Excellent! I came in for a routine cleaning and also had a filling that had failed, which the doctor was able to repair/replace during my appointment. All was handled very professionally for this high anxiety dental patient. Thank you!

Office staff are friendly and helpful. No issues with scheduling appointments. Hygiene appointment was as expected: lots of X-rays/checking. It was quicker than I’m used to and very efficient. Dr. Issa is friendly and to the point. The only bummer is the parking lot is a little hard to get to but I don’t fault the practice for that. I would recommend this practice.

They listen and attend to the issue and softens the pain ,my son felt supported when in stressed out on his 1st.root canal the hardest step of his life but he said They were a lot better than most dental places that he has been to most don't ease the pain right away they poke the pain up more so he is very happy so...Yes I recommend this place 100% !!!

I've been to a few different offices over the past 10 years. Although Ashland Elite is a little longer of a drive, I've found the front receptionists to be helpful and welcoming. The hygienists are informative and thorough. Definitely worth the drive and am very pleased with the work they have done cleaning and getting everything else back in order. Absolutely horrible experience. I had an 11am appointment, the office called me at 10am asking if I could come in any earlier and I said I could make it sometime between 10:30 and 10:45 but likely closer to 10:45 as I had never been to their office. I got there for 10:45 and at 11:30 still hadn’t been seen, when I asked what was going on they said because I wasn’t there for 10:30 they went ahead and took another patient. While one of the woman at the front desk was pleasant the one I spoke to was extremely rude. I had also called the office all morning trying to get their fax number so my OB office could fax an authorization form saying I could be treated while pregnant and they never answered the phone. However they did call me at 10:25 while I was driving there asking if I was on my way because my appointment was at 10:15? I explained my appointment was at 11:00 but yes I was on my way as I was coming in early per their request. After leaving the office, they called me at 12:05 asking if I was waiting in the car and they we’re just now ready for me… if you have a life outside of your dentist appointments I do not recommend this office as they didn’t see any problem in me waiting an hour and 20 minutes for my appointment even after coming in early as they asked of me. I am a mother of 3, soon to be 4 and schedule appointments at certain times for a reason, I am always very understanding of offices running behind on times and have no problem waiting with open communication however the lack of communication here on top of being asked to come in early and then the staff member being rude in her delivery was uncalled for. I have been a patient of Dr J Zarrella since he came to Ashland and took over Dr. B Kramers Dental practice. I have recommended him to others who are now his patients. I heartily recommend him to anyone.

I definitely have no interest in bashing any companies ever. But I strongly had to give a heads up to someone who might come across this review. But I definitely would not recommend this place to you if your a very busy person or had an emergency and unfortunately need to cancel a day in Advance. I was so shock to hear on the phone as am canceling that this place has a three day cancellation policy and if you don’t cancel 3 days in advance you can NEVER book any future appointments with them EVER as the lady told me. Caught me off guard even more because I didn’t even book my appointment with them and never was made aware of this I was rather referred to them so am not sure how this business is running or how their doctors or staff is over there but it shows they don’t care either you know about their policy or not don’t bother yourself calling to even reschedule.!!! I've been going to Dr. Zarella for probably 30 years!! He is outstanding-, thorough, and personable, and has a wonderful staff! My daughter has been going to him her entire life.. when she was a toddler and we'd go together, she'd ask to go first! I highly recommend Dr Zarella & his staff!

I went for a x-rays & cleaning yesterday and had Megan as my hygienist. She was excellent! Her teeth cleaning was the best I have ever had and tips on keeping my gums healthy were very helpful. She fits right into your practice of the best care possible for your patients. Just thought you should know she is a "keeper".

Absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had at a dentist! The doctor didn’t even introduce himself he was extremely aggressive and abrasive when he was injecting me. After doing so he didn’t even allow time for it to set in! I was in an extreme amount of pain when I told him he just said OK OK OK OK I’m giving you another one and went back to drilling! It was an extremely rushed job and he seemed to be more interested in entertaining his assistance ! This must be his MO because I heard another woman say the same thing ! It’s disheartening to know that someone who is a licensed medical professional can treat someone/ppl like that ! I saw Dr. Joulakh and my experience was terrific--he's super reasonable!

New to area and was looking for a dentist Dr Z. Was recommended to me and I went. Excellent care and friendly staff. I found out that my previous dentist was not really paying attention to what’s going on with my teeth and had to get a lot of work done. Thank you Dr. Z. You are the best.

I’ve been a patient of Ashland Elite Dental and Dr Zarella for almost 20 years. I hope I never have to go to another practice. Always professional always caring always with good advice for a guy(me) with questionable tooth care practices.

My experience at Ashland Elite Dental was suburb as always. Dr. Z is the best -- so thorough with great attention to detail. My hygienist, Meagan, takes her time, listens attentively, and does an excellent job cleaning. I really like the service. Five stars and highly recommended.

Just had the best cleaning of my life with dental hygienist Christine Bernier. While cleaning my teeth, she was so educational and taught me many things about brushing, flossing and gum healthcare that I never knew. I get my teeth cleaned every 6 months faithfully and this was by far my best experience ever. I look forward to implementing what I learned and sharing it with others. She's the best! Great dentist! Been going to Dr. Zarrella for over twenty years! This was my first time being back to the dentist in about 18 months, due to the pandemic. I felt safe & welcome by the friendly staff. Just went in for routine cleaning and X-Rays. As usual, everything went great. This was the first time Megan did my cleaning. She did an excellent job and was very informative in educating me about some problems I am having with staining (I drink far too much coffee) and ways to minimize it. Over the past 4 years I have had to have quite a bit of work done to my teeth. I hadn’t been to a dentist in quite a few years due mostly to my anxiety and worries about being able to afford the treatment. Dr.Zarrella and his staff were fantastic from day one. I have absolutely no anxiety now-there’s never any pain, even when getting the Novocain. Dr. Z is the absolute best as far as that is concerned. They were also able to help me plan care so that it was affordable and manageable in stages, which I greatly appreciated. I’m done now except for routine cleanings and couldn’t be happier. I am pretty new to Dr. Z and could not be happier. I recently broke a temporary crown and he was able to get me in same day to whip up a replacement. I’ve been going to Dr. Z (as he’s known in our house) for over 10 years and have always found his entire staff to be consistently amazing! Two recommendations they made that I feel have been minimal out of pocket expense vs. reward: 1. use a night guard, which has lasted me all 10 years has helped protect the work I’ve invested in, especially redoing crowns 2. Add 3rd cleaning per year —it’s less than my cell phone bill to do, and after 2 years has reduced my sensitivity, so worth it for sure.
