Good luck getting past the rudest receptionists I have ever dealt with. Called 3 weeks ago for a colonoscopy, I was told I was supposed to send my records, the receptionist gave an email address. I have sent the records, no reply. I sent the records again last week, no reply. I called and the receptionist (who sounded like the same person) told me I was lying. I assume they have too many patients.

Great experience. The office staff, the nurses, the anesthesiologist, and Dr Eskind were all super friendly and really made me feel at ease during my first colonoscopy. They followed up with me the next day just to see how I was doing. I highly recommend this office. David W.

Had my best friend who had recently a major complicated spinal surgery. Her Neurosurgeon recommended she have an Endoscopy procedure, as she was having difficulty swallowing as well as a gurgling sound not to mention the coughing. Upon witnessing my the manner in which this physican's staff including "the one scheduler," being utterly disrespectful, extremely abrasive, and frankly the most rude staff (one exception,) was a staff member named Carrie, it was absolutely astounding to see the lack of professionalism! My friend had been a long-time patient of of Dr. Grande who before retiring, worked tirelessly and showed both expertise in this field of medicine and a remarkable sense of respect and compassion for his paients!. To our amazement...this office certainly is NOT even close to having the much needed compassion and respect toward the patient! No I nor my friend could ever possibly with good, honest conscience remotely recommend this physician and his office to ANYONE! Know before you go with the best advice we could offer, get an opinion from a long trustworthy friend and probably even better to have a PCP whom is liked and trustworthy recommend someone who actually is competent as well as there to serve the patients needs with compassion and loyalty to treat them as ANY patient deserves to be treated! Respect for the patient is quite vital to ever becoming an accomplished, professional in every field, certainly in medicine. Absolutely would never recommend this physician or staff, get wise advice prior to going to this office, period. Having stated the above, please read the other patient reviews. My friend's husband and herself came to the conclusion that she should see someone else in this field who actually shows respect and gratitude, with the people skills to listen and respect the patient. Appointment w/ Dr Eskind. He was great! He listened to all my problems and was very attentive. The advice he gave me was perfect & my prescription has made me feel well. I would recommend to anyone! I will definitely return to him.

The first time I went to see him and he did a procedure but when i went back to see him he was derisive, condescending, rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional. He tried to tell me that my symptoms were impossible... That was several years ago. His name came up recently and I remember the unpleasant experience.

WOW I wish I had read the reviews before seeing this man. What an absolute nightmare! I've been sick with a strange vomiting/nausea condition for the past month and was excited to finally figure out what has been going on... Not so. I gave him lots of detailed information despite his constant interruption and abrasive manner. He waved off everything, saying it was probably a virus (despite it being intermittent, not contagious, no chance of pregnancy, and no fever) and that I spend too much time on the Internet. He told me, "My dad and his dad were doctors before we had all this fancy imaging but they still saw people through." What a dangerous attitude for a modern physician! Their patients probably died regularly of dysentery! This man is stuck in the 50s. He called me sweetie and placed his hand on my knee at one point, and held eye contact far below my eyes. He gets off on telling people they don't know what they're talking about. If I wanted a strange man to gaslight me for an hour, I'd go on a date. Who hurt you, Jeffrey? Dr Eskin and his staff were excellent to me.

Dr. Eskind was sweet and good to me, he is a great doctor.

Dr. Eskind was able to squeeze me in to an appointment after my UC flared up during pregnancy. I was absolutely miserable, and he was so patient and took the time to ask lots of questions. He was able to work with me over several days to prescribe medication that my OBGYN would agree to. I would highly recommend him to anyone suffering from GI issues. Excellent care. Dr. Eskind was gave me all the time I needed and answered all questions. He picked up on my problem right away. Extremely pleased with his care.

The only reason that this is a one star review is because the ratings don’t allow me to rate him in the negatives. He was very rude and condescending. When asked about why I was there, he replied that he didn’t know. When I told him the issue, he said, and I quote “Well, I don’t care.” He was too concerned with other health issues I have instead of dealing with the one I specifically went to see him about—offering his opinions in fields that he does not specialize in. He constantly talked over me and threw various profanities at me. He then started to argue with me, claiming I stated different things when I didn’t—claiming that I “won’t get to sue him and that he’ll take care of that.” The staff that worked for him seemed very stressed as well in addition to the various communication issues observed. It seemed that he was also attempting to criticize my previous doctor—the best doctor I had ever had to this date—which is very unprofessional and immature. I definitely will not be returning to this doctor and will/have recommend this to my peers. Dr Eskind almost cost me my life. I almost died as a result of a disease progressing to the point of near-fatal, due to Dr Eskind writing me off as "drug seeking". I never once asked him for pain killers. I complained about a lot of pain, because I was in a lot of pain and only ever asked him to tell me what was wrong. He refused to order a CT scan for me, but was just fine to do 3 EGDs and 3 colonoscopies. After waking up from an upper+lower, in recovery, Dr Eskind raised his voice to me with my family in the room and told me "he was at the end of his rope with me and there was nothing wrong with me and he was tired of me wasting his time". Two months later I had a cyst rupture and was in ICU barely hanging on to life, after this Dr berated me and reported to my PCP that I was a liar. If only he would've ordered the CT scan I had asked for, I could've avoided 4 cysts and major surgery where I had 4 organs removed and 16" of intestines. Nothing would have ever had to get as bad as it did without the negligence of Dr. Eskind. He doesnt listen to his patients who are begging him to save their life. He is the worst GI Dr I've ever seen and he's lucky I don't sue him for medical malpractice. He is a bad person and a bad doctor and deserves to lose his license. 0/10 would not recommend. Dr. Eskind is obviously very knowledgeable, but seemingly insensitive. He spoke faster than I could answer his questions and then seemed irritated with me for not explaining things well. He was also more worried about the liability in me not getting another colonoscopy than he was caring for my feelings. Maybe he was just having a bad day, but I’ll be changing doctors. The nurse is wonderful and has always done whatever she can to help me. I still remember her from 2 years ago.

I went to Dr. Eskind solely based off of reviews. I had a terrible experience. First visit, he spent less than 10 minutes with me. I felt like he was rushing the whole time. EGD went fine. He changed my meds and started new ones that didn't work. Took them 2.5 days to respond with new meds after multiple calls. Bill came in, he charges double what other Dr.'s charge. Before insurance discounts, it was $3200. After discounts, I owe $1500. I only paid $700 with my last GI dr.
