Do yourself a favor and bypass this man. I felt more triggered then help after the 40 minute telehealth appointment we had. I have suffered from Depression and Anxiety for 20+ years off and on. I have been in many of therapy settings but none quite like this. This Doctor took one looked at my very complicated medical history and determine I was not depressed and I also did not have anxiety. Instead I am going through things and feeling down, hopeless, and unhappy were natural responses to my situation. He told me I was over medicated and if I came off of these I would be more mobile and no longer disabled. I have a very rare neurological disorder and that is why I have those troubles. Not because of my mood medications. He talked the entire time and never once ask me any questions about my mental health and what was going on in my life past or present that would have gave him some insight about my mental health. He also removed things from my medical record without my permission and when questioned why he removed Fibromyaglia from my history(which was just one thing removed) he responded because that it was mostly a physiological disorder. I felt judged and like he believe nothing the prior therapist had told him about me. He also told me that depression is when everything in your life is going right and you just fall into darkness. He did not even ask if that scenario fit me or not. What about when I lost my brother to COVID? Was I not depressed about it when I cried all day for 6 months? He told me you should only be on antidepressants for 6 months max....what about everyone, including myself who have been on them for years? Every other psychiatrist is unaware of that "rule'? He had alot of opinions that went against everything I was taught previously about my depression and anxiety. He judged me before we spoke one sentence to each other and he was THE WORST PSYCHIATRIST I HAVE EVER CAME ACROSS! Run away as fast as possible!

Backstory On January 3rd I had a heart surgery. When I awoke I learned my only child, a daughter of 15yrs, committed suicide. I had already had anxiety disorder all my life so you can imagine I'm a wreck. Whats the good doctor say? Anxiety is my friend. On top of it all I learned Friday that when my lease on my appartment ends in March I will be homeless. The new owner isn't signing new leases. Surprise! Had an appointment with his counselor today just to wake up and learn its been canceled. Next available appointment is in 4 weeks. I'll be homeless by then. Thanks alot for nothing "doc".

Dr Wernert saved my life.

I was appalled at how badly he treated me. This man was rude, judgmental, and accused me of being responsible for my own anxiety and depression. He was outright negligent. He was arrogant and disrespectful. He scored me at the highest level for anxiety and close to the same for depression yet offered me zero care options. It was as if I was a bother to him. I left feeling worse. I wish I would have read reviews and looked at his abysmal score before I scheduled an appointment with him. If you are suffering from depression or anxiety, or both, I urge you to get help and I also want to tell you that it is not your fault and never let anyone - even/especially a licensed medical professional - say that it is.

Staff is unfriendly and vengeful. When calling to schedule a new-patient appointment I was asked for confidential information before I could even verify I was in the right place. After explaining I wanted to verify I was in the right place before proving my member ID and DOB the nurse immediately become rude and hung-up on me shortly into the call. Who gives out personal health information to just anyone? Worse, when trying to verify the doctor is even at the location the nurse said she couldn't do that without my member information.

What a pompous jerk. First of all, having sessions over webcam doesn't exactly instill trust in your patients. Second, when session time is lost because of tech problems, be a decent person and provide that additional time at the end of the session; don't end it at the initial end time. Finally, ask more questions. You provided me with a bunch of frivolous information, told me that certain symptoms weren't related to my medications, yet then told me my treatment plan would address those symptoms
