Dr. John C Tackett

Dr. Tackett and his staff are friendly, kind and gentle. They made a bad experience (getting a tooth pulled) as pleasant as it could be for what it was. Highly recommend.

Big shoutout to Dr Tackett and his staff. They did a wonderful job of pulling my tooth today. Very nice, very gentle, would highly recommend Dr Tackett.

This place is a JOKE! I brought my disabled mother to their office last August(2021) because of intense teeth pain and she needed several extractions. We met with Dr.Tackett and explained that she was having EXTREME pain in her lower right back tooth. Alot of her teeth were bad but, that one was causing her tears, lots of tylenol and sleepless nights! We were told she had an infection and had to wait until the antibiotic was finished and then he would proceed with removing that particular tooth and any other teeth that bothered her. The removals were going to be spread out so it would decrease the risk of a new infection and so she wouldn't be in so much pain. She went to her first removal appointment and he literally removed all the teeth on the opposite side. He left the tooth in her mouth that was causing her all the pain. I thought that it would definitely be removed by her 3rd visit but again it was not. I called the office on several occasions and left many voicemails trying to figure out when she would be seen again to get that tooth out. They rarely answer the phone and you can forget them replying to most voicemails. So, here we are in March of 2022 and she FINALLY got seen again but, once again no tooth removal. They said that Dr. Tackett would have to do ANOTHER consult and then go from there. WHY?!?! He just did this 6 months ago and he KNEW then that it needed to come out. I figured at the very least they could give her an antibiotic to help ease the pain from it being infected AGAIN but, it was a no to that as well. Since we chose.to just have her seen by someone else.for future appointments they refused to give her what she needed. Dr. Tackett was extremely unprofessional and so is Rachel Bowen. Her attitude and the way he was speaking was disgusting. I don't advise anyone to go to that office. I've never made a review on anything but, I have to make sure no one else endures this kind of neglectful dental care! Also, if you have any walking limitations this office IS NOT handicapped friendly, you have to park in the street and it's located NEAR the top of an incline. This place is a JOKE! Dr. Tackett is the best oral surgeon around! He’s compassionate, understanding, and his bed side manner is top notch! Would recommend him to anyone!

I had a tooth that was hurting bad. I chipped it in my sleep unfortunately. It got bad enough to where I had to get it removed. I found Dr Tackett which I'd heard good things about and went in there and they literally got me in and out of the with no pain. The staff and Dr Tackett were very nice and professional and made me feel like family. I went in with no insurance and still could afford to get it done. Dr. Tackett is the best around. This town is so fortunate to have such a caring and compassionate oral surgeon in their own back yard. Dr. Tackett has now removed all four of my wisdom teeth, has removed several teeth for my step father, and now has helped my sister with her teeth as well. He is extremely gentle and always calls everyone the same night after they've been sedated just to check and see how they are feeling. I wouldn't let my family members go anywhere else. I've met Dr. Tackett for an evaluation and I can say he is the kindest, compassionate and most soft-spoken Dr I've ever met. He immediately put me at ease for the procedure I will need done. I trust Dr. Tackett 100% with my care. Please go see him. You'll be happy you did.

Dr. Tackett is a very skilled physician. He is soft spoken and very gentle with patients. Our family has had wonderful results from our visits there. I would highly recommend his services. I have heard positive comments by many others from Washington County who came to him.

Dr. Tackett is the best dentist I have ever been to. He is so compassionate and concerned for the comfort of his patients. My husband and I, and 2 of our children have seen him and every time he has truly been compassionate. He is honest, which is very hard to find sometimes. Very good doctor super nice. I had all 4 wisdom teeth removed but I’m disappointed I didn’t get to keep my own teeth.

As a for the simple tooth extraction my wife had done, 5 stars to Dr Tackett and Mrs. Davidson. As for the bill received stating insurance had denied the claim. As a insurance agent of nearly 38 years we called the insurance company to find out why it was denied? Only to be told that it was a simple coding issue and was advised which of the many codes that are covered for the 15 minute procedure. So we called back and spoke with Sally, whom filed the claim, she stated she does not make mistakes and had no interest in correcting the insurance claim. It is very unfortunate Dr Tackett's patients are being treated in this way. In my opinion, Sally's job is to help patients not just push paper with no concern for how to help his patients. As someone who has worked in assisting customers resolve claim issues for 38 years. Very very sad way to be to people Sally! In Dr tacketts defense in this matter, we were unable to get passed speaking to Sally to let Dr Tackett know..... A wonderful experience. Professional and kind.

I went to Dr. Tackett for surgical removal of all 4 wisdom teeth. I have severe dental anxiety and he walked me through every step, gave me very informative aftercare, and even called me the night after my procedure to check up on me. Dr. Tackett removed 2 of my wisdom teeth; bottom left, and then a month later upper right. Both teeth were partially to pretty much fully impacted. I chose to stay awake and it took about five minutes and was painless. I am a naturally anxious person and I found him very reassuring. I also informed him that I have TMJ, and he used a special kind of mouth prop that was comfortable for my jaw. On a scale of 1-10 my pain never got above a 1.5, and that goes for both the procedure and recovery.

Everyone was so considerate, kind, well informed and highly professional. Easily the best experience I have ever had with any doctor.

Very caring and professional Dr. He did a wonderful job removing my son's wisdom teeth and was truly caring and concerned about his recovery. All the staff were very sweet and attentive to my concerns with my son's epilepsy and how it could affect his out come with his oral surgery.

On Tuesday November 29th I had to go on for a tooth extraction, I paid the 390.00 on a credit card for sedation which usually knocks you out cold during the procedure because its quite painful. They did not give me enough sedation. I was awake Wide Awake through the procedure. and In Pain.!!!! The fat lady who was working the suction tube was a bit verbally abusive toward me. She all of a sudden blurted out SIR YOUR LANGUAGE WILL NOT BE TOLERATED!!! Hell I was in Pain!!! All I said Is Im fully Wide Awake.... She said NO THATS NOT WHAT YOU SAID..... She was a B**CH!!! I paid to be knocked out and I wasn't !!! So Now the bank has been called and a Charge back will be filed with the bank! I was not put under Like I should have been and thats what I paid for but did not get.!!!! I highly Recommend going elsewhere!
