Dr. Gaylia Chavis Smith

Due to personal and health issues I have not been to a dentist in about 13 years. The hygienist was so caring as she walked me through each step. She explained the things needed to get me back to all of my teeth being healthy. The Dr was so nice and was professional. Leaving the office I have a clear plan set up for a few fillings. I would definitely recommend this provider to anyone looking for a dentist. Thanks to all who made a nervous patient feel at ease.

My visit with this dentist is always pleasurable. Everyone at her establishment makes you feel so welcome. Each one of them make it a point to speak, whether it be coming in the door or walking out. When I have an issue Dr. Smith always makes it a point to make sure I'm very knowledgeable about what is going on when examining me. Very professional, and you can tell she enjoys her job. When my son comes with me he always finds it humorous when she says "brush & floss all of the teeth you want to keep". My visit with this dentist is always pleasurable. I typically do not leave reviews, but I feel my experience should be shared with Dr. Smith. She has absolutely no bedside manners, as others have mentioned. She is very rude and does not make you feel comfortable nor welcome as a patient. She and the hygienist giggled back and forth and ridiculed me while I was in the room being examined after my cleaning. This type of behavior is both unacceptable and unprofessional. My first visit with Dr. Smith was also my last. Very disappointing this individual is in a field requiring direct contact with patients. Zero stars would be given if this was an option.

I had made an appointment to have a filling repaired/replaced. Went in for appt and asst. started numbing wrong side of mouth. I immediately questioned and sat up and removed the numbing agent from said wrong side to talk to assistant. I was told dentist would be in momentarily. I knew what tooth I was there to have fixed but yet the very unprofessional dentist proceeded to raise her voice with me that my pre estimate wasnt for what I had actually called in for. I still know what needed to be repaired and upon her doing a visual she saw my issue and replied I was right. That did not make me feel any better after she had the nerve to raise her voice with me and hardly let me get a word in edgewise. She said I needed a small filling in the tooth I knew nothing about. I was never told about that. I was only told about my cracked crown and tooth with broken filling in top right of my mouth. I have NEVER had a supposed professional raise their voice with me. I tried to stick it out with her...but, I just can't take Dr.Smith anymore!??This woman is Very rude, she has ZERO Bedside manners, she has a nasty disposition, she has no people skills and she's extremely obnoxious!People who lack BASIC people skills, SHOULD NOT BECOME Doctors...OR any type of proffession that involves dealing with people on a personal and professional level! I should have left after my original Doctor retired! Money shouldn't be the #1 reason to be a Dr. It should be PATIENTS!

The very best dentist I have ever had. Really concerned about my pain and sensitivity, I've never had a dentist that took the time and care about my pain even when it didn't concern my teeth. It was actually my lymph nodes in my chin causing my pain and sensitivity but she made sure I was going to follow up with my MD about this. Even though she is my "mouth doctor" she was concerned for the rest of my body. Repeating myself ... best dentist I've ever had!

Not professional and will find problems that don't exist for more money. I can't recommend to anyone. I just wish I had read the negative reviews first and I could have avoided this so called Dr.

Ignorant and overcharges for everything!! Told me I needed to have two root canals. Went to another dentist and all they said I needed was a cleaning. Dishonest and not professional.

Horrible attitude! This woman is extremely rude and very rough in your mouth. I went in for a basic cleaning and she literally had me crying in pain. She then tells me I need $4,750.00 worth of dental work! I went to another Dentist and all he said I needed was a cleaning. She is unprofessional and money hungry looking for problems that don't exist. RUN from this place!

I feel Dr. Smith is not forthcoming and honest in her reviews and assessments as other professionals in the field simply do not come close to agreeing with her prognosis.
