Mr. Joseph W Huston III

This Doctor is worthless for people with fibromyalgia, rude, did not help me at all, will not recommend him to anyone.

Have been a patient for approximately 25 years. However I have been trying for approximately 2 weeks, and neither Dr. Huston nor his staff will return my request for a phone call.

During my two appointments Dr. Huston has taken the time to listen and to explain in understandable terms the conditions, treatments and progress being made.

Absolutely no personality, no bedside manner. I'm not even sure why he still sees patients if he's this incapable of building a relationship with them. How can you trust someone who shows little concern for your issues, asks rapid-fire questions, and doesn't explain anything well? He ordered blood work and I had no idea what tests he was running until the results popped up in my portal. I waited for 3.5 months to see this guy and it was a monumental disappointment. I've never experienced this at Vanderbilt so I was really surprised that this guy still has a job. I'm talking to the doctor who referred me to him to figure out other options. I won't be going back to a doctor that doesn't care at all for his patients.

He did take his time explaining things,but he dismissed my issues that brought me in, instead of ordering blood work to figure out all my so called misdiagnosis, he put me on a different anti inflammatory med that I'm absolutely not comfortable taking and pretty much dismissed me. Apparently ticks in Tennessee don't carry Lyme diesese!!! I wanted to cry the moment he started talking. I felt like he thought because I was only 42 I could not have the issues I have. Definitely will not be returning or referring him to anyone!!!

Worse day of my life. He came into the room without examining me. We had driven 6 hours with two kids. He looked at me and said you are a healthy 31 year old, it’s all in your head. Wouldn’t even look at my pictures of my rashes, my hands swollen, fingers being blood red and hands being paper white. I sat there crying, and he said he would do some tests but it was a waste of money. And when they all come back normal he never wants to see me again. Well they didn’t all show up normal but he sent me on my merry way. I would never see this doctor. He literally has no manners, no heart or soul of what he does. Two months later I was diagnosed with lupus and because HE waited to long, I know have kidney issues!!!!! I REPEAT. DO NOT SEE THIS “DOCTOR”

Best doctor ever.

Had my first visit two weeks ago. Three new meds, and I feel better than I have in several years. He listened to what I had to say, and I feel he is extremely knowledgeable!

Dr. Huston has been my rheumatologist for 30 years. He is a wonderful doctor and cares about his patients. Would highly recommend him.

No effort to build rapport. He asked rapid fire yes/ no questions. Showed no concern. I left feeling unheard.

If I could,I'd give him a zero. Having to drive almost an hr and a half to be told that I had high levels of inflammation,but was being released was a complete waste ofmy time and money...I wouldn't recommend him to anyone

He came into the room first question he ask was why are you here. He had my daughter's records from other physicians for awhile before we came to him. He made my daughter, my husband and myself feel as though we were wasting his time by being there. I would not recommend this Doctor to anyone. I am not one to write reviews but this is one was needed.
