Ms. Kristin L Hanson

This is THE best endocrinologist of my 38 year healthcare career. She takes the time, has more knowledge and shares more knowledge than any other endocrinologist I have ever been to and is pleasant and supportive. Do not pass this physician by. She is a keeper.

Knowledge is off the charts. Puts patients needs above everything. She’s a shining example of what an excellent doctor should aspire to be. Seriously.

I’m an established pt who had an annual exam with labs scheduled for today. Drove for an hour to her office at 56th Av and Thunderbird, only to be told, “she doesn’t work here anymore.” This is the second time in 2 years she’s pulled this disappearing act. Once again my medical records are not retrievable, just like when she left the medical office on Glendale Av. Like most ppl who see a specialist, I’ve had dozens of complex tests, by her and another specialist (now retired) and I foolishly trusted her to keep my records accessible and safe. Now I have nothing, and no doctor to run the necessary tests so I can stay on my Rx.

Dr. Hanson is the best ! I left Cigna just to come to United Health Insurance as she was recommended to me. I have a strange case - NES which no one knows about or understands having to do with my cortisol levels - she not only ordered me a test for my levels but also researched all she could find on it !

To all of Dr. Hanson’s patients....I have been seeing here for years and have followed her where ever she goes. She is now at East Valley Diabetes & Endocrinology in Gilbert, Az. I hope this helps because I understand how you feel. She is a wonderful caring doctor that takes the time to listen and understand her patients. I tracked her down this past week and will be seeing her again. I wish you all luck.

She is the most understanding doctor I have ever had and has gotten my blood sugar under control. Since her old office called me and said she left I have been in a panic trying to find her. Once you have a great doctor you want to keep them.

This is THE most informed, detail oriented, knowledgable, caring physician of my lifetime. Her patient education is unequalled. She is SO knowledgable the patient has to be hungry for this information or the patient will miss the value of what this excellent Physician has to offer.

I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes in April of 2019, a shock since I have zero Diabetes in my family. I was scripted an oral medication and had no success with my Diabetes management or weight loss, even with seeing a registered dietician. In October of 2019, I requested to see Summit Health’s new Endocrinologist, Dr. Kristin Hanson as a last-ditch effort / total frustration with my situation. On my first visit, Dr. Hanson had reviewed my medical records and had a full grasp of my situation (Diabetes was produced from years of scripted prednisone use). Dr. Hanson changed my medication to a once a day injection paired with one oral medication (different from the first oral medication) and my Diabetes has been controlled and I have lost weight from my food management efforts (via the registered dietician’s guidance) to this date. Dr. Kristin l Hanson is very knowledgeable, Thorough, and precise. She is the most honest and caring endocrinologists I have worked with. She is also very patient with complex cases. Dr. Hanson has brought me further back to a healthier lifestyle then any of my other endocrinologists. Yes! I have had a few. She's a keeper!

Only one of two doctors that have actually tried to help me and cared enough to do so. She is really brilliant and really knows her stuff. Would have given her 5 stars but you sometimes have to remind her you are here. But, that may be because she is changing her office and her assistant isn't keeping up with messages.

THE absolute worst medical experience I ever had. This doctor, her office, staff, etc are the very height of incompetence from my experiences. Hardly one time was I ever alerted to anything, order after order was incompetently sent in (to insurance or what not), time and again I was told something was being done which was never done, etc. Absoutely sickening “practice.”

A terrific doctor in every way. Caring, highly knowledgeable...a true credit to her profession.

Very disappointed with this doctor. At first she seems to be very knowledgeable but then! Been having horrible symptoms with some off blood work and it’s neglected; other tests come back abnormal and her office calls and says everything is normal! No skin off their nose right? No no it’s the patient that suffers. Talks about emotional stress when something is physically wrong? Has an office poster relating to depression in an Endo’s office?? Wow! Office staff is horrible too. Wait for hours.

Amazing doctor!!! She was running late and actually game out to lobby to let everyone know she was running late and apologized. She took her time with me and answered all my questions. You don't find much of this anymore.

I think Dr. Kristin Hanson was very nice and easy-going. I really like that she interacts more like just a regular person and not putting on some kind of "professional" air. I was impressed that she knew about Myotonic Dystrophy and why my daughter needs to have yearly screenings. She also knew what to look for and knew about her secondary condition with the thyroid. The only thing I would change would be the strong smell of bleach in the office. It affected my throat, lungs, and sinuses.

It doesn't get any better than this Dr. She's done wonders for me! She's brilliant and thorough. Don't be afraid to go to this physician!

I was treated by Dr Hanson in 2002 for autoimmune thyroid issues. She was the best doctor I'd ever seen then and since. She's extremely thorough and found things no other doctor ever mentioned or thought to look for. She ended up bringing me back to a functional state by adding t3 to the t4 which none of my prior Drs had allowed but which made ALL the difference. I was really happy to see her on my insurance list this year and got in to see her asap - I highly recommend her.

Dr Hanson is an outstanding doctor. She always spends as much time with me as I need to explain things to me and ask me all sorts of questions trying to pinpoint what specifically is going on. She sometimes runs late for my appointments but I never mind that because she's merely extending the same care to another patient as she does for me. She is the best dr I've ever seen and Im confident that she's on top of things
