Dr. Larry L Ruffin

He is so kind and patient and not an alarmist. He respects our opinions and values our input as parents.

He is a doctor that oversees the family practice that I attend. My son has ADHD and Dr Ruffin is the only one that can prescribe his medicine. Time and time again, he has not sent the script to our pharmacy in a timely manner, meaning my son runs out and it's several days of me calling my Dr office houndi g them to get with Dr Ruffin to get the script filled. This is not ok for a person who needs his medicine to be able to handle daily funstions.

Dr. Ruffin takes the time to listen and talk with his patients before making any recommendations. He is very patient and competent. I have recommended my family members and he has been wonderful. Before treating my son he read his medical records and requested additional records from his previous doctors. Then rescheduled appointment to see my son for further treatment. I have no doubt he will obtain a satisfactory solution and not stop until he does.

I love the care provided by Dr Ruffin he takes his time and listens to you It's probably your attitude if you received that service. I have been going there for several years and have had excellent care

Dr. Ruffin has been a great Doctor for me. He has taken the time to talk with me and refer as necessary. I'm always able to get a fast appointment and his staff is excellent. I will continue to use Dr. Ruffin.

He should get no stars from me. I had my first appt with him only to realize he didn't want me because of one med that no other doctor had an issue with. He never said a word during our only visit that he didn't want me as a patient. I've never been treated this way ever. The staff was down right mean!

Horrible, all the way around. None of them listen to the patients needs. You will have to call, and leave ten messages, to get the results of your test. There is absolutely no communication among the staff. I am amazed he is able to still practice. It is a joke. Staff is lazy, and they do not care. Run from this practice.

Office staff/management most inept I've ever seen. Unacceptable delays in lab results; waiting weeks then wants more lab work every doctor appointment. Does not listen to the patient or consider the patient's medication history. It's his way or no way. Don't even waste your time at this practice. Definitely learned my lesson to do more research and being more selective in choosing a family doctor, preferably one with more experience and professionalism.

Dr Ruffin is very friendly, But when it come to diagnosing he is not very good. My husband had gall bladder stones. It took 3 months of visits many prescriptions of antacids. We gave up and went to emergency room and in 5 mins we were told gall stones. we went back to Ruffin and he set up an ultra sound. They sent over the wrong paper work for someone else and even a whole different test. This office will not call you even when they say they will. VERY VERY unprofessional. Nurses are rude.

Terrible!!!!! Started off with the wait, then the staff, and then the pointless appt that did nothing but leave my husband with unknown answers. Any one off the street could have checked blood pressure and banked on someone's insurance. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME & MONEY!!!! I would recommend Mid-Del Family Physicians any day over this!

Dr. Ruffin is by far one of the nicest and most caring doctors I have ever met. He sees all five of our children and he is great with every one of them. He personally calls to check on us after appointments if necessary instead of having a nurse or staff member call like most do. He listens to your concerns and addresses them. And he really knows his stuff. He isn't in a hurry when in the room and the wait time isn't too bad. We usually get in pretty quickly. Both of his nurses are friendly too.

I set up an appointment for a annual exam/physical which I had to wait for 3 weeks to get in, which at the time I thought, no big deal. Boy was I wrong! This has to be the worst experience I've every had with any business. The office staff on a scale of 1 to 10 is barely a 3 but the worst part is they billed my insurance and me over $5000 for an exam that they billed as an office visit with lab work. Now you would think, no big deal I'll just call and get it corrected! Wrong! Very unprofessional

I am changing doctors. I have had terminal wait on the phones on at least 6 occasions and have been hung up on at least 3 times after terminal wait. I find the admin staff to be less than professional. No matter how much I like Dr. Ruffin, I just can't deal with the red tape to get an appointment or ask a question.
