Dr. Roy has been extraordinarily helpful on two occasions. I'm a physician myself, but once called him because I urgently needed a tetanus shot after a gardening mishap, and once because both my husband and I were sick as proverbial dogs with influenza. Dr. Doug is smart, competent, thorough, and VERY caring, a physician's physician indeed.

I have been a patient for 25 years. He's really a great doctor and communicator. He is very intelligent and sensitive. He never underestimates the concerns or intelligence of his patients. If you need to see a specialist, he can recommend great doctors and help to get you in to see them.He has called on a weekend to see how I'm feeling. He has written letters of reference to specialists. One thing to know- he will send you out for labs, as the equipment in the office is limited.

Dr. Roy is a great internist. I called in and got an appointment right away. When I showed up, I was greeted by Dr. Roy in a very friendly, relaxed atmosphere. I only waited a few minutes before going into one of the rooms. This was no ordinary doctor visit where they rush you in and out in between long periods of waiting. Dr. Roy took the time to get to know me and had a lot of great advice in addition to medical advice. He is very cheerful, frank, and knowledgeable.
