Literally too afraid of a law suit to be a good doctor. My baby was less than 3 weeks old and I was having trouble breast feeding. She Referred me to the lactation nurse in Charleston. He was asleep when we went in and we he didn't nurse immediately the consultant told me he was a floppy baby and I needed to seek medical help. When I tried to explain to Dr. Tuckwiller My concerns, she told me that she wasn't certified to address the issue and trusted the nurses opinion over her own.

I became so frustrated with this Doctor! Every time we went to her office she referred us out or didn't answer our questions. She tested for flu and strep even if the child didn't show any signs of the illness. I finally became so frustrated that I cried. As a first time parent, I was super nervous so I asked a lot of questions. She would never answer them, always saying that "If I had concerns about his development I should call birth to three." I did, and they said he was fine.

She was more concerned over my sons weight than anything else. Told us we needed to give him more calories in his bottle when I was breastfeeding and supplementing what I couldn't produce and breastfed babies don't gain weight as fast as formula babies. Also every appointment she would ask if he had a heart murmur at the appointment before and when we would say no she would say ok well if he did it's gone now. When we switched pediatricians we never heard a single complaint about his weight.
