THIS IS A PILL PUSHING DOCTOR!!! SEROQUEL IS UNDER NUMEROUS LAW SUITS AND HE GAVE IT TO MY 94 YEAR OLD MOTHER ANYWAY!! SHE'S 200LB DIABETIC HEART VALVE READY TO QUIT ON HER AND HE GAVE IT ANYWAY 2 DAYS AFTER BEING RUSHES TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM AFTER SHE FELL!! THE NURSERING HOME SHOULD FIRE HIM IMMEDIATELY!! I WILL SUIT HIM!!!

I used to be your patient. At first I thought you were a great Dr. Then you had me on a barrage of so many medications and I started to gain weight even though I couldn't swallow food. You treated me like a liar like I was closet eating and at even though I was maybe 20pounds overweight you recommended a fat doctor Dr Manessis who was at least 300 pounds. How can he tell me to lose weight when he can't eat right. BY then you infuriated me so much and when I stopped talking all the unnecessary medications you prescribed within months I went down to 105. You made me fat. And I wasn't even that fat. You also spoke about other patients to me. Violating their privacy. I wont go on because if I tell those stories I will get you sued and you have a family. You recommended gastric bypass. I was 100 pounds less than what is needed to qualify. I was not that fat. Only 10 pounds over normal. Im actually 5"4 you incorrectly had me as 5"2. But i guess you enjoy making people feel bad about themselves. You get a kick out of it. In mount sinai they had on the record a prescription of oxycodone from you in the prescription database. You never once gave me pain medicine. From where? You are very lucky I let this go and I made them take it off my record but I wonder how that got there. You never had compassion for me when I had pain even after I had several surgeries. Think very hard before you don't believe a patient when they say they dont eat. Look at the meds you prescribe or overperscribe. Because you were my problem the entire time. You made me more sick. And maybe what I say will help you pay better attention or maybe you are so arrogant you don't care. I hope its the former and not the latter. And if you did anything in my name feel lucky I didn't report it. Naxt time you might get caught. I used to be your patient. Horrible, Unprofessional Doctor! As part of Northwell's segregated care of Medicaid patients, I was sent to this office to see James Melis for what was supposed to be an annual physical. The wait was about one hour, and the appointment was a total waste! I literally had to ask Melis to place a stethoscope to my heart, check glands, check reflexes, etc. He felt is was beneath him to do a prostate exam so I never had one. He also refused to call back to discuss blood results!

Dr. Melis is worth the wait. He has been helping me tremendously with my condition over several years and so has the friendly staff. I don't know if I'd be alive without Dr. Melis!!! Call backs and paperwork may get take time but that's with anything. Be patient and stay on top of things.

My big issue,was with the staff who worked in the back.After waiting 15 minutes to have someone come in for my EKG, I I found three young women chatting away Only after my inquiry,did someone come in to do the EKG.When the technician applied all the leads,she pulled out her cell phone,and only when the EKG didn't start,did she realize she didn't connect everything.After the study was completed she didn't remove the leads;she stood at the foot of the table and YANKED them off. I'm done.No apology

My experience in the office has not been a pleasant one . My appt was 9:15. They called me into the room at 10:00 and waited another 20 mins for the doctor. This waiting time in the office is not only dr melis but most of the doctors there .next issue with that office is that the doctors have nurse call you with blood results regardless the results .who do you ask if you have a question The Nurse? asked 4 xs for dr to call me no call back but Not only Melis most dr s in office do same

Personal I recommend dr.Melis excellent and very helpfully Likelihood of recommending to family and friends five stars definitely.

Very informative! Takes his time with each and every patient. Gives you insight on any questions you may have.
