Ian Mcmaster

I've been a patient of dr. McMaster at hobble Creek medical clinic for a few years now. I'll keep coming back here as long as I can. The staff is very friendly and competent. Doctor McMaster is always willing to listen to my situation and use his expertise to provide the best care possible.

He's a great doctor. He listens and he understands

Just had a very strange experience with COVID testing at Hobble Creek Medical. Went there for a curbside rapid antigen test, because I have symptoms and someone in my house tested positive. The check-in procedure asks questions about symptoms, which I filled out completely. The results came back negative. But with all the false negatives we're hearing about right now, I asked how long it would be to get results from the confirmation test. The answer was that they don't send the sample from the rapid test in for confirmation, and if I'm having symptoms, I would have to come back to give another sample. I already told them I was having symptoms! I think everybody who's providing COVID testing sends in the sample from the rapid test for confirmation. I don't know why Hobble Creek Medical is doing it different from everyone else, but it seems strange to me. They did not take my medical need to be tested seriously. Additionally, I was taken by surprise when the nurse, who came out to the car and took my sample, said that if the tests came back negative she would come get me so I could come in and be seen by the doctor. I wasn't planning to be seen. I just came for the testing, being prompted by the sign at the Pace clinic (in the Art City Pharmacy building) that they do curbside testing. When I called the Pace Clinic number, it was answered by Hobble Creek Medical. The whole experience felt like a ploy of some kind to get new patients. Very confusing. My children have gone to Hobble creek medical clinic for years and have never had a negative experience. recently I was seen in the office myself and had a medical assistant named Rebeca give me a vaccine. I was nerves and she was extremely kind making me feel much better. Thank you Rebeca for being so understanding and patient with me.

My wife and I have been longtime patients. Sometimes he can be direct but that apart of his job. When medically speaking something has to change or be said he will say it.

Had nothing but good experiences with Dr. McMaster over the years. Always willing to work with me on issues, patient and friendly. Gives me the treatment I need every time, and the time to properly diagnose my issues. I find him methodical in his approach to diagnosis and very knowledgeable.

I met with McMaster for the first time today and he was amazing! He listened to me and helped me out of a really dark place. For the first time in a long time I look forward to tomorrow. Seriously thank you! I recommend him to everyone!! And his MA Becka was AMAZING! She was so nice and welcoming. She made sure I was taken care of and even followed up with me after my visit to make sure everything went well and I was taken care of! I went to him for help and openly and honestly explained everything. He acted as if I was lying the whole time and blew me off. Very COLD AND DISINTERESTED. if you don't like being a doctor to all your patients then find a different job!

What 'guy' likes to go to the doctor? Well, me neither. Dr. McMaster was polite. He listened. I felt like he was in my side.

I recently saw Dr. McMaster for a very worrying condition and he did the appropriate tests and referred me an excellent gynecologist. Dr. McMaster has an excellent bedside manner, a wonderful sense of humor and will always put me at ease. I highly recommend Dr. McMaster! Appointments are always easy to schedule, the staff is so friendly and helpful. They obviously love their jobs! Dr. McMaster will always be my primary care physician.

Dr Ian B McMaster is very cold and unfriendly when interacting with his patients. I would not recommend him to anyone. Search for a more reputable doctor such as Dr. Nobuhara in provo.

Our family has had the complete opposite experience with Dr. McMaster. He is a bit shy, but not at all arrogant or condescending. He has always listened to us, and our specific needs, being especially attentive to our thoughts on our own medical care. Dr. McMaster is open to new ideas and alternative treatments, which is difficult to find from someone who graduated from a medical school in the USA. If you are fat, you may have a problem with Dr. McMaster, because he is a bicyclist and a distance runner, so physical fitness is very important to him. If your BMI is too high, he may suggest ways to try a low carb diet, which many in Springville do not want to hear. He listens attentively, while checking what you say on his laptop to make sure he covers everything. Some patients may not be used to technology, but I appreciate it, and his use and knowledge of it in my care. From what I've seen, he wants to hear YOUR input, since it is YOUR medical care. If you won't talk to him, he sees no need to talk to you, is what I've experienced. He is certainly no idiot, as was suggested here. He keeps up on the latest techniques, and has many Spanish-speaking patients, so if his beautiful new office "looks ghetto" to you, that's not his problem, but yours. Dr. Ian McMaster has been great with my family. He is quiet yes, but he really does help. I have been going through quite a lot with my 9yr old and Dr. McMaster has been nothing but patient and understanding. My whole family loves him and we love the brand new, super clean building he is in now :)
