Dr. Speer is by far the rudest, most arrogant doctor I’ve ever encountered. I’m currently searching for a new primary doctor for my elderly mother. He has very little patience and a habit of making his patients as well as the family members feel small when explaining the reasoning for the visits. The very first time I went to an appointment with my mother, I brushed his behavior off and considered, “maybe I’m just overthinking” but the last couple of times, I know for a fact that I’m not overthinking. Today I fought back tears from the way he spoke to my mother and I, making me feel like an ignorant child. I was truly embarrassed. Anytime we need documentation or consent through the doctor for insurance purposes, he acts as though it’s a bother to him and also as though he has no idea what you’re trying to explain followed by smart alec responses. His body language and facial expressions speak just as loud as his arrogant verbal responses. The nurses and receptionist are the only warmth and kindness you feel from the entire office.

For those with Tricare (military), find a different PCM. If there is ever an issue with Tricare’s system they will refuse to see you. I’ve had this happen twice (only 2 times I’ve needed to go to a doc in the last 1-1/2 years). Wound up just going to an urgent care.

My mom was sick 3 weeks. Nothing was done till I took her to er. She almost died. Had to have emergency surgery. Don't go unless you wanna die. He is terrible and the nurse practitioner in the office is terrible too!

I'm so happy I found Dr. Speer. Dr. Speers is always Attentive,Very intelligent, And always make you feel welcome and that you are the only patient that he has.His staff is absolutely wonderful also.The is hardly and wait. I always recommend my family and friends to dr. Spears office.

You never have to spend all day there and he listens too his patients. He also has a good bedside matter.

Staff TERRIBLE. Find another Doctor!!! Had an issue with my insurance not showing correctly, and was told by the desk lady that I would NOT be seen until I could PROVE I had insurance. I’ve been going to this place for 3 years and have never not had insurance and could have proved I did after 8am when the insurance company opened.

I have been a patient of Dr. Speer for over 3 years. He is always professional and willing to listen to any concerns you might have and take steps to further investigate if needed. I have never had to wait long to see the doctor. I think the staff is also very professional.

I had a 315 appointment I walked in with my mask on reg at the desk and set down a nurse come in asked if she had got my temp I said no she said get up and go back outside I did she could have took my temp their i had already got in she came out and started taking others temp I left and called back and told them just to cancel my appointment they was very disrespectful. I'm not cattle and will not be treated as such .

Dr Speer is very good. He tries to get ahead of problems. He is very understanding and compassionate. I would recommend him to anyone.

I see Dr. Spear at this office and he along with the whole staff always go out of their way to make sure you are seen as quickly as possible with or without an appointment- I've never had any issues or concerns here and even when I call in for different things the nurses and office staff are always very helpful and take care of any issues without making me feel like I'm bothering them- I've dealt with that in the past but never here. I'd recommend this practice for sure. Wait time is terrible. I always wait more than 45 minutes to be seen WITH a scheduled appointment. Staff is friendly, doctors are nice, but the wait time is the worst for no reason! The waiting room is never “packed” out but I wait so long!

We have been to him twice and had great experiences both times. The first time Dr Speer was able to diagnose that the problem was my son’s appendix so we were able to quickly get him to the hospital (and he was correct, his appendix had ruptured). Office staff never even acknowledged that I walked up, they were too busy playing on their phones. This was my third visit, and sadly this was the case all three times. Dr Speer is lovely, but I will be looking for a new doctor, office staff can make or break or break ya.

I find D.r Speer to be the best physician/health doctor I've visited in Alabama when it comes to doctors who accept Medicaid! And if you have to do surgery or neurological work he sends a recommendation right away and finds a doctor who accepts medicaid in that field! Very good at explaining and a bright personality!

Ive been a patient of Dr Speers for over a yr now. He is a very intelligent doctor but he has absolutely no care or concern for his patients. He always seems like seeing you is a big inconvience for him and when you voice your opinions and your concerns about your health and care he dismisses you very quickly and makes you feel inferior because hes the one with the medical license. I always leave feeling like I have no opinion or choice in my own health care. Im currently searching for a new Dr.
