He is an excellent Doctor

Not very compassionate

Dr. McConnell is one of the BEST. He's the type of Dr do as i say or else. He was my husband Dr 2 yrs before his lung transplant in 08, all the way up to his death 2 weeks ago. Dr. McConnell is the BEST.. AND I LOVE the lung coordinator Dawn. If Dr McConnell wanted a patient to have a certain kind of drug he's doing it for your life not for the money.

Dr McConnel was very rude and snarky when I told him I was not going to take medication he prescribed because the 3 medicines caused serious side effects and 2 infectious disease specialists told me they wouldn’t recommend the treatment because my sympathy did not warrant the risks. I would not recommend him . He’s charming when you agree with him but became very surly with me when i tried to explain why I was not going to take the meds.

My husband was a patient of Dr. McConnell. We searched him out as we heard he was a specialist in our area. We'd seen a pulmonologist for pulmonary hypertension & my husband was doing well on Revatio; less shortness of breath, more ability to walk distances, etc. We still wanted a second opinion.Dr. M. ordered tests, & we went back for results. Since then we have been harrassed, called & told we NEEDED a $9,950.00 med. Our visits now are nothing but sales tactics. He's a snake oil salesman. No!!

My husband was seen by Dr. McConnell for pulmonary hypertension. Dr McConnell wanted to put him on a medication regime at the cost of 14,000.00/month. He informed my husband if he did not take the medication he would "be dead in 1-3 years and it would not be pretty." After researching, my husband went to Cleveland Clinic for a second opinion. He is doing very well today and the monthly medication cost is 8.00 vs. 14,000.00. In addition, Dr. McConnell has ZERO bedside manner.
