and the pain in my foot. Nice to know he knows the pain I feel. Wouldn't recommend him. Bad service. Rude, doesn't care, and impatient. Short wait times, when you can get in. Beware they 'dont do' reminder calls even if specifically asked. They will rarely if ever squeeze you in for 3 minutes, even with an empty lobby. Closest Dr to me, one of the only in Orangevale Quick appts, which may be good or bad depending. If you're in a hurry I'm sure you appreciate it but if you pay cash it sometimes feels like robbery (70-80 bucks to say, "yep I'm still good thanks for the refill" ($70 for 5 minutes is $1400 an hour, and I never see him a full 5 minutes)). Unfortunately one of the other reviewers was right about them wanting to see you every month for refills. I struggled with this constantly untill I finally convinced them to charge me every 3 months. I can also confirm the Dr will occasionally change your dosage for seemingly small reasons such as a small change in weight (<9 lbs). When he does this to me it seems like a poor attempt to pretend to care. They did finally compromise but they really do insist on doing things their way, even if you are exactly correct and they have no idea. I had a nightmare trying to get them to fax a single form to the pharmacy once. I don't appreciate the flat screen tvs in the exam rooms, playing advertisements for their own cosmetic procedures or other services... It also seems to have crazy hours, 8-4 with a 2 hour lunch that shuts down the whole office? Is that normal? Try staggering lunches so we can call you between 12 and 2 I came here to check hours and call for an appointment but since I have 1.5 hours to wait till you reopen I guess I'll use some of that time leave a review. Very good Doctor, I’ve been seeing him for 20 yrs now, I lost over 60 lbs . And have keep the weight off. Over the years thanks to him and his staff .

Doc gets right to the point and gives great advice on how to help yourself with activities, not just pills which is what I need and respect.

Doctor is quick and efficient. I had an irregular EKG for a surgery I needed. It was my first time seeing him and I'd switched primary care doctors several times over the years. Sure I waited a while while he accessed all my past records. He wanted to be sure it was OK with my knee replacement that he considered a major surgery. With him it was just a pre-op but he made sure I was good to go and my surgery went smoothly. If you want somebody to hold your hand and just give out pain meds then go somewhere else. Fraud and abuse are this guys game. From unnecessary procedures to turn a profit that leave patients injured to unnecessary follow up appointments and everything in between. He has the staff pack as many appointments into the day as possible and then blows through adjustments and procedures in an effort to hurry up and get to the next one. Worse experience ever. Will not be going back to him.

Went to see him about a sprained ankle, he had it wrapped without really looking at it or asking questions. Three months later I went back because my foot still hurt and both ankles were swollen. More x-rays showed that I had a broken bone in my foot. For the swollen ankles he told me to take some ibuprofen. In June of this year, I was hospitalized for congestive heart failure, had he diagnosed my swollen ankles, it might not have come to that. He only wants insurance money.

After being abandoned by my primary care physician Dr Cooper after 7 years with no notice vocalized or on paper, this Mark debruin took in over 10,000 patients or at least was referred that many with an already existing practice. I've had two appointments all of which lasted maybe 5 minutes tops. On my first visit, he reduces my rx's with no standing and not my consent. He is turned my life upside down these past 5 months and put my job in Jeopardy, and my life once I run out of my medicatio

My Dr. of 12 years recently went out of business and suggested his patients now go to Dr. DeBruin. Personally, I have never met a more arrogant, pompous person in my life. I feel that he rushes you in and out before you even have a chance to address your concerns. Maybe he is more interested in his cosmetic and weigh loss clinics than his regular practice. Joann, his PA is wonderful as is his NP, Crystelle. Also, the women at the front desk is gem. After 10 visits, I will not be returning.

Better than when I first started going, but I feel like a cattle being rushed in and rushed out. I feel that he doesn't really listen to my concerns and only wants to treat for one thing at a time. The good is that I can get an appoint relatively easy. As I say he has gotten better than in past years.

I was very unhappy with the results of my visit with this doctor. I spent a large amount of money and no follow up.

I've never ever met a doctor so rude and uncaring. It's literally mind boggling that he is actually an MD. I mean if you don't want me as a patient just tell me instead of just giving me the worst level of care imaginable. He doesn't let you talk, just runs right over you with his presumptions that you haven't done anything right, or that you're just drug seeking. I just paid my copay and you're going to charge my insurance the least you can do is give me 10 minutes, I am not lying he came in, read my chart, looked at my back for approximately 5 seconds, and told me I'm fine just rest should be better in a few days. But dr. It's already been 5 days with no improvement I can barely stand upright or walk without limping. Ok then make an appt for next week if there's no change. I was assigned to Dr DeBruin because my primary physician, Dr Cooper decided to quit practice and leave all his patients hanging in the wind with no doctor, no clear path to refill prescriptions, no access to medical records and no ability to follow through with referrals. I went to Dr De Bruins office for a referral and they said they would get back to me. Two weeks later Dr. DeBruins office had not called. After calling them, they said I needed to get my own referral. Thanks for not helping.

As a female with ADD, I've had to deal with being told I am depressed when I am definitely not. You can tell he is on top of his medicine and is well informed. He didn't push high dosages or any particular brands on me, which I appreciate. Worth checking out if you are looking for a solid primary care doctor.
