Dr. Faye Evelyn Brownfield

I've been seeing Dr. Brownfield since I was a teenager. She is a true professional and has the experience to help you.

I saw Dr. Brownfield for family sessions growing up, and I am still trying to undo the trauma caused by this horrible woman. As a child, I begged my mother to change doctors, but it took several years for her to understand and see the manipulation and abuse from Dr. Brownfield. I was in college when they finally left. When my mother moved on to another psychiatrist, she said she was shocked by the contrast in care and compassion of her new doctor. Further, her new doctor found that she was on a slew of unnecessary medications! My mother is in the healthiest, happiest place ever since switching to her now doctor about 8 years ago. Not only was Dr. Brownfield short tempered, but she was emotionally manipulative and thrived on creating family drama. Dr. Brownfield gave me a false diagnosis and put me on medication as a 7 year old child. I’m 26 now, and I have a lovely doctor, who confirmed that this diagnosis was false. I do however have a generalized anxiety disorder, partially due to trauma in my childhood (hmmm). Stay away from this doctor at all costs.

We as a family were very disappointed during our time with her. She’s very short tempered.

We should have looked at reviews earlier. Go to someone better. It was a complete waste of time. She has a very short temper.

This is 1 star too many. We used to go to her when I didn’t have a say because I was a kid and she has screamed at me more times than I can count! Protect your children from this kind of crazy please!!! She has a way to mess up families and self esteem. Warning if you value your sanity do NOT see her because she DOES NOTHING BUT HARM

I understand now why I couldn't find any good reviews on this doctor. Like the only other reviews I could find on this lady are "don't waste your time" ----REALLY don't waste your time! Trust what you read. It's a shame.

After just one appointment for my child with Dr. Brownfield, I terminated all services with her. Something came up during the time of my child's next scheduled appointment, and I informed her that we would need to reschedule, if possible.. This sent her into a bit of a frenzy. When she found out that both parents would not be able to make some of the appointment times she gave me, she proceeded to to try to lecture me (We both work different schedules). While I was respectful and polite to this lady the entire time I spoke to her, she was very rude and demeaning to me over the and in person. She continued to try to press her point about me rescheduling and how inconvenient that was for her.. My child could make the appointment, just both parents could not be there, she was just being unmanageable.. I finally had enough and terminated services with her on the spot. I can only be nice to a rude person for so long before I basically tell them to take a hike. Unprofessional - this lady flat out told my child in our first appointment that things were not going to get better, no exaggeration there. In short, Dr. Brownfield is a very rude and unprofessional person, this is my opinion. When I showed up to her house and alerted her that I was there (only a few minutes early) she seemed annoyed and told me I would have to wait outside of where she lives, which is off a dark road back in the canyon - no place to wait but on the dark road back in the canyon. Hope this helps anyone needing some information on Dr. Brownfield.
