She ignored all the issues I was having, high blood pressure and headaches and sleep apnea.

I found her to be hurried and dismissive. Not necessarily eager to listen. She was annoyed that I used the Patient Portal to review my lab reports in preparation for my visit with her. She reinterpreted one of my long-standing diagnoses after my first visit with her, without any discussion with me. My last visit with her was for follow-up labs due to changes in medication. She did not review those results with me, just said they "look fine" and was ready to walk out the door. I did have questions about some of my labs that were flagged on the reports, but she did not give me the opportunity to address them with her. She actually said, "I'm sure you have better things to do"; I guess this was because my appointment was right before Christmas, but she was the one in a hurry! I was never asked if I needed any prescription refills and the prescription for a drug she was going to add was never sent in to the pharmacy. I asked her what I weighed at check-in, but she never responded to my question. Waynesville Family Practice now asks personal questions online prior to your visit; questions that were previously asked by the nurse/assistant immediately prior to being seen the doctor. I felt more comfortable and more forthright with this format; I thought that these would be taken more seriously for the doctor to address, but I'm left to wonder if they are just a formality and not a "red flag" for concern, as they are not addressed during the visit. I have been a satisfied patient at Waynesville Family Practice since they first opened their office in 1982.
