Dr. James Allen Dicke

Horrible. Waited for six months for an appointment because there were no openings. Went to go to it.... Canceled on me the day before. Rescheduled. The day of my appointment again... Said he has to reschedule. This is so unprofessional, ive been waiting a year to get services for an personal issue and this is how he treats the trans community. Keeps rescheduling them!

Tried to get appt on line through the website. They had me call them to schedule it, put me on hold for 15 minutes then told me they don't schedule appts for him. Called his office. He's booked 'til March 2022. Waste of time.

absolutely the most caring doctor i have ever been to. always gives you all the time you need with him.

I am extremely disappointed with this practice. I waited over 2 months to get an appointment at this facility. The appointment went really smooth and everyone was nice. Then I had my blood work done.... That was about a month ago. I have yet to receive a call back even after my numerous phone messages. My medication needs to be readjusted. Great staff always courteous, professional and kind. Dr Dicke has been my Doc for years. I highly recommend him and the staff.

He is very thorough. He listens to what you have to say, he explains things so you understand. He cares about his patients. He's Great.

My husband & I have been patients of Dr.Dicke for well over 20 yrs. He is an excellent physician, never rushes you & takes the time needed to provide excellent care. His staff, most of whom remained with his practice when he moved to Pa., are all very competent & friendly. Definitely, a plus for residents of Hanover.

I am an MEN2a & FMTC patient, a rare genetic condition most doctors have little or no experience with. I feel blessed to have found a specialist like Dr. Dicke so that I don't have to make the day-long trips to Hopkins just for monitoring and any time I have an issue Dicke's office gets me right in. Even when my pain is not answered by his expertise (cause of other health issues), I feel heard and cared for by the doctor and his nurses. Thanks! Updating & removing a star after almost a year later because I feel a huge neglect after seeing my lab test results come back 2 weeks ago with some concerns and have not heard from the doctor or office despite having called and left several messages. I understand things get busy, but this might be easier if my blood work orders were sent PRIOR to my appointment so that the doctor can pay attention to that when I'm there. It feels like a wasted copay and appointment when he can't even take the time to discuss my levels with me and update my prescription. Thank God I had even called to check on the time of my appointment the day before because come to find out he wasn't going to be in the office for the time I had scheduled (months before) and they fit me in the next day instead. It makes me feel very expendable, thinking of unloading the burden from this doctor and trying to find another in the area. It's unfortunate because I do like the doctors expertise and personality, specialists are limited. We travel a long way to visit Dr. Dicke. He has an outstanding practice and team.

Dr. Dicke and his staff are the most kind and caring physician's office that I have ever been to. Dr. Dicke takes his time with each patient and shows each patient that they are his priority. He is always positive and makes each patient feel special. He is an amazing doctor and an even more amazing person!

I travel an hour for my visit with Dr. Dicke. I like him that much. Very friendly helpful and informative. Would not have any other.

There truly is no better Doctor than Dr. Dicke! He is so patient, very detailed with his care, listens to every concern and provides answers or looks it up right there, and takes his time. My husband and I both see him and wouldn’t switch for anything. We drive almost an hour and a half to see him and will continue.

Dr.Dicke listened to my concerns, took his time and suggested medication change, very happy he has decided to practice in Hanover PA, will recommend him to anyone I know with thyroid trouble. One staff member was a bit on the rude side.

I have been a patient of Dr. Dicke's for years. He is now moving to Hanover, pa and I will follow him. One of the best doctors I have ever had. Caring, good listener and extremely wise.

A truly gifted physician- good listener, takes time to answer questions and gives great explanations. He is a great diagnostician and is so compassionate. He is a blessing to all who are lucky enough to be his patients. He has been my doctor for over 20 years.

Dr. Dicke has given me amazing care for my thyroid disease and related health issues. He is open-minded re various treatment options and never turns down a reasonable request. I learn something new at every appointment and Dr. Dicke spends as much time as I need answering questions. Great, knowledgeable doctor and a really knowledgeable and caring person.
