After sitting in his waiting room for over a hour and a half never did see a doc. I drive a hour to and show him respect be being ahead of my appointment time you would think that he would give me the same respect and see me in a timely manner.
He is absolutely the sweetest and kindest doctor. He took excellent care of me, explained everything and was very compassionate. I didn’t wait long to see him and his nurse, Philip, is super nice, too!
George saved my life in 1999. I had a major heart attack and was flown to Memphis. He opened several arteries and implanted stents. I went into cardiogenic shock during the night. He knew how critical I was and did not leave the hospital; consequently implanted an assist device which saved my life. George is simply the finest.
Dr. Smith is very personable and deeply cares about his patients. He spends a lot of time with his patients and explains everything with ease. His staff is very kind as well.

Dr. George Smith has a pleasant personality and a very professional and caring manner to his patients. He explains your medical condition thoroughly and answers any questions you have. I would not hesitate to recommend him and his practice to anyone I know that needs cardiac care.
Dr Smith is by far the most caring and knowledgeable doctor I have ever had. I fully trust this man, he does not seem to see a clock when he is with you...as he spends time and explains EVERYTHING ! Great job Dr Smith!

Dr. Smith is a phenomenal doctor. Last year, he saw my mom, Shirley. at the ICU at Lakeview. Her prognosis was very poor, but he was able to place multiple stents and save her life. He has now been her cardiologist for a year at the Bogalusa office. He has been SO thorough in her care and has been amazingly patient in answering our questions, both while she was in and out of the hospital. Dr. Smith is truly a gem and our family will be eternally grateful to him.
There are cardiologists, good cardiologists, great cardiologists and there is Dr. George Smith. His ability to diagnose and treat cardiac disease is outstanding and his dedication to his patients is beyond exemplary. No other cardiologist I have known is in his league as far as being able to get to the source of the problem and provide treatment in a timely, most up-to-date technological manner. He sets the example for other doctors. He has saved my life many times and deserves 100 stars!

My mother, 2 of my uncles, my brother in-law, sister & 3 of my dearest friends have been seeing Dr. Smith for nearly 13 years. He explains things & takes time listening to his patients, more than any cardiologist they had tried before. He is adamant about giving his patients the extra mile in terms of their care & treatment. He is smart yet so down to earth. My family & friends will not go back to the care they experienced prior to Dr. Smith. They like feeling like a VIP, rather than a number

Dr. George Smith was my husband's cardiologist in Memphis. He was absolutely the best! He was one of the first if not the first doctor in the area to perform stent surgery. He is an amazing physician. We miss him in Tennessee.
A wonderful straight forward caring knowledgeable gentleman as well as an excellent doctor!
