Dr. David Charles Haas

Dr. Haas is a wonderful doctor. His office staff, particularly Francis, is HORRIBLE!!! She looked into my medical files and tried to argue with me about a conversation I had with MY doctor about MY mental health when I called to schedule a follow-up appointment. Very unprofessional that she looked into my medical files. Very unprofessional that she argued with me about my treatment plan. Very unprofessional how she communicates with patients who are there for obvious reasons. Dr. Haas is wonderful, but Francis is the reason why I had to find a new doctor. My new doctor's office staff has ZERO access to my medical files. When I call them they do what office personnel is suppose to do. Take payments and schedule appointments. Refused to see me after I missed an appointment with the psychologist that I thought I rescheduled. I have PTSD, & a serious background of trauma (with subsequent bipolar) with admitted memory issues because of the things I’ve gone through. What kind of mental health professional refuses to see a patient for missing an appointment with another doctor and it’s likely from having mental health issues!!!! Dr. Haas is so sweet, so caring, so kind. He's an outstanding psychiatrist.

I was referred to Dr.Haas by one of his colleagues in central Arkansas, and I'm very grateful that he accepted me as a new patient. Both Dr.Haas and his staff have been very polite, professional, and most importantly, have treated me as a valued patient. I had not previously participated in a telehealth appointment before, but his staff made it easy to do and the appointment was every bit as thorough as any in-person appointment I've had. Dr.Haas took his time at our appointment, helped me where I needed help, and showed numerous qualities that I think are important when looking for a long term practitioner-patient relationship.

Today was not the best day. Due to my interaction with DR DAVID HAAS’s office receptionist in MAUMELLE ARKANSAS. I DO FEAR FOR OTHER PSYCHIATRIST PATIENTS WHO COME IN CONTACT WITH HER. I called the office and a lady answered the phone (no name given). I questioned why my teleconference appointment is now 40 minutes pass due. She spoke AT ME at 90 miles an hour. I explained who I was. She chewed me out. Said I messed the whole the appointment up by not downloading her email she sent me. I looked through my emailS, while she was screaming at me and blaming me. I told her I didn’t get an email from Haas Psych or anyone affiliated with this appointment. She basically said I was a lair. She scheduled me again for Wednesday 2/10/2021 at 10:20. She proceeded to slam the phone down in my ear. I sat in utter shock. I thought about it. I must report this incident. This is a PSYCHIATRIST OFFICE. What if I was suicidal? What if she had pushed me over the edge?? I called back to talk with Dr. Haas. I feel he must know how his psychiatrist patients are being treated. Every time I called back, ( about 3 times) she would screen my call,, yell at me a little and hang up again. The last time she transferred me to some number and left me hanging on a voice loop for about 20 minutes. I suppose she transferring me to an empty room. Well I just sat there and let it for what seemed like Eternity. Finally Another lady answered (no name). I asked to speak to Dr Haas. Well he was in a meeting. I explained to her I was issuing a formal complaint and wanted to give him the courtesy of advising him of the situation. She stated she would have Francis the office manager call be back. I gave her my name and number. The call was ended.The suicide rate is at an all time high. Psychiatrist patients should be treated with respect and dignity as well as all people. Francis called back. I told her the situation. She seemed to not care. I canceled the Wednesday appointment. I am currently looking for another Doctor.

Very pleasant. Listened to what I had to say and not just pretended to listen. Rebecca was also great in answering any questions I had.

I have been with Dr. Haas office since 2011. I have never had an issue or concern about my cares. I highly recommend his staff for your cares. I have seen children to older adults in the waiting room. Great place and I like he prefers natural/herbal treatments.

Took my son to him for a bit and he just kept adding more and more medicine. After visiting with my pediatrician and another psychiatrist, my son was weaned off all the meds because he didn’t need them. He also always wanted me to buy something he was selling in the office. Dr. Haas was always in a hurry and doesn’t really listen. I also had to pay $150 fee for a letter that my child’s school requested. However, no fee was ever mentioned until I went to pick it up. I agree with other reviews. D

I've not seen Dr. Haas since I first started going there over 2 years ago. If you don't call to cancel 48 hours prior they will charge you for the full visit. Even if it is the weekend. It is not possible since they don't take appointment information on his crisis line. The N.P. I saw was very helpful though.

I love Dr. Haas. He has helped me and a family member very much.

Well, after reading other reviews on this site and others, apparently Im not the only one who had an awful experience at this clinic. The two front office girls are the most classless and tactless individuals I have come across in a customer service position in my life.

Matthew R Frederick broke my trust. Discussing other people's sessions to me in detail and trying to make me believe that my loved ones are just as bad. They make you think something's wrong with you instead of help you. Stay away!

Good experience visiting with Dr Hass. I would refer people to him. His staff has gone above and beyond to work with you in scheduling you appointment, to assist in financial situations, and the individual session that meet with the adult and/or children are phenomenal. Do not pass Dr Hass up, he is worth EVERY penny of it.

I had a similar experience as Kyle G. My daughter was an established patient. I had to cancel an appt due to a work emergency, cost me $150. I spent over 1000 in treatment for my child and they would not waive this one time offense. Nvm that they have cancelled on us before. Their office staff, especially manager, lacks customer service skills.

I was treated badly and my health was put in danger. I ended up in the hospital with Serotonin syndrome. A month later I was cancelled as a patient, before I was even stabilized from the ordeal, and sent away with a 1 month prescription for a med that they knew was raising my blood pressure. I think I was cancelled because they knew their malpractice caused the hospitalization. The office staff is rude and has zero empathy.

Cannot speak about the doctor but more about the staff and policies. The summary of the story is regular patient who already spent several hundreds of dollars with the clinic, missed one appointment due to work emergency. They charged full appointment cost ($137) and refused to work with me. A reasonable fee would be $20-$25 for one missed appointment, not $137. Seems to be more about making money than helping people for this practice. I do not recommend them to anyone.

Dr. Haas was great but there's a huge downside. If you miss an appointment you have to pay for the full session AND they give you the option to have someone call and remind you of your appointment BUT it's not garenteed. " it's a courtesy". Then why the hell would you offer it?! It's like me offering you peanut butter jelly sandwich and not including the jelly because its not guaranteed. Dr. Haas was great but there's a huge downside. I went to see him but was put with a lady named Heather. I was put on a medicine that was not allowed for CDL drivers. So I have not been able to work in weeks. They are in no hurry to help. They even made me pay $150 to write a letter that I have to have to get back to work. Which is hard to do when you cant work.His staff is very rude and does not care about their patients. If they could not work to support their family it would be different I'm sure. Drs are suppose to help families.

He's a wonderful, caring physician. Excellent listener. He really wants to get to the bottom of what's ailing you as opposed to just giving out medicine.
