I had an ingrown toenail and I was so scared about getting it removed. I was talked through the whole process and it took 30 minutes. The doctor only clipped the sides of the nail that were buried in my skin and he burn the root of the nail with lazer I will not have this problem again . I was in and out and my foot feels so much better and I was scared for nothing I will definitely come back geat doctor and very professional. Like

As far are the medical services go, they're great. Got the job done. However, this doctor's services are extremely overpriced. Regardless, after being told the amount I owed I told the receptionist to send me a bill via postal mail in 1/2019. 9 months later (in 9/2019) I received a call for a debt collector on behalf of this doctor. I never received a bill from this doctor's office, never received a phone call from them during the last 9 months trying to collect payment, and then they sent me to a debt collector. IT IS ILLEGAL TO SEND AN INDIVIDUAL TO A DEBT COLLECTION AGENCY WITHOUT GIVING THEM PRIOR NOTICE THAT YOU ARE GOING TO DO SO. When I called the office to notify them I did not receive a bill for my 1/2019 visit I was told by the receptionist "my system said the bill was generated and I can't control if you get the bill or not". I asked why no one picked up the phone to ask if I had received a bill in February, or March, or May, or June, or July, or August before sending me to a debt collector? I was told by the receptionist "Are you done speaking now?"... Worst doctors experience I have had with extremely unprofessional, unhelpful, and unknowledgeable staff. Highly do not recommend. As far are the medical services go, they're great. Got the job done. However, this doctor's services are extremely overpriced. Regardless, after being told the amount I owed I told the receptionist to send me a bill via postal mail in 1/2019. 9 months later (in 9/2019) I received a call for a debt collector on behalf of this doctor. I highly recommend this doctor. Himself and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I had my hammer toe surgery and I’m very happy with the results.

My experience there was great! The receptionist was amazing, very kind and the doctor was so sweet and willing to listen to everything I had to say. I would definitely recommend them!

The receptionist was very kind but the doctor himself was rude I was explaining everything I knew isms he would roll his eyes and make faces when I didn't know something. Very disrespectful if you ask me also over the phone the told me that they covered orthodics and when I got there they told me that they would be 530 something dollars soul the information they gave me did not match what they told me when I got there I was very upset because it was basically a waste of time for me to go there I would not recommend going to this doctor The receptionist was very kind but the doctor himself was rude I was explaining everything I knew isms he would roll his eyes and make faces when I didn't know something. I must say that Dr. Velarde is a great foot doctor! He knows what he is doing and gets to the root of the problem! My biggest problem with his office is the main secretary! SHE HAS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE AND NASTY ADDITUDE! She acts like she owns the office and Dr. Velarde time! She is arrogant and unprofessional in every way possible! My mother had to call her multiple times to get some paperwork faxed to our disability company and this lady threatened my mom saying that the Dr. Would not see her if she didn't pay the balance! Granted the Dr was getting paid through the insurance and my mom was only getting 60% of her pay! All in all this office without that secretary would be spectacular but with her there it's not worth the stress and headache this woman will cause you!
