This Doctor made my wife very sick with his careless ways My advise., stay away, look for someone else!

Worst experience I have ever had with any dr in my life. Runs super late, then when you see him the appointment is minutes long. Dismissed concerns. He put my on Meds that made me vomit every single time I took them. Called his office and they said he told them that was not from the meds and Not for concern. There was many other issues so I switched to a new Dr and told her what was happening with the meds and she told me not only was it common it was common in people who were prescribed too high of a dose. She got me on the correct medicine and a correct dosage and I was fine. Horrible horrible experience.

If I could give this practice zero stars, I would. I was placed on a new thyroid medication and started breaking out in hives a week later. It’s been a month, still experiencing hives and I can’t even get a response from the office. I’ve messaged them several times and a month later…. my issues haven’t been resolved. This is the poorest service and care I’ve ever received. I’ve gone to this office for over a year and I’ve never felt good. They could never get my meds right. Go elsewhere!!!! Just don’t go. He doesn’t care. He doesn’t listen. He does NOT use a numbing agent before doing a thyroid biopsy (I did not go through with it).

Staff was ridiculously rude over the phone before I could even schedule my appointment. Don't even waste your time do not recommend!

Do not see this doctor. This was the most useless and shortest doctors appointment of my entire life. He did not care about my symptoms or even as ask. He looked at his computer the whole time and told me I needed and ordered vitamin D which I already had and walked out.

I saw Dr. Wadwekar back in May due to having high cortisol in my blood. I spoke with his NP, Jena, first and she was very nice and extremely thorough. When I saw the doctor he spent all of two minutes with me, said that I may have a brain tumor, and that I need more testing. No explanation. I went and did the extra testing and got my results back before my appointment. When I saw that some of the results were abnormal, I messaged both Dr. W and Jena on my patient portal inquiring about them. Jena replied quickly and said that my blood sugar was completely off. This was something that I had never been told before and when I checked my results it was within normal range. The next morning the office called and stated that Dr. W wanted to talk to me the following day and that they were moving my appointment up. When we got on the phone Dr. W said that my cortisol was fine but now my thyroid was off and I needed to be put on thyroid medication so I could start regulating my weight (something that I never stated was a problem). A medication that I couldn’t just stop taking; I would have to ween off of it. I’m twenty years old. I don’t want to take a medication for the rest of my life. I would also like to mention that my thyroid was completely in normal range. Now, five months later, I’m seeing a new endocrinologist who has been able to do way better/more extensive testing and given me way more credible and valid responses. This doctor is not knowledgable. Does not spend anytime with you and does not care. Went to a different doctor that provided completely opposite information than he did as well as answered questions that he did not know. Dr. Wadwekar is the best, I have been with other providers that specialize in endocrinology and by far I am pleased with his care and attention to my health not only does he look at the labs but also ask how you "feel" ....... no matter what the labs say , it matters how the patient is feeling and he emphasizes on that. His bed side manner if outstanding. I do not like to see the NP'S in the office . I would recommend only seeing him.

He’s the best, always thorough and doesn’t rush. Love that he doesn’t rush to prescribe meds! I wouldn’t take my mother to anyone else!

maybe Wadwekar is a competent doctor but his medical staff and specifically his medical assistant (who was nasty to me on the phone) are awful. There is no personal care.. they heard you in and out and collect the money. After today I am never going back!

I have been going to see Dr. Wadwekar for many years now. He is my favorite doctor and truly cares about his patients. He always gives me good weight loss information and works with me to get my A1C down. I like his staff and his office is always nice and clean. Excellent Doctor that listen to his patients

I went for 2 visits now and soon to have 3rd. The Dr. was friendly and even had a bit of humor. He was easy to talk with and feel he was very thorough. I am pleased to have found him and have recommended my own daughter to him.

I have been having symptoms of hypothyroidism for years now and even had a module on my thyroid tested by an ENT. When I brought the test results to Dr Wadwaker, he told me he didn't like to even look at them and wanted to run his own tests. So they took my blood (for the third time this year). He didn't take more than 3 minutes with me and didn't ask more than 2 questions about my symptoms. So disappointing. Not sure how you can make a prognosis off such little info. But I was told he was great and the reviews also confirmed that to me. But my experience was subpar. Five days after having my blood drawn, the MA called and told me that I was vitamin D deficient. So I asked her some questions to find out if this was causing all of my symptoms and she said she'd ask the dr. She called me the next day and said i just needed to drink more water! I was so frustrated. My mom suffered with hypothyroidism for years before dr's diagnosed her. The problem with some dr's is that they put you in this box of what is normal but don't want to explore why you don't feel normal. They want to sit and do as little work as possible to really help. Such a waste of my money and time! I am now seeing Dr Cronin at Desert Wellness Center and she is actually asking questions, doing exams and really problem solving. So refreshing to feel like my money is being spent wisely. I will add the my husband has been type 1 diabetic since he was 6 and so we've seen many endocrinologist in many states. Just found a new doctor who has discovered that Dr. Wadwekar MISS DIAGNOSED me and said I have Hashimotos when I do not. He kept upping my dosage on synthroid and when I told him it was causing panic attacks he told me it was a side effect and that I needed to continue taking it. Turns out I don't need to take thyroid meds at all and my numbers are in the normal range. Instead, I have a virus... my new doctor states that he ran the correct tests and read them wrong because most of the time elevated TPO is caused because of hashimotos. He was wrong... When I told him I didn't want to take the synthroid because of the side effects he sent me a letter saying that I'm not taking my health seriously and that I have been terminated as his patient. When I called to talk with him the receptionist said "sorry, he won't talk to you because he sent you the termination letter and doesn't want to be held responsible for your health". I highly recommend getting a second opinion if you're weary of his diagnosis, or better yet, find someone who can do their job correctly. Dr Wadwekar is a great doctor! After years of bouncing around to different endocrinologists, I am so happy to have finally found a doctor who is knowledgeable and open to trying new things. I finally have energy again and been able to maintain a healthy weight after years of fluctuation. He is kind, personable and funny. I'm a new patient with this Dr but I've been searching for an endocrinologist for months and am so happy to have found Dr Wadwekar. He is caring, efficient and thorough in his approach. His office is clean and welcoming and his front desk and back office staff are of the highest quality. He is easy to schedule with and ran right on time on the day I was there. Tried to reschedule appointment day ahead. Called office number and it rang multiple times. When picked up instructed you to go to myazdr.com to reschedule. That address states not found. Found Dr. W. in another group of endocrinologists so tried to reschedule there but they do not reschedule his appointments. Called office number again and even though it states it responds to portal messages first I left a voice mail stating date and time which is more than 24 hours.

I'm am established patient and haven't seen this doctor for months now, I'm a cancer survivor. I don't know if this place has a new scheduler, it was easy before but now it is like being punished, if you reschedule, more waiting time is coming your way, the doctor has five-minutes appointments visits and I never wait when I go. if there are new policies about rescheduling somebody should send an official note..

Been going here for a few years now. Great doctor that cares about his patients and does what is best for you even when you hope he is wrong. I would recommend this doctor to anyone.

I am a native to Arizona and have been seeing endocrinologist since 2004. Frustrated, overweight, tired, dry skin, hair falling out and thin, I decided to try a different endocrinologist (insert Dr. Wadwekar) 3 years ago and I have never been more happy with an endocrinologist. He's personable, funny, caring and knowledgeable. He listens to how you feel and doesn't just read labs and tell you tough you dot feel well your labs look good. I look better, I have more energy, my stylist comments how much better my hair is. I stopped seeing a dermatologist for excessive dry skin. He remembers things about me from visit to visit how with how many patients he has I don't know. And he doesn't run hours behind. His time is valunable and so is yours. I highly recommend him. I would never recommend this Dr to anyone. Save your self the trouble! For starters they don't answer the phone and the online portal doesn't work. Second, he spends no time with you during your appointment. Could not even provide accurate information on the medicine he prescribed me. Scary! -sarah V

I have seen Dr. Wadwekar for over a year and have been highly satisfied with his professionalism, knowledge of diabetes and various treatments and his kindness and encouragement. He has helped me gain and maintain control of my diabetes. I would recommend him to anyone.

The appointment although the front desk lacked any serious communication skills. He billed me 319.00 for a 20 minute office visit. His bill said it was a level 4 office visit, with 5 taking the most time. Combining this with the other reviews here, I would definitely stay away.

Their front office staff are very rude and always have an attitude when I question something. They need to learn customer service. The doc is very stiff. Not welcoming at all. I guess medical school doesn't look at personalities.

Would NOT recommend Dr. Wadwekar. He treated my 83 yr old father for several years. My father has been hospitalized several times in the past year,due to the many health problems he has. Due to this he had to cancel some scheduled appointments with Dr. Wadwekar. Since then My father received a letter from Dr. Wadwekar telling him he would no longer treat him due to "non-compliance." Refusing to see your patients because they cancelled appointments due to hospital stays is ridiculous!!

Scheduled an appointment, decided that this doctor was not who I wanted to see based off the reviews on here as well as another Doctor's opinion. Tried to cancel appointment as I was told there would be a $50 cancelation fee. It took several phone calls and phone transfers. When I finally reached their office there was no answer and the recording said I had to sign up through the patient portal to cancel. Okay. But seriously...more time signing up. No place on portal to cancel. Ridiculous.

I am not very fond of the receptionist or the front desk. She is not very friendly. She was pretty rude and does not show that she cares. She does not seem to like what she is doing. If you are going to be facing patients everyday and especially you are in the frontline, you should make them feel welcome and be more courteous to them. As for Dr. Wadwekar, he was attentive. He was hands-on as he did the vitals himself. However, he seemed like he was rushing to get out. He was ok.

last time I was there beginning October 2016 , I had some question about possible side effects I go true with my thyroid medication armour I take for grave disease, the answer I get was I don't know !!! I don't seen dr wadewaker the last 2 times I was there, i got a woman working for him , im paying for the doctor advise not for some I don't know anything these disease is way to important to play with its my health my body and I never go back there im very disappointed !!!

I'm a Primary Addisons Disease patient of five years now and have recently moved 1400 miles away from my old Endocrinologist who was top notch. I couldn't be more blessed to have found a dedicated professional as well as his compassionate ways and willingness to understand concerns from a patients point of view. All i can say is thank you.

Professional however he's a bit dismissive with any medical concerns you may have. Never really addresses concerns with serious consideration surrounding your medical condition ad appears to be rushed. Wait times are a bit too kong and when he comes in to visit with you, any questions you may have are not fully addressed. He is fast to move to the next patient. One feels rushed.

He was professional-not personal My appointment was on April 4-he told me my problem was not endocrine related I needed to see a neurologist and he would refer me. He drew yet more lab It is now April 20-- I have heard nothing but received a bill for over $300 for labs and a bill from his office for $35 co-pay in addition to what my insurance paid. I don't feel I have received any services.

Doctor was very nice and had a relaxed but interested demeanor. He seemed very knowledgable and even though the other doctor's office forgot to send my labs, was able to discuss different approaches to help me start feeling better again.

Changing from a GP to DR Wadwekar I brought my existing meds per their request. First time I refilled one, the dose was off. Knowing that medication prevents a complication that was a potential side effect of New meds from doc, I contacted the pharmacy. They said that is what was called in. I called the clinic and the gal I talked to made it sound like it was my fault-even though I beouht in existing prescription bottles. They called in new. But they again sent the wrong dose.

Dr Wadwekar is one of the best doctors I have ever been too. At first I was unsure what to do when I met him 2 years ago, his personality is not like my other doctors I had been to before moving here. He is humble, quick to help, and willing to answer questions and try things! Recently he helped me get an OmniPod to try to help me since my MiniMed was getting ripped with the cord a lot. I gave it a try but my A1C started to rise. Just simply asking him if I could go back he provided me with a medical case in my favor to give my insurance who was refusing. With in 2 weeks I had my new pump, and on my way to better health! If you want a doctor who is going to look out for your health, this is the place to go! His staff is great, and will always go the extra mile. My first visit I even had them out on the street trying to find me since I had gotten lost! Can't say it enough this is the office to be at!
