Dr. Merriman is Very professional, caring, great bedside manners. He listens and explains very well. Staff is also very professional, friendly and efficient.

Dr. MERRIMAN has been my PCP for several years. Simply put, he is the gold standard. His upcoming retirement later this Spring will leave a gaping void in old school health-care...the kind of Dr. appts. where the patient and doctor do not have a corporate stopwatch monitoring the length of intake discussions and care recommendations. It seems apparent Ascension is trying to squelch the unhurried patient/doctor office visit. The doctors and all health-care staff are burned out due to overwork, overstress all in the name of pure corporate greed. Are you listening, ASCENSION? For shame!!! Ascension personnel are quitting by the droves, because you have taken the "caring" out of patient care! Fortunately for us, Dr. Kim Merriman values above all his ethics and principles. In so doing he prefers to carefully listen to, counsel, console (when needed) and build relationships with his patients, instead of adhereing to a stop watch. His medical team and the office staff are an extension of his style. I will miss his compassionate care, frank and pragmatic discussions, but most of all his friendship. I've been a patient of Dr. Merriman for over 30 years. He's been a wonderful primary care physician, a class act. Dr. Merriman will soon be retiring from Ascension. His departure will be a huge loss for his patients and for the profit over the patient Ascension Health care system. Ascension's recent decision to close its labor and delivery unit at St. Francis Hospital is hardly in the Christian tradition. The New York Times exposed Ascension for what it truly is - a profit making business hiding behind a not-for-profit tax shield; abandoning not just central cities for wealthier suburban and exurban areas but also any remnants of Catholic Care. As a result, my wife and I will be leaving Ascension too.

Doctor Merriman is one of the finest doctors I have ever worked with. He is thorough, understanding, well educated, and an excellent listener. He is always very positive and helpful in how he relates his recommendations. I feel lucky to have him as my primary care physician.

The doctor was very understanding about my health concern, ordered a blood test, and got the results before I had to travel. I’m grateful for this.

Dr. Merriman is always great. He knows my history and remembers it; and he always takes time to understand what is going on.

Dr. Merriman spent 45 minutes with me trying to figure out an usual problem. This is not the first time, he is extremely thorough.

This has nothing to do with Dr. Merriman, he is great. This is about the front staff, terrible. Had an appointment for the second Shingles doze, arrived for the appointment at 9am, waited 20 minutes only to find out the office had no vaccine. Was told they would call me that afternoon or definitely next morning when the vaccine arrived to make arrangements to come in. They never called. I eventually called and came in. How do you run out of the vaccine? When the last doze is gone you order more, pretty simple. With Colleen gone the front staff is worthless. This has nothing to do with Dr. Merriman, he is great. Dr. Merriman is by far the best doctor ever!!!! My mom started taking me to see him since I was 12 yrs old, I'm 36 now and would not go to another doctor for anything in the world. He has gained my husband as a patient too! My husband loves him! Thank God my insurance always allows me to continue to see him. He is so understanding, patient, and will go out of his way to make sure you have the best care! He is not only my family doctor he is also completes my girl stuff (Pap Smear)! Dr. Merriman is really really smart,very patient, always kind and warm, and listens and responds and explains everything to me. You would be lucky to have him!!! Best primary ever! Really thoughtful and caring. He’s willing to try and work through those complicated issues that come with age and various complicated conditions. I have been Dr. Merriman's patient for probably 30 years. I feel comfortable with him and trust him. He spends ample time with me...gives me good advice and recommendations. I feel involved with my own care.

Dr. Merriman has been my primary physician for more than 45 years. I became a patient when he first started practicing and I have been a patient ever since. I can't imagine having a better doctor overseeing my health care issues. He is friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the issues of concern to my health. This visit was a diabetes periodic check up. Dr. Merriman is extremely well organized, competent, caring and proactive. His office called me to set up an appt. for an A1c blood glucose test. I got in to see him right away (2 days). He and his staff (kudos to Nurse Patty) are outstanding, knowledgeable, courteous, kind, compassionate, pleasant, and honest. They motivate their patients to achieve and maintain good health. Their front desk staff (Coleen, Kathy et al) is outstanding and integral to the team. We have trusted Dr. Merriman and his team to care for our family for the past 2 decades. We are grateful.

Dr. Merriman was totally dismissive of my condition. I have persistent side effects from a medication I took, but since I look fine on paper, and because he has prescribed patients the same medication and they do fine on it, he basically called me a liar and refuses to believe I’m suffering symptoms. Just another careless charlatan like the one who made me sick in the first place. I’ve never felt so uncared for by a medical professional and I sincerely think his license should be revoked. If I could give negative stars I would. He does not listen. He does not care. Absolutely unacceptable.

Dr. Merriman has been my primary car physician for around 40 years. I started with Dr. Merriman when first started in to private practice when I was in my early 30's. I have been with him ever since. He has a great personality and has a wealth of medical experience and knowledge from which he draws. And add to that his personality is so friendly. I always feel comfortable and relaxed when I need to see him. You couldn't find a finer physician. Dr. Merriman is the best of the best!

Dr. Merriman has been working with me as a patient for 25 years Dr Merriman is always understanding willing to go out of his way to help you find the position you need for the specialty that you needed in Dr Merriman is a five-star doctor there's no one better than him he's the greatest
