Dr. John N Olsofka

Dr Olsafga is very arrogant and Rude. His bedside manner was definitely lacking. I was bruised purple on my abdomen at every cut which was supposed to be a laporscopic surgery but I had big incisions I was in a lot of pain and I’ve had multiple abdominal surgeries this was the worst he sent me home with 12-15 pain pills and naproxen. I called over the weekend to get my pain addressed was told they couldn’t do anything so I went to the office on Monday well the arrogant Dr Olsafga looked at the incisions said you got up on the table good and basically told Me how I should be feeling and like he knew what my body felt like I shouldn’t be in pain he was kind enough to call in more naproxen. Which did nothing. So basically I stayed in pain because he did not listen to what his patient was telling him and basically sent me on my way. If your thinking about using him I would think again. I can’t describe the level of arrogance. They said he’s the best well I guess it’s went to his head, because my experience he was the absolute worst. I would steer clear of this surgeon. These pics are on the way home from surgery. It’s amazing to me that he cut me open applied mesh for a repair, but I was supposed to suffer because he deemed my concerns and pain to be not warranted. WARNING! Do not go to this butcher. Arrogant. Incompetent. Money grubbing. He botched a simple operation. Then tried to fix his mistake. But he didn’t. Since I’ve been in and out of hospital. No appetite. Constant vomiting. Stomach pain. Can’t eat. I’ll be sick the rest of my life while he walks free. All he cares about is himself and how much money he can make. We had just found out significant other had cancer and needed a chemo port put in. This guy didnt spend at tops 10 mins with us and then referred us to someone else anyway. He didn't even consultant with us what was needed or anything. Didn't explain anything. And the guy he was pushing us off to was on vacation and we actually needed the port in ASAP, but that wasn't going to happen. Then he billed for 45-59 mins. What a joke! I have had to move to another surgeon. Apparently everything Dr Olsofka has done is going to have to be redone. So multiple drainage tubes multiple surgeries. Appendix removal in May has turned into a nightmare here it is almost November and i am still dealing with this. Probably will be until January. Absolutely ridiculous. No excuses for the malpractice that goes on in this office. I have had to move to another surgeon. Apparently everything Dr Olsofka has done is going to have to be redone. Dr. Olsofka and his team are amazing. They are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They get you in and out as soon as possible without them rushing. I just had a great experience all around and I'll only go to them for my care.

It was a long road but thanks to Dr O , and his sweet nurse, words of encouragement, we did it, best thing i every did in my life, Best Dr ever

I never thought I'd ever have weight loss surgery but now that I have I'm happy with my results so far ! I didn't have a problem with the staff !!!!!

Dr. O and his staff was wonderful to my mother! We would recommend him to anyone! Thanks to them my mother has a letter quality of life. I want to thank him for giving me and my siblings our mother back!

Made an appointment two weeks in advance for lap band issues only to get there for the staff to tell me that I needed a referral from my physician office. Now mind you that I drive all the way from Lexington Kentucky to Louisville and made the scheduler aware when I made the appointment. Only to have the lady tell me that it was my responsibility to get a referral. Hello.. I wasn’t told that I needed one. So instead of seeing me or trying to fix the problem all she said was I’m sorry. Very ??

This office was "awful" the **worst** "bedside" manner. I would definitely call Kevin Okoon if you need a surgeon. It was a mistake to ever make and appointment With Dr.Olsofka . He made the simplest insicions gigantic, left me marked up. My stomach will never look the same!!!!! As well as making me set in pain with no medications. With over 15 staples in my stomach after the 6th day (with staples still in). Oh and the hospital was disgusting DIRTY and out of date. The anesthesia doctor's was the best and so sweet. Dr Olsofka is a rude mannered and unprofessional person. I went to his office with a absesed cyst I'm my abdominal. I've had many in my lifetime but never experienced the horror and pain I experienced at the hands of this so called doctor. He injected me with a numbing agent at the sight gave no time at all before he sliced my stomach with his scaple. Then began to cut a piece of my skin off with scissors the whole time me screaming I could feel everything. His response to me was it was my fault because I let my cyst get so infected. Not only do I have a horrible scar but also the fear of this happening again at the hand of another doctor. I will not even seek medical attention over my cyst any more because of this man.
