She was my doctor like 9 years she cool

We were brought here 3 times for my sons SEVERE Raynauds. They did the blood work initially to rule anything underlying out, then have him blood pressure medication to see if it helps. Medication didn’t help, it made him lightheaded and made him anxious. Doctor told us at next checkup that’s “not common”. Actually….it is…you are lowering blood pressure therefore creating dizziness and lightheadedness in some people. We were told to come back in 6 months…not sure why. Came back in 6 months and her nurse practitioner told my son to “wear gloves” and keep taking the meds he haS having issues with. Even gave us ideas on where to buy regular gloves. Cool. If you are going for this condition, please seek treatment elsewhere. I can not speak for other issues they may be more specialized in.

Ableist, “woo”suggestions to my non-ambulatory child: try yoga, read a book (with migraines), how much physical activity do you get? Child is in a power chair, and has chronic migraines. Attempted to push things that were against their neurologist’s advice.

When my daughter got extremely ill and was hospitalized, dr Schmidt was one of the many doctors who treated her. She was very kind and extremely thorough, she explained everything to a tee!! She didn’t treat us like we should already know things or that we were stupid because we didn’t know some of the auto-immune diseases that were brought up, like many “too good” doctors do. We truly feel she’s a great doctor and cares for each patient as an individual. I highly recommend her for your child.

She saved my daughter's life! My daughter has a very rare auto immune disease. We saw several Drs before before being referred to Dr. Schmidt and I'm forever thankful we found her. She was able to give a diagnosis a week or so after our first appointment. Then immediately scheduled for my daughter to stay at the hospital for a few days to get more bloodwork/test and to start medication to help manage her disease. I highly recommend her she is amazing at what she does!
