George Dooneief

I have gait and balance abnormalities as a result of hydrocephalus-related VP shunt surgery in 2018. After a medication review, neurological exam. and an observation of my walking about 3 feet (with the aid of a PT-prescribed Balancewear vest, Dr Dooneheief concluded that my diagnosis was psychological in nature, but that I should continue with physical therapy and undergo psychoneurological testing. I am furious with his dismissive, non-caring attitude. My interaction with him ranks as one of the worst medical specialist visits I have ever had. I absolutely will never return to see him again, and I strongly advise anyone looking for a neurologist to exclude him from any consideration. Note: I saw him at the Blue Bell office.

I was a patient of Dr. Dooneief for many years and was always pleased with the care I received. He is a blunt person which not everyone might prefer but he is a great doctor as long as you don't mind that! Also, Donna and the women at the front desk were always so very nice and helpful!!

Very cursory exam. Went twice. Asked few questions and gave little information.

There is not an option for zero stars, so I have to give him one star. Never met a more condescending doctor in my life. I do not think he could have shown less interest in our case. I now understand why he is accepting new patients, nobody returns after initial visit.

The doctor was very thorough.

Bad migraine sufferer for 30 years. He's not a scintillating personality but it takes a few visits to get to know him. I'd just say he's quiet & reserved. He knows his stuff, asks the right questions and has given me the right treatment on the first try. I'm not looking for a warm & fuzzy experience - just effective treatment, which I've received. I'm sure I'm not his most interesting patient, but I never felt less important. Office staff is super! Refills and appointments are easy! So very glad I found this doc - being practically migraine-free changed my life.

Dr Dooneief was amazing. He ran late but the wait was well worth it. I have a multitude of medical issues and am very picky about my doctors. Dr. Dooneief was attentive, professional and listened to absolutely everything I needed to say. He was compassionate and very thorough. I would recommend him highly!!

He was cold, judgmental, condescending and unpleasant. Unprofessional.
