Rude and not interested in patient

No, I would not recommend her. My visit, for the most part, was unpleasant. Dr. Gentner did not explain my test results, nor offer recommendations on allergy shots or avoidance of irritants. She seemed impatient and had a condescending demeanor. Her time was given to dis-proving a food sensitivity test I had 2 years ago that I had only brought up in passing. The allergy test, by nature causes irritation, but no effort was made to make me warm or comfortable. Neither the doctor nor her assistant were pleasant or friendly. It was a very unnerving experience, and I plan to switch to another doctor.

She disregarded my concerns and made me feel uncomfortable. There are several others with my condition who sought treatment and had negative experiences. Dr. Gentner is someone I would avoid

Very quick to get in for my initial appt. to do testing and assessments. Literally took 2 days. Staff is incredibly sweet and the office is clean. I like their system of seeing patients in a timely, efficient manner. Also i love the education provided and the several opportunities to ask questions. Only complaint is that I felt a tad embarrassed and judged for admitting I am a smoker

Dr. Genter listened and was so kind. She is very professional.

I noticed that she always inform me about procedures that I have to do, any changes to medicines are discussed and she actually listens to me. I have nothing but nice things to say about her, awesome doctor.

Jennifer is a terrific doctor. She found a serious illness due to a blood test she administered that I would never have known about. I would strongly recommend her to anyone needing an allergy doctor. David Duvall (patient of Dr. Gentner).

I have seen Dr. Genter for over 7 years. She has made such a difference in my allergies. Dr. Genter always takes the time in her office and answers all your questions. You never feel rushed. Her support staff is exceptional as well. This is the place to go if you are having trouble with your allergies.

Dr. Getner is very thorough when it comes to allergy testing and caring for my family’s needs. I trust that she and her staff are doing everything they can to give our family comfort from allergy related symptoms.

I want to express my sincere appreciation for the quality of care received at ADVANCED ENT and Allergy. Dr. Jennifer Gentner was thorough, knowledgeable and addressed all of my concerns. She was observant when pointing out the possibility of my overlapping prescriptions. I highly recommend this courteous and professional provider.

Terrible bedside manner. Ignored my concerns for my child. Literally laughed at me when I asked questions!!!!!

She is not familiar with mast cell disorders nor is she interested in learning about it. My child was having hives, severe facial swelling, flushing, anaphylaxis... yet her skin test was normal and chronic urticaria were normal. I brought up mast cell due to my family history and she tested my child’s tryptase which was normal. She said it can’t be mast cell due to the normal tryptase! A year of my child going into reactions requiring several hospitalizations and 66 missed days of school, Dr Geneter tells me “some kids tend to be red and swell. You need to learn to live with it.” That was it! Never went back. My child’ new doctor tested her urine and it was very high in N methylhistmine and prostaglandin f2a on 5 separate occasions over a years time. Without a doubt, she has mast cell. She is not familiar with mast cell disorders nor is she interested in learning about it. I took my daughter to see her. She had horrible bedside manner with her and myself. She was very short with explanations and did not build any doctor/patient relationship. She may be better with adults, but I definitely do not recommend her for children.

It’s been about a year since we stopped seeing her but we were told to leave an honest review from a current patient and friend. Office is kind of older but very clean. Dr came in timely. And did listen but it seemed like she really didn’t care. My little boy is a complex case. We left and found another doc and he has cutaneous mastocytosis confirmed by a biopsy. They think something else is wrong but I don’t what it is. Waiting on urine labs to come back from another state... take like 2 months to come back. The new doc is Dr McCubbin. She’s great!! Great dr, sent me for a battery of tests to find out what is going on. Asks lots of questions to get an accurate overview of what is going on. Would definitely recommend her.

Dr. Gentner is a very professional yet friendly and kind doctor. She has always been willing to listen to me about any of my medical issues and try to help me in anyway that she could. I would recommend anyone to go see her. She is the main and only reason I go to this practice.

Not a good physician. She doesn’t listen to the patient and has a “im smarter than you” god complex. And she misdiagnosed me!!! So thankful for the new doctor I’ve found who tested me and found my true illness which is being treated now!! Maybe she doesn’t know anything more than typical allergies and can’t handle the rare allergic disorders? I don’t know... she was just hateful toward me.

She is not familiar with mast cell disorders. My child saw her for about a year for unexplained allergy issues, hives, severe swelling, anaphylaxis. She told us mast cell can’t be the problem because her tryptase is normal... After several hospital admissions, we found a new doc! The new doctor tested her urine on 5 separate occasions and it was very high in N methylhistmine and prostaglandin f2a each time! And she told me some kids tend to swell and be red, learn to get used to it!
