Very detail oriented, kind, and makes you feel comfortable during your dental work. Would recommend him (& Joanie) to anyone needing work. Hoping to not need to see him again, but won't hesitate if I ever need work again!

Dr. Charletta is a very caring Endodontist. He takes the time to explain what he will be doing and puts you at ease. Throughout the root canal procedure I had no pain. I would highly recommend him to everyone.

Dr. Charletta is the best at what he does. I wouldn't go anywhere else for this type of dentistry. He is caring and clearly explains what needs to be done to fix the problem. His #1 priority is his patients. My wife had work done by him and totally agrees with this. The staff is great too, caring and concerned about your problems. Very helpful and pleasant. I have been a patient of Dr. Charletta since 1999! He has done several root canals for me. My regular dentist recommends that I go to Dr. C for root canals, even though he can do them. I tend to have unusual tooth roots, so as an endodontist, Dr. C has the expertise and equipment to see things my regular dentist can't. I'm not making this up--it's what my dentist told me! I always find it reassuring to know that Dr. C is connected to the Pitt Dentistry School. He knows what he's doing! On a personal level, I find Dr. C and everyone in the office to be very friendly and kind. I definitely recommend Dr. Charletta for serious dental work!

Dr. Charletta is the best! His main concern is his patient. While working on your tooth he makes sure you are comfortable and not having any pain. The staff are caring and friendly. They do a follow up call the next day to check on how you are doing. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Charletta and his staff.

I would recommend Dr. Charletta to family, friends and anyone who needs to have a root canal procedure. Dr Charletta and staff are professional, caring and expert in their field. I just underwent a procedure yesterday and it went smoothly and I am now pain free. I have been a patient before and I am so grateful to have found his practice. Having to undergo dental procedures of any kind make me very nervous yet they keep me calm and that is so appreciated!

If your general dentist prescribes Root Canal Therapy, I highly recommend the office of Dr. John Charletta. It's a smaller, family run office with a home-town, welcoming, vibe. You won't find find a sprawling complex of treatment rooms and an overabundance of staff. You will find an Endodontist who is very patient, informative and thorough. He took his time to explain the whole procedure then meticulously performed my rather complicated procedure over two visits. The Doctor's wife, Joni, is also his dental assistant and it was truly amazing to see how well they work together. Dr. Charletta mentioned that he attended Pitt Dental School and even though he graduated years ago, is still very involved with the school, dedicating his time and sharing his experience with the up and coming dentists of the world.

This guy went to EXTREMES to save a tooth that presumably couldn't be saved. That was 15 years ago, and the tooth was restored - COMPLETELY. Can't go wrong with Dr. Charletta.

2/27/2020 short notice appointment with regrets but understanding. Dr Charletta and his outstanding Assistant Joanie did a great job. The total root canal was postponed and partial Therapy was rendered. ( pain relief with savings) Dr Charletta noticed the tooth was fractured and needed extracted saving me the total cost of the root canal. That’s being honest and thank you for restoring my faith in humanity. BTW my dentist mentioned the other guys would have taken the total amount and called it a day. BTW, I decided on an implant. Went to Dr Charletta years ago for a root canal. Root canal was not done right, ended up with abscess, lost all my teeth on both sides as bone deteriorated. Have had problems for years. Wish I would have chosen someone else!!

Dr. Charletta and his staff are the very BEST!! I was extremely nervous about my appointment, however from the moment I walked into the office and was greeted by Lisa, I was put at ease. Lisa, Joni, and the doctor were so friendly and welcoming. Dr. Charletta took his time with me and explained things so that I had a clear understanding of what was happening with my tooth. I was treated as an individual, not as another patient on an assembly line. I will be forever grateful for their care
