Dr. Lawrence Brett Babat

I was referred to Dr. Babat for spine surgery as an emergency. My Dr. Said he was the best for my condition. I have no pain from my back. It’s wonderful to not have the pain because now I’m waking again.

I had been told I needed surgery on my spine by a different Doctor. I saw Dr. Babat for a second opinion. He explained my problem, and told me he didn't think I needed an operation. He prescribed physical therapy andsome meds. This was about a month ago, and I'm doing muck better. I'm really glad I listened to him and didn't have an operation.

I've had a few failed back surgeries. Dr. B and his team tteated me promptly, arranged my surgery quickly, and took great care of me. I'm almost three months out from his operation, and I'm better than I have been in years.

I’m a nurse who met with this arrogant egotistical to discuss a surgery which I needed. After I conducted my interview with him, I knew, from his mannerisms, he was a definite NO!

I’ve been a patient of Dr Babat for around 6 years and he is the best! Always honest with you on what he could and couldn’t do to help with your pain and health issues! Dr. Babet performed a spinal fusion surgery on me in 2017 and left me with chronic nerve pain in my feet. I received no follow up care. His bed side manner is on par with his skill level. Would never recommend.

First time visit new patient and the nurse practitioner had me do mri before meeting with the dr for first time for severe pain in lower back. The dr walked in and jntroduced himself and said point blank you have a fractured vertebrae because your cancer is back after 15 years. He didn’t even bring a nurse in with him. Then said he already notified my oncologist that morning . He should have told me before the appointment that I should have someone come with me . They could’ve thought up something so I wouldn’t have been all alone when he told me the devastating news. After the news he didn’t even examine me or anything just walked out.Then had a nurse come in to fit me for a back brace that was way to big and hurts really bad. Was in shock from the news and just wanted to get out of there .It actually fit my son-in-law that is 6,5 240lb and I’m 5,2 . Then they had me leave through the back entrance of the office for some reason. By far the worst treatment by a dr or human being.

Dr. Babat literally saved my wife's life. She had a horrible infection that was destroying her spine, and Dr. B and his team fixed it. I can't thank them enough!

To Dr Babat and his amazing team, I honestly don't know how to express my gratitude in a way that is sufficient. All of you, beginning with the miraculous Dr. Babat and continuing through Jenna and the rest, have changed my life...my world, in ways I feel I will never find the right words for. Babat did major surgery on my spine with multiple fusions and rods. I was told about the many complications that could arise from this procedure. The thing I didn't realize is, HE was my biggest complication. He seemed to take care of my stenosis but after just 4 weeks he was wanting to set a firm date of release. This doctor has no compassion at all for a patient that isn't healing well. He never suggested that I go to therapy, I had to ask him myself. My physical therapist sent him a progress report that shows I have severe restrictions and I am unable to safely drive and he still released me with no restrictions. I am a truck driver! Now I don't have a job, insurance or LTD thanks to this Dr. Babat. He suggested that I change jobs and said "Frankly I think you could have gone back to work weeks ago". Great Holiday present Doc! You wonder why my family is upset? But you know what? I forgive you! May you see yourself through me eyes.

Dr Babat and his team are fantastic. Another doctor did several surgeries on my neck that left me unable to hold my head up. I couldn't see to drive, I had trouble looking where I was walking, and was starting to have trouble eating because I couldn't open my jaws all the way, They were hitting my chest. Dr B did an operation called osteotomy. It was a tough one, it took 5 hours, and I was in the hospital for 4 days. But now I can see where I'm walking and driving, and can eat fine. I'm just spoiled happy I found him. Thank you Dr. B!

Dr. Babat’s Team is Wonderful and Truly a Pleasure to Discuss Concerns with. Dr. Babat is an extremely intelligent Arrogant Man, who’s really needs to work on his bedside manner. He’s Excellent in his field. If he operates on you during Covid, don’t expect him to listen to your post op concerns or issues. You can expect him to have diminished miscommunication from working too much. Check Your Notes online for accusations which are not true due to herding folks in/out. He operated on a friend of mine many years ago & had totally different personality back then, more caring & listened to her concerns. My nephew who is a retired Trauma Surgeon from Baltimore said, sounds like Dr. Babat is experiencing Burnout.

He did major cervical stenosis surgery on me. I am still having pain, tingling and weakness. He doesn't seem to to care and has said he will release me to go back to work without restrictions even though Im still having big problems. Im a truck driver and I am obligated as a professional driver NOT to drive if for any reason I feel Im not safe to drive. My range of motion has decreased and he never asked about that and the pain and tingling in my neck, shoulder and running down my arm will prevent me from doing what trucking requires. He says he has taken care of the stenosis and feels his job with me is done. He also told me that if i can't go back to work maybe I should go hire a disability lawyer! Really? You Dr. Babat, should have an obligation to your patient to admit the surgery didn't fix the tingling and has actually caused more nerve issues that will directly cause me to lose my job and insurance. He won't even help me stay on my LTD that I've paid for for 20 years. Im 62 years old and what do I do now? Shame on you!

Blessed to have such a wonderful surgeon. He also has a lovely bedside manner.His staff are kind and friendly too.Great surgeon !!!

My experience with Dr. Babat is that he is awesome at what he does. His staff is wonderful and has a very caring touch. He came into my scenario 9 months after my broken neck and fixed what another doctor either couldn't or wouldn't fix. I'm 41 and hopefully won't live with the complications and restrictions of a broken neck.

Dr Babat has now done two spinal surgeries for me. I would not trust anyone else to do these surgeries. Fantastic surgeon and great personality!

Dr. Babat performed my surgery (Anterior Cervical Herniated Disc Surgery With Fusion) on 12/10/18 and I am astounded with the results that I am already experiencing. Dr. Babat clearly detailed everything that would be done and I felt very comfortable and at ease with him and all of his staff (Hillary and Jenna are excellent!) I would highly recommend him to anyone in need of this type of surgery. I would put my life in his hands again without a second thought.

Dr. Babat performed spine surgery in June. He took time to answer questions and concerns and his staff is equally as patient and professionaly recommend!

I have never rated a physician but feel the need to share my experience with others. Dr. Babat performed extensive surgery on my cervical spine two weeks ago. He is highly focused, has a support team that is impressive, and addressed every aspect of the best possible treatment. His serious dedication to obtain the best results is obvious. I must say, not often do we experience a profound change in our life but Dr. Babat has done this for me and I am so thankful. I feel more normal each day.

I thought he was gonna help us which he said surgery is the only cure and unfortunately You ha e to have insurance or the money to do it never going back there trust me

I was told I couldn't ever walk on my own again and my right leg was shutting down. I can't even express the pain I was in then we found Dr Babat and it was like he was God sent. Ten days after my first surgery I walked almost a mile with my dad and it was due to Dr Babat. I'd follow him anywhere. He gives me a quality of life when other doctors have messed me up and just said welp you have to live with it. I immensely recommend Dr Babat to anyone.

I am a current patient of Dr. Babat. He has put me at ease from day one. He takes the time to make sure I totally understood my issues that I'm having with my back. And the best steps for me to take to make sure I get a full recovery. To be totally at ease and confident with your Doctor is something I don't take lightly and I have the up most respect and confidence in Dr. Babat. I also have to add that I would recommend him and he creates a level of trust and goes above and beyond for a patient

I found Dr. Babat to be very friendly, which put me more at ease. He patiently answered all of my questions--no sugar coating. I wanted to know exactly how he would correct my condition. He also took the time to explain not only the surgery but each phase of my recovery and rehabilitation.

Unfortunately I was in a car accident and function okay , and pain free 90% of the time after my first back surgery with Dr. Babat . The accident left me hope less and in excruciating pain from the left side of my lower back, hip and knee. Today 2 hrs are less after the surgery I'm walking pain free so far and better than the 1st surgery. Thank to Dr Babat and his team and a lot of prayers.

After attending other doctors, it wasn't until I met Doctor Babat that saved my life. I did not know the danger I was in. He is the true meaning of using the gift of healing that God gave him. He took out the time to explain everything to me. I am so grateful that God put him and his staff in my life.
