Do Not Go to Dr. Rosenn unless you want to end up in the ER like I did. This office just pumps our prescriptions for people without actually trying to help their patients. I had to go to the hospital twice while taking the medicine they prescribed for my ADHD. When I notified Dr. Rosenn, their advice was literally to "drink Gatorade." I finally went to see a different neurologist (Dr. Macaluso in New Hyde Park) and it turns out the dosages and frequency of medication Dr. Rosenn prescribed was way too high for my body. The only miracle work that goes on in Dr. Rosenn's office is the miracle that he and his nurse practitioners have not gotten someone killed yet.

Dr. Rosenn is always friendly and my son is comfortable seeing him. He takes the time to explain a diagnosis and options for treatment. Best advice that was given to my son to compliment his protocol was effort.

Dr. Rosenn personalized ADHD treatment for my child. He took the time to look at everything - test results, report cards, school admin feedback, and our feedback. He’s very thorough and took all of our concerns into consideration when diagnosing and prescribing. He’s extremely knowledgeable about medications and their potential side effects. I highly recommend his services!

very unpleasant office staff. I called to schedule an appointment for my son with autism and with a "we do not accept that insurance" I was answered by the one who answers the phone... and this that my son was referred by his primary pediatrician to this neurologist... and supposedly the main pediatrician He told me that he had made sure that if they accepted our medical insurance in that place... I really don't even want to call again... I took care of finding another place where they treated me with great kindness... very unpleasant office staff. Staff got me in for a same day emergency appointment for an EEG for my 7 month old. Dr. Rosenn was kind and knew how upsetting it was for me and made sure my daughter got the care/test she needed for a serious condition to be ruled out. Other offices told me the wait for an EEG was 3-4 months. Highly recommend.

I have never encountered ANY of the negative problems that other reviewers have. Amy Cohen MSN, NPP & Dr. Greg Rosenn are the perfect dynamic duo. In fact their office provides a stark difference in care that my son received from his previous provider. I am surprised that this doctors office accepts insurance, as they run like a private care facility. I needed to speak with a provider on a Sunday, and when I called the office I was directly transferred to Dr. Rosenn’s private line directly; he answered and assisted kindly. This office cares about my pediatric sons well being, and his positive progress. I primarily see the lovely Amy Cohen who takes her time to insure my son gets the best possible care. Initially, my son with ADHD had behavioral issues that hindered him learning in school, as he was being a distraction to himself and others. Six months later after seeing Amy Cohen there was a drastic behavioral improvement. One year later after seeing Amy Choen and Dr. Rosenn, my son is able to focus on school and is doing quite well. He is no longer a candidate for Special Education, and is thriving in a General Education classroom. (Something that his school never anticipated as likely.) Amy Cohen is always a listening ear that provides us with guidance and advice on how to handle behavioral issues. She has also recommended a healthy kids cookbook that we use to hide vegetables in my very picky eaters food. I have never had to wait more than 5 mins for an appointment. Making appointments is easy, and the office is clean and well kept. I have never encountered ANY of the negative problems that other reviewers have. Doctor Rosenn did not allow me to speak and/or express my concerns fully. He was condescending and judgmental. I left feeling terrible, like a criminal, looking to take advantage of the system and want school services for my child...when all I want is my child's well being. Also, it was clear to me, that he was making assumptions of what I do as a parent to help my child. He continuously stressed that it was my "job" to help my child with his shortcomings. I'm not questioning his ability as a doctor, but I do question his ability to interact with a parent in a manner that is not accusatory or judgmental as stated before. With that said, my experience with the front desk was very good, the young lady was very nice and helpful.

Doctor is somewhat dismissive but was able to help find my son the proper medication which I am grateful for. Did not make me feel comfortable to ask questions. The REAL issue is with his office staff. Lilian, the receptionist, is horrific. Good luck getting office staff to check emails, fax, answer the phone, send a prescription request or just be kind in general. Every request is met with hostility and it is exhausting. Do NOT recommend.

Please save your self time time and aggravation and just dont start with this office. Been coming here for 2 years..the last few visits with the dr very long waits even for virtual appointments. For a brief few mins, nothing changes. He just gives you the same refills but does not really listen, in a rush to move on to the next. Dr. Rosenn has turned my sons life around. He is a wonderful and caring doctor who takes time with his patients. We have been working with him for two years and has helped my son tremendously. Yes there is sometimes a wait for an appointment but that is because he takes time to speak to each patient and the parent in depth. I don’t mind waiting for sound advice. Thank you Dr. Rosenn for helping us navigate through many challenges. We would be lost without you!!

Im written the review not for the doctor, but for the attendant secretaries the provided poor quality of service. I asked for medical records, they have me send a document by fax and then ignored my petition. Was until I called that they realized that they said to me 5 years ago is too much time for the documents to be keep in records and although I asked to speak with the doctor or the office manager that the secretary said that the office send a copy to the pediatrician. It’s a lack of respect that they make you do all the procedure and then to not have the courtesy to call. Poor quality of service. And the name of the attendant secretary I believe was Lourdes.

We saw Dr. Rosenn for two years. It was that long because there were too few PedNeuro docs and it took us time to transition to another doctor. Save yourself the hassle and do not start with him in the first place. His staff is terrible - unfriendly, rude have no problem putting you on hold for over 15 min on multiple occasions. When I call to ask for records to be faxed, they put you on hold for 15 minutes and I find it is a 2 hour ordeal to get them to finally send me fax records. And they are so rude and irritated to make you feel scared to call them. Dr. Rosenn is also terrible. He is a very nice person, not overly friendly, but he looks for every opportunity to bill you and this will cause you great inconvenience. The best example, he will bill your insurance and also require you to have forms/questionnaires filled out by teachers, psychologists, etc. on a regular basis so he can bill cash for those forms/questionnaires. Over the course of the same year, if the child has not changed, he still asks you to get the forms filled out so he can bill cash. I found myself begging teacher's. to fill out the forms, even though they kept telling me nothing changed and the form should be filled out yearly instead of quarterly or monthly, depending on the form. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND - Recently, I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Rosenn, for my child as new patient. The office staff were not friendly. They seemed more concerned with the forms being completed and the insurance, then the problem or chief complaint. We waited three months for an appointment. After filling out 3 sets of forms, with paperwork and payment in hand the day of the appointment, the first people I had to deal was the unfriendly and unconcerned for treatment office staff. However, they were very concerned about payment, and did not inform that we would not be seeing the Dr, rather the NP. We did not follow through on the appointment. I can only imagine what would happen if an urgent or emergent case. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND - Recently, I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Rosenn, for my child as new patient. Dr. Roseen will never be seen by my child again. He is too overwhelmed with his practice and flat out rude on numerous appointment. His PA Teri (Terry) is absolutely phenomenal but they have poisonous employees working the front office which is why I hope this practice shuts down. He is lucky I do not file a lawsuit against him for his actions. Be ware of an older cranky doctor who will not listen to your side of anything and only does things his way (because that's always right). GFY, not another penny of mine will go to him

Our experience with Dr. Rosen was very poor, his staff have zero concern for how they act around the patient and their parents, zero disregard and empathy for a parents concerns. As a parent reading a test report that Dr. Greg Rosenn requested for our child and not fully comprehending the report we called his office asking for a call back to discuss the report. When requesting information for a test result on the phone the staff had a very bothered attitude and just kept saying “well that is not how we do things around here, you will have to make an appointment and come in to get your results.” To expect a parent to wait three weeks’ as that was the first appointment available to discuss the results with the Doctor is unacceptable. It is a shame that Dr. Rosen has lost sight of the fact that he is providing a service and that his patients are also customers and can take their business elsewhere. Needless to say it only took me a few minutes to find another Neurologist to take a look at the report and to assure us that everything was fine. Can you imagine waiting for three weeks stressing over a report to find out that there was nothing to be concerned with. All this stress just so that they can charge you for the additional office visit. If you have taken the time to read this I strongly suggest you look for a different Dr. to care for you and your child’s needs. Dr Rosenn came highly recommended by not only my family but also the school district. He has been an absolute lifesaver with my son’s ADHD/ODD. Dr Rosenn did a complete exam including two tests to diagnose my son and stays on top of how the medications are working and his grades in school. He is patient, thorough, and addresses all my concerns- even when I drive him crazy with the same complaint about my son’s weight.

This summer we scheduled an appointment for after my oldest son's prescription would run out. Dr. Rosenn's office called in the renewal without me having to contact him! Dr. Rosenn’s office seems to be the ‘go to’ pediatric neurologist on the Island which is why we began there years ago. I haven’t had the best experience as the office staff is many times rude and impatient and the phone message never takes you where you need to go, just continuously repeats a circle of options which eventually just takes you back to having to hear it over and over again. Dr. Rosenn is a kind doctor who is very smart and doesn't give up on your care. Like any pediatric office there is usually a wait, especially during after school hours. Making appointments in the morning is preferred if you want to be seen faster. The N.P's always return my phone calls. If I happen to get the voicemail as long a

I was referred to Helen Winthrop for my son Michael, Hellen was very attentive to my son and answered all my questions and concerns. The experience which is normally very stressful was very calm. Helen took the time to explain all of my options and what to expect in the following months. I continue to see Helen Winthrop going on two years now. I highly recommend her and the RosennPractice.

This doctor and his office are withholding my son's medical records because they screwed up and billed the wrong insurance company. By the way this is illegal and I am in the process of initiating legal proceedings against them.

Dr. Rosenn is very gentle and patient with our daughter who is on the spectrum. He is never in a hurry, no matter how my questions my husband and I have, he's never too busy to respond. As it relates to her medication, he explains in details the benefits, side effects and if it's tiered, he sends us home with a scale reminding how the medication should be taken. He's absolutely amazing!

I have two boys with ADHD and Dr. Rossen has been seeing them for more than 10 years, since pre-school. My 15 years old, could only function on a self-contained classroom and had a one-on-one aid until 6th grade. Today, he is a pleasant and well educated Honor Roll student, in 10Th grade, and no longer a Special Ed. student. My 9 years old is a sweet and smart little boy, who is a social butterfly, loving and caring. My boys have a great relationship with Dr. Rossen. I will always be Thankfu

Dr. Rosenn is an exceptional neurologist very thorough when it comes to explaining your child's condition. I am very pleased with his work and is not pushy when it comes to medication with your child. He makes sure to test accurately before starting on medication.

My child has been a patient over 10 years. Every 3 months we see either Dr. Rosenn, Helen, Maria, or Terri. They are dedicated, smart, compassionate professionals who truly listen. Dr. Rosenn is a walking medical encyclopedia & was quickly able to diagnose my child's rare co-morbid neurological condition & treat it successfully. In an emergency, you can reach him directly at ANY time of the day. Truly appreciative of the medical care we've received from Dr. Rosenn & his staff. Worth the wait!

Your first impression is of the office staff. Not organized, losing files, messages never get to doctors, once my insurance was not accepted and I paid cash, my claims took 9-12 months for me to be reimbursed. I like the doctors but to deal with the unprofessional office staff is unacceptable and this is why I left the practice.

This guy is great if you want to give him money and never hear from him again. He ordered a slew of blood and urine tests for my 13 month old, and then NEVER CALLED BACK WHEN THERE WERE SEVERAL HUGE ABNORMALITIES WITH THE RESULTS. We found out after 3 weeks when we called the lab itself and had them forward the results to our pediatrician. The office staff are rude, unhelpful and never call you back. Rosen himself seemed like a decent guy, but we never heard from him again after we went down there. This guy is great if you want to give him money and never hear from him again. We have gone to see them multiple times and appreciated the PA who was honest and open about our sons diagnosis and we especially liked the nurse who administered our sons EEG. Was happy to get into see Dr. Rosen rather quickly but his staff was completely disengaged at the front desk. Having us fill out forms and pay the copay seemed to be their only interest. It looked like they were always doing multiple things which is fine but when you are nervous about your child's potential diagnosis, the last thing you are thinking about is paying cash or check for the services since they told my husband "we don't take credit cards and since we did this time you can NEVER use a credit card again." Dr. Rosen if you read these know that this is a pretty harsh standard for processing payments In a world right now we're most people don't use or carry cash or checks. I will continue to go to you because I love your PA but if we're not for her we probably would have gone elsewhere We have gone to see them multiple times and appreciated the PA who was honest and open about our sons diagnosis and we especially liked the nurse who administered our sons EEG. Dr. Greg Rosenn has been amazing. Very thorough with his exams and really explains what our son is going through. It's never easy putting your son on medication but after many years of traditional educational therapy (speech, ABA, general counseling) we realized our son Brandon needed a bit more help. Results don't happen overnight but after being treated by Dr. Rosenn we see a significant difference in his behavior and attention span which has greatly improved his academic performance.

He is a nice doctor and does speak to you in length, although I feel he talks more than listens and talks over you when you try to ask a question. I have left not feeling I have all the answers. The testing appointment was poor. I waited for an 1 1/2 hours and the results were invalid due to testers mistake and had to be redone. The staff is hit or miss. The front office receptionist is not welcoming and the others seem nice but not particularly competent.

I have been taking my daughter to Dr. Rosenn for 7 years. He is very thorough and does not rush you through your visit. He does a comprehensive evaluation before he reaches a diagnosis and plan for treatment. He listens to all of my concerns and always treats us with respect. My daughter loves seeing him and he interacts very well with her. The office staff is always friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend him and his office.

The worst office and patient care ever!!!! Do not go, neurologists are dime a dozen, find another one. Rude receptionists, 1 to 1 1/2 wait time with an appt. no results or call back for two weeks at a time!!!! Don't go to him...

While Dr. Rosenn seems like a competent neurologist, dealing with his office is a nightmare. They are not mean, just incompetent. Half the time when you call to schedule and appointment or ask a question, you get voicemail and no return call. Requesting any kind of documentation for the visit after the fact is an exercise in futility, at this point I have spent two weeks trying to get a copy of my sons chart and no one there is capable of assisting me.
