Dr. Johnson is great! I have been treated by him for almost 20 years and found him to be very caring and always willing to explain any treatment or procedures completely. One thing that I really appreciate is the fact that he looks for ways to treat conditions without surgery. Dr. Johnson and his entire office are friendly, caring and extremely professional. I have been a patient for at least 10 years, and they have helped me with many arthritis issues. I highly recommend them!

Good job helping my mother with her sore knees and back. VERY happy. Brilliant Doc with superior diagnostic skills (correctly identifying the problem is often 80% of the battle) and excellent bedside manner "to boot." Cannot go wrong with this guy, he is as good as it gets.

Dr. Johnson and the team at ASM are THE BEST in sports med! Years of wear-and-tear from playing multiple sports through high school and regularly running long distances after that, really caught up to me in my mid-thirties. Both of my knees, in particular, began to swell and ache after only short, low impact exercise (even brisk walks), making high intensity exercise nearly impossible. After 3 years of nagging pain and deteriorating mobility, I decided to see a specialist. I chose Dr. Johnson, as I knew he has worked with olympic athletes and heard many people refer to him as 'the best'. During my first appointment, Dr. Johnson, along with Lizzie and Kyle, spent a great deal of time listening, examining various movements, and honing in on what they believed was the issue. It was determined that velcro bands around my knees during exercise and strength training exercises for supporting muscle groups (which they demonstrated in-office and gave me handouts for) would most likely help. I admit, I was skeptical at first - my injuries seemed so much more complex than a simple fix. But with my knee bands and a new pair of sneakers, I decided to give a HIIT workout a shot. I can't tell you pleasantly surprised and absolutely over-joyed I was to find I had NO PAIN WHATSOEVER during or after the workout. I was able to perform sets I hadn't been able to in years - it was unbelievable! Now, three months post-appointment with daily exercise under my belt, I have so much more strength and mobility overall - it's crazy. I feel great and I'm working my way toward the best shape I've ever been in my life. Dr Johnson is amazing! He listens, is supportive and respectful. He does everything he can to help with pain. I am also so impressed with the entire staff. Dr. Johnson and his staff have kept me on my feet in the funeral business for several years. They embrace one of President Teddy Roosevelt’s beliefs, “People don’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care”.

I have Proximal Hamstring Tendinopathy ~ I have tried everything, now Dr. Johnson is giving me PRP injections. PRPP injections work ~ it is a healing process. I had 2 injections in the left side and one injection on right side. Dr. Johnson is a great doctor ~ so easy to get alone with. His staff is great. He is on White Bridge Rd. in Nashville, TN now.

Dr Johnson is the best sports doctor in Nashville, in my opinion. He’s treated my varied running injuries over the years and has always gotten me back on my feet. Clinical skills and bedside manner are always on point!!

My kids and myself have seen Dr. Johnson over the years for sports injuries and have been very impressed and pleased each time- so caring, so knowledgable - highly recommend.

Dr. Johnson was very attentive to my concerns and very thorough throughout his exam. He was accommodating to my needs and accurately diagnosed and treated me. I would highly recommend for a sports medicine specialist!

I saw Dr. Johnson last year for my knee. His office and clinic staff were all very kind, helpful, and professional. It was very easy to schedule an appointment, and they were able to get me in quickly. Dr. Johnson was very informative and thorough with his evaluation and treatment. My knee has felt great since.

I loved my experience at Elite Sports Medicine and specifically with Dr. Johnson. He takes time getting to know his patients and he makes them feel at ease. He is very personable, he listens to all of my concerns, and he is compassionate with his care. If you are needing a doctor for any sports medicine needs I would highly recommend Dr. Johnson. His staff is also friendly and prompt. His nurses have always responded to my calls quickly and have taken the time to get to know me as well!

My daughter is a performance athlete and has recently suffered from a lower back injury due to over usage and the sheer act of the game. She had been seen at Elite in the past for other injuries and this was the first time seeing Dr Johnson. He did a wonderful job helping her understand her injury, demonstrating on a spine model the placement of her injury and then allowed her to see her x-ray and MRI. His nurse was very timely in returning calls & communicating to us between appointments.
