Dr. Jonathan David Grossman

My 92 yr old mother has spinal stenosis! If she doesn’t take her Dexamethasone she’s in very much pain! He will be doing a epidural injection on her soon! Very trustworthy dr! Highly recommend

I had a compression fracture December, 2019. My Dr.'s felt if I could stand it, the pain would get better in about 4 months. My life was horrible. I got at best 1 hour of sleep per night, and many nights with no sleep at all. I could do nothing at all, and go nowhere. After 5 1/2 months, I told my Dr. we had to do something and he referred me to Dr. Grossman. Dr. Grossman reviewed my MRI's and recommended a kyphoplasty procedure which I had done July, 2020. I was feeling completely back to myself again in 3 days and my pain was just gone. I went back to sleeping through the night, exercising and resuming my life. A very unpleasant man, I would not recommend

PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW!! I just had surgery with placing a neurostimulator into my spinal cord and to make a LONG story short, he told me he would not call in pain meds to a different pharmacy (I had a problem with the one he called). I was told to take over the counter meds!!!! OMG I talked to my primary and he told me if he called it to CVS (where I normally go) they would fill it. I have been on pain meds due to cervical fusion and lumbar nerve damage for a year and a half. It has caused liver problems now so I really needed 10s and not the 5s I've been on due to the ace. in the meds. In addition 2 hours after I got home from the surgery, Claudia called (I think she's the medical assistant) and was so rude to me when I was in a great deal of pain and still kind of out of it due to the anesthesia I received. When I got off the phone I was in TEARS balling to my husband. I cancelled my follow up. I am NOT NOT NOT going back to that office. I cannot believe the treatment I received and that I am supposed to take Tylenol after major surgery. AVOID!!!!!!! They seem really nice when you go in there. Don't be fooled! They will not help you!! UPDATE....Dr. Grossman called me and basically said he has never had an issue with Claudia. Well I had her on speaker, and my husband being a police officer for 25 years who deals will all sorts of personalities due to his job, even said she was RUDE AND EXTREMELY INCONSIDERATE to a patient that had just gotten home from surgery 2 hours before. I find it very hard to believe Dr. Grossman has never had an issue with her!! She is not a professional and if he wants to employee people who represent him in that way, all I can say is stay clear of that office!! If he has been in practice for 14 years and has only 2 other reviews, that is awful suspicious. I refuse to remove this until I receive an apology from Claudia and from a surgeon who told me to "take over the counter pain medication" for a major back procedure or an apology from him and Claudia's departure from that office. I had pain management with Dr. Grossman many years ago was very happy with my treatment. When he left the area, I could not find the quality of medical care that I received from him. When he returned to the area, my mom was referred to him. I will say that my elderly mother is used to “warm and fuzzy” and our first appointment was more technical, but when she had her pain injections, she found him delightful and was thrilled that the injections worked! She was pain free for about a year, and we will definitely return for follow-up with Dr. Grossman. I am glad he is back and Fresno, and I recommend him as a very astute pain management doctor. Having experienced several pain management doctors myself, there are several good, and many that I would not return to for anything in the world. Dr. Grossman is one that I would trust for myself and my mother. He is skilled and knowledgeable about pain management. I have had shots by this doctor over the last 5 years. I have had shots by others so I have a measure of comparison and he gets it the best. Kind DR. Expert in Steroid shots. I have followed him whenever he has moved because this kind of quality is hard to find.

Having had multiple back surgeries I sometimes experience severe back pain. My personal Dr. recommended I see Dr. Grossman for possible pain management that did not involve opiods and after peppering Dr Grossman with "20 questions", all of which he patiently answered, I decided to try a spinal injection to help control pain to see if I am a candidate for a pain pump. Through each step Dr Grossman has gladly answered all my questions and I have always felt he simply wanted what was best for me.

Great doc. Epidurals all helped.
