I had DIEP breast reconstruction after a double mastectomy. Very happy with the results!!!

In my case, a clerical person/office manager, with no medical qualifications of any kind, was allowed in the room to watch pictures being made of my breasts. In a separate appointment, a clerical person was, again, allowed in the room to watch pictures being made of my vulva in various positions. At no time did anyone ever ask my permission or even how I felt about this. When a clerical person was allowed in the room for a second time, I finally objected and this secretary haughtily replied "I will leave but I am not closing the door." The door REMAINED OPEN and I was left in a helpless position and felt humiliated and degraded. Anyone walking by could have seen me with my legs spread. Yes, I should have left immediately. Please always be prepared to advocate for yourself. You should also understand that everyone here wears medical scrubs and no identification, including clerical staff, very disingenuous.

Dr. Wendel is an excellent plastic surgeon. I drove over 100 miles each way to see Dr Wendel. He did reconstructive surgery on my foot. The end result is nothing less than miraculous. Dr Wendel did for me what no dr in Huntsville , Alabama could do. I’m forever grateful for him. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr Wendel, in fact I already have. He and his whole staff are very professional and top notch!!

I am so thankful for Dr. Wendel and his staff! I had a breast augmentation performed in Memphis three years ago, and was very unhappy with my results. The surgeon was very nice and talented, but he did not listen to my concerns. Dr. Wendel not only took time to listen to my concerns but he also validated them as well. In the spring Dr. Wendel traded out my implants for smaller ones, and I could not me more pleased. Thank you Dr. Wendel for taking wonderful care of me.

I visited the office and was consulted by Paige Hastings, CFNP for hyperpigmentations of my face. She lasered the deep and superficial pigmented areas with excellent results! I am extremely satisfied with Paige and the office staff as a whole. Convenient location as well.

Dr. Wendel is an excellent and caring surgeon...highly recommended by other healthcare professionals as well. His staff is wonderful too. I would not hesitate to encourage anyone considering cosmetic/reconstructive breast surgery to see Dr. Wendel.

I had a breast augmentation three years prior to meeting Dr. Wendel. For three years I was unhappy with my results. The first surgeon did not listen to my wishes. Dr. Wendel not only helped me ocomplish my goals, but he validated my disappointment with the outcomes of my first augmentation. Four months post-op, I am so thankful I went to Dr. Wendel for my implant exchange. Not only am I so happy with my results, I finally have the result I sought three years ago! Hands down, best surgeon!!!

breast reconstruction after mastectomy for breast cancer

I had triple negative breast cancer and opted to have bilateral mastectomy and breast reconstruction. This road to recovery avoided radiation, but required visits to Dr Wendel every three weeks. Every encounter was exceptional! Minimal wait time, yet each person took their time to answer all of my questions. While this process was no walk in the park, Dr Wenel and his staff gave me confidence, calmed my fears, and eased my pain along this journey. As an added bond, I had a face lift! Beautiful

Dr. Wendal was very kind, compassionate and knowledgeable about the procedure I had done. In the first session I had with him, he used a lazer to remove the tattoo I had for many years. There wasn't any pain, and it only took 10 seconds! I was impressed with him and his staff and will definitely recommend him to others.
