Gil A Weizer

This guy's a nightmare. I was subjected to him via a recent ER admission at Christ Hospital. Following 12 hours of pain and 6 hours of delays getting into the hospital, he shows up in my room, spits out a few details about my kidney stone and next steps of treatment while I'm barely cognizant. The next morning I'm scheduled for surgery, and told by the nurses that Doc Weizer wants them to put me under and have me ready because he's running late. I have questions and say "no". He shows up and seems irritated that I have questions, at one point saying "we went over this last night in your room". Next morning I'm supposed to be released, and we're waiting and waiting on Doc Weizer. He says he'll be in by 9:30 - !0:00. Shows up at 10:40. He tells me about what he found during surgery and what the next steps need to be, also that he's going to assign a prescription to deal with the pain and discomfort. Finally he says that he has another patient to help, but will take care of my release paperwork right after that. Two hours later, I'm still sitting in my hospital room waiting on the doctor's paperwork. Next, I get home and note that my urinary urges are almost uncontrollable and there's a lot of associated pain. Then I find that the prescription is held up for some reason, so I don't have any relief. The next day I find that I need details of the prescription to be authorized, and even when they are, the pharmacy doesn't have this drug. So how do I get assigned a prescription without the Doctor knowing it might be difficult to find? Why couldn't I have been given a small quantity to get me through a day or so leaving the hospital, or have the prescription filled at th4e hospital pharmacy? I'm still looking for a source to fulfill the prescription, 24 hours later. To sum up on Doctor Weizer so far: lousy bedside manner, abusive of my time, irresponsible about my treatment. Terrible. Avoid Christ Hospital Urology. They refuse to conduct the test to identify a pathogen, or an exam, or a simple procedure to eliminate the pathogen. The Nurse Practitioner should have her license suspended.

Dr. Weizer treated me for kidney stone twice, over 3 years. The second passed while "watchful waiting" on his advice. Another urinary issue found during the second treatment. Though he could have preformed surgery to remedy the problem he recommended going to a specialist surgeon to optimize a healthful outcome. I have complete confidence in this doctor's skill, integrity and insight.

He had great bedside manner and was very patient. He took his time answering all my questions

I felt very comfortable with Dr. Weizer right away. He knows what he is talking about and I have great trust in him. I'm glad I changed from my previous urology practice to seeing Dr. Weizer.

Dr. Weizer is such a great doctor and so kind.....and his nurse Tracy is the BEST!!!

One my first appointment I bought my CD from pros an imagine and he could download it to read it wanted 3 days to find out after I called his office that he wanted an ultrasound, keep in mind I called them. Had ultrasound done over a week ago and have called the office 2-3 times a day for results same thing over and over we will have a nurse call you. I’m in pain need to know what is going on and need paperwork for my job by Monday and today is Friday. This is so unprofessional and unacceptable.

I am totally satisfied with Dr Weizer. He takes the time to explain things very well and is very knowledgable. I had an unusually large BHP condition and lots of bladder stones. He tried treatment in progressive steps before finally referring me to a specialist in HOLEP surgery. Dr Weizer isn't handicapped with an ego problem as are some others. He also tolerates my stupid jokes well. I had the HOLEP surgery and couldn't be more pleased with both doctors as well as the outcome of the surgery.

I didn't trust this doctor. I think he was pushing surgery for no reason and he never did call me back to answer my questions. I couldn't get help when I really needed it. Not trustworthy. His staff was rude too.

I would and have recommended Dr. Weize to my friends.

Dr. Weizer is very attentive and listens to your problem, before deciding what to do. He cares for his patients, and spends an appropriate amount of time with them. I've had docs who have one hand on the doorknob the whole time they are with you, Dr. Weizer is not this way! You feel welcome, and at ease with him.
