Dr. Countryman is exceptional! "Exceptional" even falls short of describing her. She is like the female Tom Hanks but in a white coat — kind, warm, cheerful, affable, intelligence beyond belief — all the positive adjectives I could ever think to describe a caring and competent medical professional. As a young, health- and wellness-conscious woman in her mid-twenties, I don't need frequent visits to a family physician but I found Dr. Countryman after dozens of high praising reviews from patients who vetted her — and she trust me, she lives up to the hype! She doesn't make me feel hurried through an appointment or like my concerns are silly. She consistently listens carefully and shows genuine concern about my well being. She asks the best questions to provide clarity for the both of us and educates me with beautiful analogies and metaphors without being intimidating or too wordy or condescending. I love soaking up her plethora of knowledge! I trust what she is telling me and know that she has my best interest in mind. I know, without a doubt, that she truly and whole-heartedly cares for her patients and I'm lucky I'm one of them. Everyone in her office is so lovely, attentive, down to earth, and really do their best to make you feel welcome. I cannot think of one bad thing to say. My entire patient experience exceeded what I thought a doctor’s office should be. Dr. Countryman is a Godsend. She was recommended to me 5 years ago when I moved to West Des Moines. I could not have been put in more capable, loving, caring hands. She truly listens. When I'm in her office I feel as if she's a friend who really WANTS to help. Any anxiety I may have felt about my concerns is immediately gone when she walks in. She has a way of making everyone feel completely at ease and able to ask the hard questions. She is a competent and thorough doctor. I call to make an appointment and can get in within a few days. I feel like she is there for me, she listens, she cares and she solves my problems! She knows how things are with me (physical and mental) and she is there for me. She is kind, and goes beyond her days to help solve some problems with me! I would never go anywhere else! She has been my personal DR for over 25 years!

This person could care less about the patient. She said a very harmful thing to me that turned out to be pure ignorance. This doctor is not up to date.

Dr. Countryman takes the time to listen to her patients. She is trustworthy & has the best bedside manner of any physician I have ever known. She takes the time to address the patients concerns & how to move forward with healthcare physically & mentally.

Dr. Countryman really listens to your concerns and works with you to find the best solution. She is truly one of the most caring physicians I have ever encountered.

I have been a patient of Dr. Countryman for about 10 years. She is the most caring, compassionate and competent Dr. I have ever experienced. At 70 yrs old I've seen more than a few providers but hands down, she the best!

Dr. Countryman has been our family doctor for many years. She is the absolute best! She is super smart, exceptionally competent but most of all she is extraordinarily kind and compassionate and truly cares about her patients. We are so fortunate to have her for our physician.

Dr. Countryman is great. She is kind and compassionate as well as an excellent diagnostician. I would trust her with my life. In fact, I do! And my husband's as well.

She has my doctor for 20 years . I just love her !

She is warm and pleasant in demeanor and does not rush. She has a great sense of humor. She appears familiar with history. Suggestions are accompanied by reasons they may be helpful. She does not use a negative approach or fear as a motivator, and does not get bent out of shape if you choose not to follow all suggestions, as long as she feels you have an appreciation of possible consequences. Best provider I have ever had.

Kim Countryman is the best doctor I have ever had besides being a women that understands women health issues. I highly recommend her & her staff.
