She does not communicate well. She doesn’t listen or answer questions. She talks very quickly. I had top surgery. My nipples do not look right at all. They are also not in the right place. If you can go out of state, do it! There are great doctors outside of NM. I wish I would have gone out of state.

So unhappy with the reconstruction she did after my mastectomy. I have to get it redone by another surgeon. Avoid her at all costs.

Poor quality of care. I hate my breasts after the reconstruction she did and need more surgeries to fix what she has done. Not a good communication with this Doctor. Avoid at all costs.

Approx. 20 years ago Dr. Shimanek did a breast reduction for me. She did an excellent job. My breasts looked perfectly shaped and even had sensation, which I was told might not happen.

I HAD SKIN REMOVAL A FEW MONTHS AGO WITH DR. SHIMANEK. I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE RESULTS!!! THE DOCTOR WAS VERY INFORMATIVE AND CARING! I WILL REFER MY FRIENDS TO HER! GREAT JOB! After my weight loss surgery, I was left with a lot of excess skin around my stomach area. She did an excellent job of removing all the skin. I had lipo done also. I was also pleased with those results! Thank you Dr. Shimanek!!!! If I need to I will come back to her again!!

I had a breast augmentation done by this doctor about five years ago. The results were very strange looking. So much so that I regretted ever getting my breasts done. I felt deformed and insecure. After saving up I am finally able to fix Dr. Shimanek's work with another surgeon. I was much more careful in picking a reputable doctor this time.

Difficult office staff communication issues- takes two to three calls to get an issue conveyed and addressed. Doctor has very "quirky" communication herself. Wholly underwhelming care.
