This Dr's office is ignorant and they do not know how to speak or treat anyone. Everytime i have sent a message it is ignored with no response back or when i call all i get is an attitude like you are bothering them. I was discharged out of Mchughs care due to his staff being ignorant and me standing up for myself. I wouldn't recommend or use this company if it was the last place on earth. Dr Mchugh doesn't listen to anything you say. The appointment times are never on time. It takes longer to get checked in and do blood pressure than he is in the room with you. Poor Dr i wouldn't pick him for workers compensation ever if needed. I would rather deal with pain than to see him or his ignorant staff members. STAY FAR FAR AWAY GO TO AOS IN HERMITAGE or anywhere else Do not go to this place.

Dr. McHugh has been very helpful with my spinal issues. The staff is also very helpful. I would refer him to anyone.

Horrible doctor. Treats you like you're not even a person. He won't let you speak. Didn't even read my chart. I suggest you see a different doctor as I wouldn't trust him with a dead bug.

It was a terrible and traumatic experience. I was told my pain is all in my head and I he will only give me hydrocodone even though I have hep C. I have a completely crushed left foot, limited mobility, crushed wrist and titanium in my back, foot and wrist. in short, he has a god complex and if you truly need medication this isn't the place for you!

Dr was a know it all. Did not listen. Did not know what was in my chart. Would not really allow me to speak. Cut me off. No bedside manner. I have been under pain management for over 10 yrs and never had my meds cut like he cut them. Worst pain management Dr I have ever seen !!!! NO "management" of anything !! Everyone else at same practice has been pretty good !!

Dr. Mchugh is one of the best Doctors I could ask for. Thank Doc

The absolute best. I saw him some years ago, and haven't had any problems since!! When he was at Centennial Med. Center in Nashville.

My experience was unfortunately not a good experience. I felt he degraded everything my np had done he did not listen.he spoke an that is it. I do not believe in any circumstances that he listen. His mind was made up prior to entry. He has caused me financial j an pain that should mot have happened

Worst experience with MD! 16 ortho surgeries & yrs of records. On same meds for 12 yrs, perfect compliance. CPS closed down & PMG took over. On my first visit, he was arrogant & clueless about my history. Without looking at 3 inch file, xrays, etc., he spent 5 minutes with me & eliminated ALL my Extended Relief med & reduced breakthrough med by 50%. I was in utter shock. I am a professional, dress and conduct myself as such. Daily I push through pain! I have never been treated w/ such disrespect

I’m a patient of Dr McHugh & I highly recommend him as an extremely professional & knowledgeable Physician in the areas of chronic pain Hes also a very compassionate Dr which if you’ve ever dealt with chronic pain it’s helpful to have a Physician who also cares about his patients I totally trust him to treat sports or other injuries from auto accidents or falls at work which I suffer from all three I also highly recommend NP Gazeley who is equally as professional compassionate & understanding!

If you think you are going to see Dr. McHugh for any chronic pain issues think again. I saw him on the initial visit and that was it. I understand that alot of clinics operate this way now. I was turned over to a NP named Deanne Threapleton. Ms Threapleton and the clinic are interested in one goal. That is to get the patient completely off any pain meds. This clinic is not interested in pain management at all. They might as well be considered a detox unit. Owned by Sen. Dr. Detox Dickerson

Most horrible experience I have ever had. He does not listen to what you have to say nor does he act like he cares. He definitely does not read your chart because if he did he would not have to ask the same questions overs and over again. When you tell him something works he backtracks and does something different.. He offers no long term solutions at all.

If you are looking for a physician and staff that will put the patient first, then this is NOT the place. When you have chronic pain, you need someone to attentively respond to your CARE.. This office blatantly tells you, 5 days after the fact, that they do not have to return or respond to your telephone call for 48 hrs. The staff tells you that you are NOT allowed to receive a call back from Dr. McHugh, as well as NO same day appts blocked for this busy office, and ZERO empathy from Doctor
